[WIP]

Name: Veceri Rassan
Age: 33
Appearance: 5'10, white/light brown skin, ash dark brown hair, hazel eyes. Veceri does not have an especially well-defined, lean or plump body. As concerns go, his body is more of a tool for the flow of his magic.

Role(s) and skills: Veceri is a "co-mage" to Kaestrin, his main skills falling in dark and water magic, but there is not a single type of magic Veceri has heard of yet that would not pique his curiosity in some way. That said, he has a natural lack of affinity for light and toxic magics.
Within magic, his preference is in creating or modifying so-called arcanics and in ritualistic casting. This is in part thanks to his priest-associated training. Never one to learn rote, he is always searching for a way to do each spell and incantation with his own flair just for its own sake, and fear of consequences is rarely the number one factor in his thought process. He is aware that he plays with dangerous magics, tries to give them the respect they deserve, and then does what he (or Kaestrin) wishes to do, anyway.

Background: Born and raised in a village at the very southernmost point of Dragons' cove, Veceri comes from a family of humble rice farmers. It was never planned for him to be where he is today, in fact, much of the time Veceri takes life and his ideas in his stride without fear and always has.
His family had always expected, reasonably, that he would grow up to live and tend to their home and part of the fields. Yet, between dusk and the covering of stars, from a young age Veceri grew close to the night and tear dragons of the wetlands.

It is difficult to say if Veceri was born talented in his magical ability, if he was fortunate to become accustomed to the tune of dark magic by those dragons, or if his fascination alone pushed him beyond what anyone would have expected of him.
All the same, when the great dragon priest of the area came to visit in a once in a generation event, the "Speaker" as she was known, Veceri had eagerly sought her out. Her servants of the temple had come, specifically seeking people with promise that would return to their hideaway near the mountains of Shayenne, to become a dragon mage and inherit all the responsibilities that entailed. Despite the manifestation of his talents then, Veceri was too young to be accepted by them, and he was left with a burning desire to pursue the Speaker.

Veceri did not care for priesthood or affiliation to the patron dragons, but he did care for learning more than his village could provide him. He had learned that dark magic was not a toy, that it was looked upon with suspicion, but also that it was sometimes necessary. He realised that the more time he spent with those dragons, the more dark magic could feel like a familiar embrace, that for all its seemingly mysterious paths, it was not illogical, rather, it had its own language like no other magic did. It was impossible to fully understand.

When he turned nineteen Veceri finally departed his home with a promise to make a respectable name for himself as a dragon mage, for the sake of his family. In accompaniment with a patron, a spring dragon, he flew far to the priesthood retreat known as Didienne. His acceptance as a trainee dragon mage was immediate and his training for those five years mostly smooth.
Making the shapes and sounds of Dragon tongue flow to the page in ink was a new skill he had appreciated learning, but even then, it was evident with each flick of his brush that his method was inconsistent, or the flourish on the major symbols too extravagant, or the finish too abrupt.

Speech: Erratic patterns/lengths of speech, thinks on the fly -> speaks on the fly, Jumps to conclusions, prone to interrupting. Not especially picky with word choice, but obviously learned. Sometimes imprecise. Meandering logic. While not loud, can seem a bit of a handful when engaged. (Inquisitive, flighty)
