Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 1:23 pm

Ooc: Normal rules apply, if you don't know them then you can read them here. This board is completely open; I encourage new members to join, so you can get some good RPing done. The plot of this RP is down to my awesomely crazy mind. Enjoy!
Plot: Recently, strong winds have begun to blow in the town of Harglen (T3). And when they woke up this morning, the town's residents found small multicoloured pieces of paper swirling on the air currents. The paper has thickened, leaving layers on the ground and great waves are frequently blown up by the wind which is morphing into a hurricane. Of confetti. This is obviously not a natural event; people want to know who's doing this to them. If the winds get any stronger, they will cause serious damage in the town, and they have only been increasing in strength. The people want to send out a group to track down whoever is doing this; and it has to be the best, it could be a powerful magician.
Setting: Harglen. Imagine very strong winds, confetti everywhere, cows blown off their feet and floating for several seconds on a gust... Put it this way, if you have wings you'll want to be careful with them.

I will be using my Scythe Claw dragon, I can intro when he has a name Smile I might bring in an NDC too, I'll see how it goes.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 1:45 pm

Starling was just moving cities when she felt a huge gust of wind beneath her wings, pulling her forwards. She had been flying for close to an hour, and she had been dropping quickly for some time, and the wind came as a welcome support to her tired wings. She had just left Tarz in search of a new town to stay in, but the journey had been longer than she had anticipated. Her shoulders burned, and her wings felt like they would break if she went much further. She opened them wide in a gentle glide, letting the wind push her along. She saw a tiny scrap of paper in the wind as she glided, occasionally flapping to retain altitude. Then another. Soon, she was in the midst of a small confetti storm, and could hardly see ahead of her. She could just make out the walls of Harglen from her position, and pushed onwards, ignoring the pain in her wings as she flew.

As the walls grew nearer, the wind grew stronger. She was about quarter of a mile away from the city now, and the wind was getting unbearable. Suddenly, one eddy of the swirling storm caught her left wing, and pulled it agonisingly backwards. She screamed, and began to spiral towards the ground. Faster and faster she fell, before crashing in the middle of a road. She landed heavily on her left wing and arm, and heard a crunch s she hit the stones. Tears welled in her eyes, but she forced herself to stand up. Her wind hung uselessly on the ground, but she folded the other one carefully. Setting off at a fast jog, she tried to reach the safety of the city as quickly as possible.

When she arrived, her damaged wing was being pulled by the hurricane, and a scatter of tears had moistened her face. Confetti was sticking to the tears and between the feathers of her wings, making her look ridiculous. She scrambled through the gates and clung onto a wall for dear life. She saw a few cows being blown into the air, and felt her light, hollow bones being pulled likewise, but refused to let go. She could see what looked like a tavern just a little way away, and made a dash towards it. Her legs pumped furiously, and she used her good wing to hold herself down against the wind, before crashing towards the tavern door in a scatter of confetti.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 2:32 pm

Jitt turned his face to the sky, nostrils flaring. The wind had come back again, bringing with it an abundance of confetti which he frequently inhaled. As he sniffed the air, a clump of confetti drifted past and was sucked into his nose. Alarmed, Jitt snorted and shook his head. The snort unleashed a small burst of fire which incinerated confetti and evaporated the few drops of rain in the sky. Jitt cringed away from the fire, glancing around guiltily, before realising he was outside Harglen and he hadn't burnt anyone. Most of the residents hadn't been happy when he'd arrived the week before, gliding in with the freak winds. They were terrified of his huge, sword-like claws and the small jets of fire he accidentally produced at regular intervals. It was fair enough really, and Jitt was pleased that he could inspire fear, but he didn't want to make enemies here.
Jitt's bulk held him to the ground, but he was twice the height of a human and longer and wider as well. He found it tricky to move in the streets of the town and there wasn't one building he fit into, so he spent a lot of his time drifting above and letting the gales throw him about. He loved flying, but sadly he couldn't normally. These winds let him, and he wasn't going to leave in a hurry. He now spread his wings and jumped high into the air. A gust picked him up and he was powerfully propelled over the city. It carried him along for a while, but all too soon it began to die away. Jitt caught sight of a large and relatively empty area, and aimed for it as he glid downwards. He landed softly, snorted- letting out a tiny burst of flame which had people screaming briefly- and then shambled over to a building he recognised. With the smaller, less sharp, thumb-like digit on the end of his arm he hooked a window and swung it open. His horns were pushed down against his head as he stuck it inside, shoulders pressed against the outside wall. The patrons quailed, but the man behind the bar grinned. The place was a tavern; and Jitt could see a woman with a broken-looking wing hanging from her back struggling along through another window on the other side of the tavern. He frowned, curious, but was distracted by the bartender standing by his head.
'The normal?' he checked. Jitt nodded, and scanned the tavern. He came here twice a day-one time when he scarfed down copious amounts of cheap ale, the other when he did menial work for the bartender as payment. This largely consisted of carting very heavy loads around the town, but also whatever else the bartender needed doing. Now, Jitt was brought a small barrel of ale and he withdrew his head briefly to puncture a hole in it with one claw, before firmly clamping his mouth around the barrel and tipping it back to take a large gulp from it.

A young man exited the tavern, not caring about the storm outside. He looked around, looking for nothing in particular. His golden eyes shining with amusement, he loved storms, so did his dragons. He kept on walking, just enjoying the weather, suddenly he noticed a few small pieces of paper drifting through the air, and he followed them with his eyes. He raised his eyebrows when he saw an avian clinging to a wall. He marched towards her, determine to help.

It's true that he just got here two days ago, on his dragon's back, but he just can't stop helping people."Well, I guess he won't be happy to stay here for a while more…" He thought with a sigh. He reached behind her, she didn't seem to notice him getting closer so he stopped a few steps away and cleared his throat, "Need help?" He asked with a cold tone.

Starling nodded weakly to the man beside her. Her feet were being blown out from underneath her, and she was loosing her grip on the wall. “It’s not ideal flying weather.” She joked, but her face was too twisted from pain from her wing and the strain of holding on for it to be remotely humorous. “Can you just help me into the tavern over there?” she asked, nodding towards a building with most of a dragon sticking out of it. She was a little confused by the sight of a dragon with its head inside a bar, but she was too exhausted to ask questions. She let go with one hand, and pushed her feet to the floor in a lull of the wind as she tried to fold her wings, but the left one still wouldn’t move. She groaned in frustration – the last time this had happened it had been more than a week before she could fly again, and she had had to stay in the same city for that whole time. She didn’t like staying in one place, unless it was Shayenne, and this was to be no exception. The wind caught her wing again, and she let out a whimper as the broken bones touched, but tried not to make too much of it until she found her way inside. She wasn't sure about the far future right then, but she did know she needed a drink - and a strong one at that.

"That looks really painful" He said , while eyeing her broken wing, "Let's get you inside". He put an arm around her shoulder to help her walk against the hard gusts of wind. "Here you go," He opened the door for her, "If you need a place to stay, I can give you a spare room...With that broken wing, you won't be able to fly for a while, besides you need to rest. Think about my offer, and I'll come find you later" And with that, he walked away, not giving her the chance to speak.

He walked silently to his rented house, hands tucked in his pockets for warmth. "You're late," growled his dragon. " I had some things to attend to, Ladon," He told him, "And it'll be another week or so before we leave". And with that he walked inside, not giving a chance for Ladon to protest. He'd been his rider for a very, very long time that he knows what would Ladon do or say before he really does.

Later that night, he went to the town and sat waiting in the dark for his next target to show up.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 4:02 pm

Starling spluttered a thanks, and sunk into a bar seat. She had a way of finding residence in cities, even ones where she knew nobody. She flapped her wing and arm simultaneously at the barkeeper, and hailed him over to her table.
“How can I help, madam?” the man asked. Starling’s voice caught in her throat, but she managed to splutter out a reply.

“Whatever’s strongest, please? And quickly!” She gasped, twitching as her wing throbbed. She would find someone to set it later, but until then she wasn’t leaving the tavern. The man returned with a tankard of some dark liquid. It smelled like strong ale, mixed with something else, but her wing hurt too much for her to care what it was. She fished in her pocket, and handed over the payment, before burying her nose in the tankard. A few gulps later her head was so clear you could probably see through it, and she was totally relaxed again. Perfect, the drink had done its job.

After downing the last of her drink, she looked around the tavern. It was quiet, but she could see the dragon’s head through the window. He also seemed to be enjoying the service of the bar, and had his mouth clasped over a full barrel of ale. From the smell of it, it was cheap stuff, and she wouldn’t have touched it, but the dragon seemed to be enjoying it. She watched for a moment, before inspecting her wrist. Her heart leapt as she saw no silver glitter there, just bare skin. She leapt up, ignoring her ring and looked all over for the little silver charm bracelet, but couldn’t see it anywhere. She sat down hard, and tried not to let her emotions get the better of her, but she couldn’t ignore the lump in her throat.

Jitt's eyes kept flicking over to the woman with the broken wing. It had to be awful; he couldn't even fly properly and he still couldn't imagine having a broken wing. She now looked distraught, searching for something before slouching back in her seat. That drink had looked pretty lethal, too. He opened his mouth to speak to her, having put his barrel down, but felt a familiar rush of gas and jerked his head out of the window just in time to let the flames which whisked from his mouth blaze harmlessly in the air. He then stuck his head through the window again and projected out with his mind.
Hey there, with the wings. He flicked his horns, hoping the woman wouldn't freak out from his mind touching hers. It really wasn't his fault that he couldn't speak out loud, but some humans acted just like it was.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 4:30 pm

Silver returned his sword in it's sheath and let out a huge sigh, that demon was a pain, but he managed to slay it without getting a scratch. He walked almost aimlessly, checking if the demon dropped anything after it turned to ashes. He notices a silvery glow from beneath some leaves. He bent down and brushed the leaves away with the back of his hand.

He raised an eyebrow in surprise, that's not something a demon would leave behind, he said to himself. He picked up the silver bracelet and headed to the tavern, he had a feeling that the avian is still there, he'd go have a drink and go home. And if she accepts his offer he'd gladly give her the room he promised, and fix her wing if she let him. He tucked the bracelet in his pocket, and went on to have his drink.

He went inside, scanned the room. He noticed a dragon sticking his head from a window, from the looks of it, he was talking to the avian, so Silver went on and sat on a stool opposite to the bar and asked the man to bring him his strongest drink. He'd have an awful headache next morning, but it's worth it. But he'd have to be careful not to get too drunk, so he'd keep his guard up. When the man left to fetch his drink, Silver took out the silver bracelet, examining it in the light.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeWed Feb 23, 2011 4:55 pm

Starling jumped at the touch of another mind, but after her initial shock replied out loud. Her voice was slurred slightly, but her words and thoughts were clear enough. “Yes, erm, dragon?” she asked, presuming that it was the dragon who had spoken. “You can call me Starling, you know, not just the one with the wings” she chuckled a little, letting her worries slip away, but the fact that her bracelet had gone was niggling at her mind. That was all she had from her biological family – no memories, just a bracelet with an undecipherable message, and she desperately wanted it back. She was worried she might have dropped it between the two cities, but she was determined that she would get it back. Even if she had to sleep outside while looking for it, like one of those horrid rouges without a city to stay inside, she would find it.

She recognised the man walking in as the one who had helped her earlier, ad made a mental note to ask his name this time, and turned her attention back to the dragon. “What did you want?” she asked, in as polite a voice as she could manage.

Jitt smiled as Starling replied.
Well, you can call me Jitt instead of just dragon, he responded. He could tell her general emotions from the mind touch; worry, a brief flare of interest as her head turned towards the newcomer, then she turned to him once more.
I don't exactly want anything... Just I was wondering if you were ok with that wing. It looks pretty painful. Is that what you were worrying about? Anyway though, if there's somewhere you needed to get to and you can't with that, I can take you there. Jitt figured that if he was helpful to people in the town they might accept him better; besides, he felt sorry for Starling. He did want to help her. If only he could get into the tavern properly... He picked up the barrel again and glugged from it thirstily.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

“I suppose it probably is, but that last drink was enough to numb anything.” She chuckled. “Nice to meet you, Jitt. I’ll get this thing patched up in a bit, but your help would be much appreciated, I’m sure.” She said, trying to think through the foggy thoughts that the drink had left behind. Fir a moment she forgot what had been worrying her, but the memory soon returned as she caught sight of her bare wrist. “And no, my wing isn’t the problem. It’s my bracelet. I think I lost it on the way here. It was rather special to me….” she trailed off, trying to remember the inscription.

‘To my dear Daughter: ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~family~ ~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~ ~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~ Jackdaww ~~~ ~~ ~~~ ~ ~~~ ~~ ~~~ the other Blackbird~~.’

Six words were all she could read on the tiny charm, and she had been thinking about paying to have it deciphered, but no scribe would take up her petty desires, and she didn’t trust anyone else with the thing. She knew it was important, however, and that she needed it back quickly.

The man at the other side of the tavern seemed intent on something he was holding. When she glanced his way, it glittered silver, but she couldn’t make it out. It looked as through it could have been similar to her bracelet, but she knew (or thought she knew) deep in her heart that it couldn’t be. Even so, she was deeply interested, and found her eyes glued to the trinket.

Feeling a pair of eyes watching him intently, he tucked the bracelet inside the vest's pocket, so it wouldn't fall down. Within a few seconds the bartender returned with his drink. He picked up the drink and stiffed it, deciding that it did not contain anything that would be dangerous or poisonous, he finished it quickly with large gulps, he ordered another.

After deciding that he had enough for the night, he stood up, slamming the money on the counter and turned to leave. The effect of the strong shots started to kick in, but he still managed to keep himself collected. He stopped where the avian was seated. "Have you thought about it?" He asked her, "I'd be waiting outside". And with that, he went outside waiting in the cold air that has small pieces of paper still floating in it.

Starling stood up swiftly, not wanting to miss her place to stay for the night, but was distracted by the bar. Her wing was stinging again, and she had always believed that alcohol was the best cover for it. She asked for another of the large, dark drinks, paid, and finished the drink in three deep swallows. Then she nodded towards the dragon, and muttered something like: “I’ll be in touch.” before walking out of the tavern.

“I’ll take you up on that offer, if it’s still valid.” She chuckled as she stumbled out of the bar. Her words were a little slurred, and her feet were a little unsteady, but she could still think clearly enough to know what she was doing. She could see the full extent of the dragon’s size from outside, and was nearly taken aback by how huge he was, but she had grown up around enough dragons to not be unnerved by him. She turned back to the man, and remembered that she still needed his name. “What can I call you, good sir? I don’t believe I caught your name earlier.” She asked, busying herself with properly folding her good wing up under her thin jacket. The other still hung limply on the ground, but she couldn’t feel it through the alcohol. The wind had died down enough for her to stand without being blown off her feet, but staying on the ground was still a little bit of a struggle. The confetti everywhere wasn’t helping matters either.

He smiled at her, "Yes, it's still valid," He started walking with a slow pace and motioned for her to follow. When she did, he half turned, and looked at her with those bright golden eyes,"Silver, you can call me Silver," After a little thought he said with a smile, "I didn't quite catch yours either, ma'am".

But he didn't wait for an answer, he needed to get back home and fast, otherwise he'd be in a whole lot of trouble if he faced another demon while he's this drunk. Not running away would be stupid, he thought.

When they got there, the avian was face to face with a really pissed off dragon, growling hard to keep her away from his rider. "It's okay," Said Silver, "She's with me". After he managed to calm the raging dragon, he opened the door and went inside after her.

He offered her a chair by the fire place, and went to fetch some medical herbs and unused clothes to fix her wing. When he sensed her tense, "Relax, I'll make it as less painful as possible" He smiled assuringly, and went on to fix her broken wing.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane   Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Icon_minitimeFri Feb 25, 2011 12:00 am

Starling followed Silver in a drunken haze, and laughed as the dragon outside got angry with her. She came back to her senses a little when he started messing with her wing though. “Careful!” she yelped when he touched it – the broken bones and gory feathers jarring and stinging. “I mean, please just watch out. Wings hurt. I’m starling, by the way.” She spluttered, trying to fit all of her words into a few sentences. She held out the broken wing as straight as she could at the shoulder, so that Silver could see where the break was. It was not a pretty sight, and Starling had to turn her head away from it to stop herself gagging. The sight sobered her up fast, and the pain came back with it. She trembled a little as she bit her lip to stop herself crying out, and tried not to think about her wings at all. That lead her back to thoughts of the bracelet, and she filled her head with thoughts of what the inscription could mean.

"Of course, so , Starling... That's a pretty name" He tried to distract her while he was forcing the bones back to place. "Maybe you can help me with something, how's that?" He said after fixing her wing and brought the bracelet out of his pocket,"Have you ever seen this?" He lowered his hand so she would see what he was holding clearly.

It was a slivery bracelet with some words on the inside. Silver saw her eyes go from confused, to utter astonishment. He guessed it was hers, so he handed it over.

After showing her where she would stay, and bringing her some unused clothes, he went to his own room. He carefully took off the sword he was carrying on his back and dropped it accentually on the bed where it made a dull thud. He almost forgot how heavy that sword is. He removed his black light armor and put it neatly on a nearby chair along with the sword, he laid down, instantly falling asleep. Next morning he'd check where those little papers floating in the air come from, they were starting to annoy his -almost all of the time- angry dragon.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

Starling’s eyes lit up as Silver presented her with the bracelet. She chuckled to herself, passing it through her fingers and ignoring the pain in her wing. She looked at the inscription, but found it just as unintelligible as usual. As if she had expected anything else. She settled down in a chair so she cold keep her wing at the right angle while she slept, and huddled her good wing around herself in place of a blanket. She had always slept like that - even in Shayenne where she could have anything she wanted, and it really was hard to get out of old habits. After slipping her bracelet onto her wrist, she drifted into a light sleep, interuppted with bursts of pain and dark dreams.

((ooc;; Good work, just be careful about judging her reactions a little, please? It's not a problem now, just it could lead to powerplaying, which is not good :L Thankies ^^))

Jitt nodded, neck bumping on the edges of the window. He then tilted his head in reaction to her words about the bracelet.
Bracelet?... Never really seen that attraction in that sort of thing, but then who am I to judge... Not exactly the target market, after all. He smiled, then glanced at the man who had caught Starling's attention.
Huh, that your bracelet? he inquired, but the question was soon answered as Starling took the bracelet. He nodded to her as she left, then got distracted as another barrel of ale was carried over to him by the bartender. He quickly drained it and then withdrew his head from the window and leaping back into the wind, wings outstretched. It was quickly apparent that the winds were still worsening; he was carried around for a good time effortlessly, before he eventually tired of the swirling flight and angled himself away, drifing over the wall before using most of his strength to tuck his wings away and drop to the ground. He curled up in a tight coil to preserve his warmth, and had time to hope that he wouldn't get too confettied before he dropped into sleep.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

Starling awoke in the middle of the night – or the witching hour, as it was often know, and felt herself itching to be away from the man’s house. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but she had to leave. She got up, and winced as her wing twinged, before looking frantically for a way out. The alcohol had worn off, and although she was well used to staying with strangers in new cities, she felt that there was some sort of danger there. The shadows themselves even seemed to pose a threat to her. As she looked, she saw that the door had been locked for the night, and the only was out was the window at the side of the room. She tiptoed over to it, careful not to wake Silver, and flung it open. It was a good two stories to the ground, and the winds were up again, but she figured it was safer for her – even with only one wing – that for a human. She climbed onto the windowsill and leapt, throwing herself out into the swirling winds. The confetti surrounded her like a blanket, and she struggled to open her wing through the papery mass, but succeeded eventually. She spiralled down to the ground, following an eccentric path through the winds, to land on a deep pile of confetti. She found a bench nearby, and crawled underneath, nudging confetti out of the way to curl up under its heavy safety. When morning came, she would figure out her next move. She didn’t trust this paper storm, and wanted to get away.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

Being a shadowhunter was never easy, waking up on the slightest sounds proves it. He was awake for a while now, trying to get back to sleep, which isn't easy when the wind is howling. He sighed and went outside, and flinched as the morning sun hit his eyes dead on, while the little colored papers on the ground managed to get him to a more foul mood than before. He was never a morning person.

Deciding that his dragon has waited more than enough to fly, and he himself was wondering where those annoying little papers come from, he once again, went inside to get his dragon's saddle.

Whenever he walked, he notice that the shadows are constantly following him, and to his relief, if only a little, the can't do any harm in broad day light ... at least most of them anyways.

Being the storm loving dragon that he is, Ladon managed to fly over the eye of the storm easily, loving the feeling of the wind running under his strong wings. Just being this high above the ground with no confetti around was enough to make him roar with happiness. While Silver's mind was overflowing with thoughts.

The warm rays of morning hit starling and woke her gently from her slumber. As soon as she opened her eyes, she was hit by the fast winds, and the swirls of confetti. Her bench had been buried completely in the night, and she had to dig about with her hands to escape. Once she had managed to get out of the hollow underneath the bench, she sat down on it, holding onto the wooden seat to stop herself getting blown away. She was already sick of the wind and the ridiculous confetti, and she had only been there a day. She longed for her little flat in Shayenne, but there was no way of getting up that cliff before her wing was healed. She banished thoughts of home from her head, and tried to gather her thoughts. She had left Silver’s house because of a hunch that the shadows were following her – how stupid she could be in the depths of the night – and hidden under a bench because it seemed so much better. She groaned at her own stupidity, but part of her was almost aching in relief, and was telling her that the shadows weren’t as petty as she had first thought. She shrugged it off, and tried to decide where to go next. The tavern wouldn’t be open yet, but it might be soon. She considered setting off, but the winds were too high. Instead, she decided to wait for a lull in the confetti storm, before looking for lodgings that she trusted somewhat more.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

After a while of flyig, Silver & Ladon landed somewhere near the mountains. It was already nightfall, the shadows getting darker, the feeling of being watched & danger mixed with pure thrill washed over Silver, while Ladon retreated behind the mountains.

As it got darker, his senses was getting stronger by every passing second. Alarmed and aware of his every surrounding. The joy of feeling alive! He thought. His eyes sparkling in the dim moonlight with something murderous & shined even brighter when he felt his long awaited target getting closer.

Staying still for a while, carefully hidden behind he thick bushes, he noticed those small colorful papers drifting in the air once again. He thought it weird, considering that there was no wind, and he didn't see those when he was flying by.

Target in sight, he reached for his black sword & leapt from behind the bushes, unleashing an inhuman war cry.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

Starling struggled to the tavern at about midday. Her wing was almost unbearable, and the bandages were a deep red colour that made her stomach churn whenever she caught sight of them. She staggered through the wooden door and collapsed into the same bar stool as she had the day before. She gasped in ragged breaths for a few moments as the strains of running there began to show, and when her breathing had settled she wandered over to the bar. “Two tankards of your strongest.” She ordered, reaching into her pocket for another coin. Producing a silver, she laid it on the bar worktop, and waited. There were two of the dark drinks she had tasted the day before, and she threaded the fingers of her right hand through both handles, and held her left out to balance her as she walked back to the table. She finished the first drink in a few gulps, and began to sip the second as she looked at the engravings on her bracelet. There was dust in the cracks in the charm, which she would have to put right when she could go home, but the message was just as indecipherable. She stayed that was for an hour of so, just looking at it and sipping her drink – slowly slipping into the drunken haze of the previous night.

As darkness began to fall, she was jolted from her thoughts of what her life could have been when she heard what sounded like a war-cry. She leapt from her seat and hurried to the window. She could see mountains to one side, and a figure near them. They were too far away to see who it was, but she could hear the inhuman screams from the tavern. She watched in shocked silence as the figure darted about – a tiny speck on the green hillside.

Quest to stop the Confetti Hurricane Empty

After succesfully slaying his target, he sheathed his sword and headed for the tarven, he needed a drink, and needed it fast .

Ignoring the pain in his back and legs, he walked with long strides until he was hit by the lights of he town. He flinched and passed his hand over the wound on his temple, seeing his blood on his hands.

His eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked at the red blood on his pale skin. He pushed his irritation aside and sighed as he opened the tarven's door. Not noticing anyone as he walked inside. He sat on the same stool the night before and ordered the same drink he had.

Glaring at the bartender when he asked him if he was alright, and then at his drink when it was offered to him as if it offended him somehow. His head was flooding with thoughts of the previous fight, planning to see if they were of some use to him in the near future.

Seeing that he didn't feel any pain after the third drink, he paied and headed to the door. Some kind of animal look in his darkened golden eyes.
