Snow, silence. The two things anyone that was sane of mind would notice about this desolate tundra. There were barely any tracks in the snow, as last night's snow had covered up any and all traces that a reindeer herd had passed by. The only thing making a mark on this landscape was an oddly-shaped hill portruding out of the ground. Or, at least, it looked like a hill. But you know what they say, things aren't always what they seemed to be.

The hill lurched slowly, the loose snow falling to the ground as an ice-blue dragon woke from one of his famous week long naps. He looked around groggily, checking the ground around him then looked straight up at the sun. It flinched from the light but kept staring until it found out where it was in the cycle. "Mid-day." He mumbled, shaking his body t loose some of the tighter packed snow caked to his mane. "Of next week." It lowered it's head, sulking. Frost had just slept through his usual hunting time.

Snow was not her favorite thing. Definitely not. The cold was slowly beginning to creep up her legs and spreading into the rest of her body and it made her uncomfortable. Her orange tail flicked from left to right and back in a nervous twitch as the chocolate brown horse dragon snorted into the snow. As she needed all four of her legs to steady herself, what with the front hooves slipping away underneath her at regular intervals and the reptilian hind legs providing the only real grip, she had stuck almost her complete head into the snow, trying desperately to find at least a tiny bit of grass to satisfy that little rumbling she felt in her tummy.

Cautiously, the female horse dragon moved forward, scanning the ground for something edible, although it seemed ridiculously pointless. As far as her eyes could see, there was only snow. Snow in a wasteland of snow. This is just great. Abraxas shook her head, sending the white powder that had settled on her face flying. She continued to edge west, hoping that at some point, sooner or later, she would discover colours again, and a little warmth would not hurt either. Soon her mane would freeze solid over her eyes and that would really piss her off..

"Huh?" What was that all the way over there? Something brown, and it was acting alot like the reindeer that migrated here. But what was it? He squinted, then it came to him: It was a dragon! A strange looking one, but a dragon none-the-less. "If you looking for grass, your too late!" If that was indeed what she, if she was a she, was looking for. He wasn't too sure, but the movements looked alot like what the reindeer did when they grazed. He shook himself again, trying to move his hair away from his eyes. "Any grass that was growing has been grazed by the herd!"

Abraxas jumped up, all four feet in the air as suddenly a voice slithered through the snow and reached her ears. Where had that come from?! She looked around frantically, trying to discover the source of the voice but everything was white, mountains of snow as far as the eye could see. Wait... mountain? Her eyes swooped back to a little elevation not too far from her, and indeed it was not a normal hill. The mount of snow was staring at her with the bored look only a sleeping dragon could have had, if this was in fact a dragon. "What?!" The horse dragon blinked but through the masses of snow could not distinguish much more as the brightness was beginning to blind her almost to tears.

When the creature started shaking itself, Abraxas could distinguish a little more colour but still, everything bright and white, with the variation of a bit of wintery blue, if that was actually what she was seeing. At the moment, she did not trust her eyes too much, she had been wandering in the snowy desert for a little too long to be sure. "What herd? What the hell are you talking about?" Abraxas was utterly confused and her face showed it perfectly. Herd of dragons? Of squirrels? Of sheep? Eh? "Who are you anyway?"
The horse dragon opted for the direct way, straightforward, into the heart of things. There was no better way. Or so she thought most of the time.

"Me?" He looked around. "Well, I'm me. I don't see who else I could be." He looked down and didn't speak for a while, thinking. Was that what she was asking? Or did she ask with hopes for a better answer? Then it dawned upon him. "Oh! Name. Frost." He lifted his left claw and started scribbling in the snow. "F-R-A- No, that's not right." He squinted at the letters, wiped them away, and began again. "F-R-O-S-T. I think that's right."

He replayed hat she had asked in his mind, checking for something he might have forgot. Oh yeah! She asked what herd! "Well, The reindeer herd. And well, to me it looked like you were lookign for grass, and I thought you might want to know that." He tilted his head slighty. "Why? Were you looking for something else?" He really didn't know what else there was to look for besides grass and snow here. Maybe yellow snow, but nobody in their right mind would look for that.

The horse dragon didn't quite know whether she should be upset or amused by the other dragon's attitude - which she was now sure her opposite was. The behaviour was just a little unnerving as if she was talking to a baby dragon that could not quite express itself yet, even though that might be a little too condescending a description. But hey, when had she ever cared about what she was thinking as long as she didn't say all of it out loud. Then, a little smile did curl around the corners of her lips, and she replied: "Nice to meet you Frost. I am Abraxas." With a puzzled look still splattered across her face, she watched the dragon attempt to spell his name out in the snow. It was not like she understood why he was doing it, but for once she was polite enough to keep her tongue in check.

"Who knows? There might be lots of things buried under this sea of snow besides grass. But I'm not about to go ahead and list them all for you." She had the slight idea that he would not be able to follow all of it anyway, if he had even been listening to what she had said just now. The dragon seemed awfully easily distracted and slow-minded. "But I guess you're right. If a reindeer herd has passed through here, they want have left nothing other than trails of poo." She shook her mane, a hint of anger rushing over her face.

Lifting her eyes towards the sun that was still relentlessly mirroring the whiteness of the snow on anything that was not made of the powdery mass. When she looked back at the dragon, the look in her eyes had softened a little again and she asked: "What are you doing here then? Buried under a mountain of snow with nothing surrounding and nothing to eat?" She began to move around a little, inspecting what else there was to explore around here other than desert.

"Abraxas..." Frost let the name sink in, looking down as he thought. Interesting name. He mused. Not something I would pick...but still. His thoughts drifted slightly from her name. Crux...now that's a good name. Strong and mysterious. He was glaring down at the snow now, the reflecting light having no obvious affect on him. Abraxas...I'm reminded of wind by that name... He was still looking down, but he smnapped back to reality by the word Poo. Nothing but a trail of poo...

He looked up at her, head still lowered in thought. "Uh..." He looked tothe side, his face scrunched in serious thought. "Uh...Reindeer." He turned to look at her in the eyes. "I was waiting for the reindeer." He lowered his head, snorting out a cloud of mist. "But I slept too long. I think the snow made it too warm for me." He scratched at the snow in front of him. "Great for the insulation of heat, even though it's cold." He mumbled to himself. He started scribbling in the snow, smiling. "Cold on the outside, warm on the inside, what am I?" He wasn't really asking Abraxas, Just saying the riddle out loud.

A deep frown showed on the horse dragon's face when she looked back at Frost, who was obviously completely lost in his own thoughts again, probably not even hearing a word of what she'd just said. Then again, it's not like it had been something overly interesting or worldshaking. A herd of reindeers wasn't all that exciting, even though it was better than nothing at all, like a plain of snow with nothing else in sight. It still bothered her that she had staggered into this region and was now stuck here without knowing where exactly to turn to.

She suddenly realised that she herself had been lost in thoughts without exactly paying attention to what Frost had been muttering. Probably had been talking more to himself than to her anyway, but then he looked her in the eyes and it made her realise that he did talk to her and seemed to be waiting for some kind of reaction. "You were waiting for a specific reindeer? Why'? Did you think you'd encounter one with a red glowing nose?!"

As Frost started playing with the snow in front of him, Abraxas observed his movements, not quite comprehending what he was trying to do. Her ears pricked up when he was mouthing words that did not make much sense to her. She did understand that snow could provide more protection than she might have ever imagined, but... Is that a riddle he is making up? The other dragon was unlike anyone she had ever encountered and it slightly intrigued her. "Let's hunt the herd! Let's see if there is actually such a thing as a reindeer with a red glowing nose!" The idea was getting her all excited, ears pricked up and she was beginning to stomp her feet impatiently in the snow. The thing with this red-nosed reindeer... she'd heard that expression sometime somewhere but never knew what it meant, never even heard of stories of such a beast. But curiosity always had been a weakness of hers, and that was not about to change any time soon.

Glowing red nose.... Where had he heard that before? And what would cause a reinder to have a red nose? Maybe it's a skin condition... But was he even looking for one with a nose like that? He knew he was waiting for reindeer, but it would be a sight too see. He scrawled another note in the snow. 'Search for red nose.' He though for a moment, then wiped away everything he had wrote. Probably won't find it again anyways. And if he never found it, it wouldn't need to be there, would it? It makes perfect sense.

He stood shakily, a little wobbly due to his long nap. He looked Abraxas straight in the eye, or at least would have if his hair wasn't in the way, and nodded. "I have no clue where you got any of this from, but I'm in." He shook, causing a ripple starting from his head and ending at his tail, making the crystal at the end jingle slightly, and took a surer pose when e was done. "I might get to see something I've never seen before." He looked around, made a few false starts, then sighed, flicking his tail a bit and ruffling his wings. "Uh, which way did they go again?"

Normally, Frost would follow tracks left by whatever he was looking for. However, seeing as it had recently snowed, all tracks have been covered up. Save Abraxas and her tracks, but he wasn't looking for her. Lacking any other ideas, he lowered his head to the ground, sniffed around a bit, then snorted out a puff of frost and snowflakes. "I forgot. Only dogs are good at that." He sat, starting to drift into thought. How could he find something without a trail?

Agited, Abraxas began stomping the snow, eager to get a move on when the winter dragon tried sniffing the snow - for whatever reason he was doing that and what the heck have dogs to do with this? "Come on then, let's get going." She started moving east, then stopped and looked around, turned to walk west a couple of steps, stopped again, only to walk back to Frost."Is there any chance you might remember where the herd went?" This could be a pointless and very long search if they had to wander around aimlessly, trying to hunt down a herd that might have gone into a completely different direction.

"Okay, this is pointless. Let's just go somewhere and see where it leads us." Without waiting for a reply, she started heading north, slowly moving through the snow, looking for clues that probably were nowhere to be found. Suddenly, she realised that Frost had kind of between the lines asked her a question which she'd never answered, so she looked back over her shoulder and shouted into his general direction: "I have no idea how I came to think about this, but I heard something about a reindeer with a red glowing nose a long time ago, but that's about it. Maybe it's just a myth? But should be fun to find out anyway." Seeing the winter dragon had not yet moved, she nudged him again: "Are you coming or not?" Shaking her mane to rid it of the snow, she began walking north again, hoping the winter dragon would follow her into this little adventure.

Frost watched Abraxas walk away, having to take a few moments that she wanted him to follow. He suddenly bound foreward until he was side-to-side with the horse dragon, then turned to look at her. "Well, a red nose would be interesting to see. Unless, of course, a red nose was normal." He thought for a while, then blurted out "Doesn't a human's nose turn red when they're cold?" He definently remembered seeing the human's noses around here being red. He definently must check that out next time he sees a human.

He started wandering a bit to the side, away from Abraxas, but snapped back when he thought of a question. "Why are you here again?" That was followed immediatly with a mental question: Have I already asked her that? He thought for a second, then mentally shrugged. Too late if I already have.

((No ability right now.))

"No no no, believe you me, a red nose is not normal. I've never encountered a reindeer with a red nose, or any other creature for that matter. Slightly reddish noses on humans are possible but that is something entirely different anyway.." Slightly cocking her head to the left, she was wondering what she was babbling about. Did Frost's ability to talk himself into something, and afterwards not remember what it had started out as, already rub off on her? "Anyway, human noses do turn red in the cold sometimes yes, though I believe the red you seem to refer to might be at the expense of an extrem alcohol consum as well." Again, Abraxas shook her head, forcing herself to concentrate on the task at hand.

Staring into the distance, she considered their possibilities yet again. Now, they could go in every direction, except the one she had come from, because obviously she would have encountered a herd of reindeer had they come that way. Disbelieving, she stared at Frost when he asked his question and seeing the look of concentration on his face, she wondered if he was asking himself whether he had already asked her that. Funny thing is.. I can't even remember myself whether he's asked me that or not.. In that case, it probably wouldn't matter whether she replied something different to what she had said before, if he had actually asked. "I'm seeking an adventure. I'm just on the road, exploring the island a bit. What about you then? What are you doing here?" She considered it polite to ask Frost the same thing in return, whether she had already asked or not. Why am I so confused? Then she marshed off, direction north, because to her that seemed to be a good idea.

So there was more ways to get a red nose than being cold? It didn't seem completely out there, so he could believe it. Frost nodded slowly. "Ah, I see...alcohol..." That was that barley juice, right? Or was it ripened fruit? Or maybe, He thought. it's both. "Maybe I'll ask next time I see one..." He mumbled slowly. Then again, when would he next see a human? And what if they didn't know? That would tear him apart.

He got over his new strife when Abraxas answered his question." Oh, travelling, I see..." This was a bit far though, right? He went over the distance in his head, barely noticing Abraxas had started to walk. He hurried to catch up to her and started talking. "Uh, I'm here because..." He racked his head for the answer, then it burst out suddenly. "I'm migrating!" He went silent for a while, pleased, then went on. "It was really cold where I was, so I came here, where it's warmer!"

The horse dragon didn't even pay attention anymore once Frost started mumbling again. She was pretty sure he was not talking to her anyway, as so many times before and they would only get huddled up in a weird conversation nobody quite knew what it was about or how it even came about. Purposefully, she kept walking, fixed on the idea to find this mysterious reindeer with the red nose. Maybe the herd is not that far ahead and we can catch up to them quickly. She did not wait for the blue dragon and sure enough, Frost soon picked up his feet to follow her and started talking in a louder voice, suggesting that he was talking to Abraxas, who now tried to listen to what he was saying.

Only to stop dead in her tracks. Migrating?! Slowly, she turned around to face Frost. "Too cold?!? Are you nuts?!!" She shook her head, outraged. "How can you migrate to this place when your place was too cold?! It feels like walking around inside a friggin glacier. And don't..." Her rant was abruptly cut short as she froze mid-sentence, feeling a slight trembling in the earth, which suddenly stopped again as if it had never happened. The horse dragons eyes grew bigger and rounder as she started at Frost. "Did you just feel that? What was that?!"

"Was...that?" He stared at the snowy ground (quite easy considering he was already looking down) and pawed at the snow. The...tremors...are bad... But he forgot why they were. Surley he would remember if they were really bad though, so they should be fine. But just in case.... He lifted his head to stare at the sun, stopped walking, and strengthened his pose. To some, this might look like he was thinking. To others, he might have looked like he was hiding the urge to pee. But he wasn't. He was using his wierd ability. His eyes suddenly flared with life, and images flew around in his head: Hooves, antlers, and something blue. He swung his head, facing west.

"Uh...we might want to move. Now." He started wandering south without a word explaining why. He had completely forgotten that someone might wonder what you're talking about.

The snow had stopped falling an hour or so again, the chill winds bringing it settling down to a light frigid breeze. Deep in a cave nestled high in the mountains was a dragon on the verge of waking, his dreams coming to an end and eyelids flickering open, taking in the darkness of the cave further made darker by the fact that his head was curled underneath his heavy tail in sleep. Slowly, the dragon uncurled himself, wings flaring and back arching, clawed forepaws reaching out in a massive stretch, accompanied by a loud growling yawn that rumbled out from his chest.

Stretching done, he paced to the mouth of the cave up the slight incline and squeezed through the narrow bottle necked entrance. For most dragons, it would be nothing to simply duck under the low overhang, but Cleto was of such a massive stature, that he was forced to crawl out. At least it kept the wind and snow from flowing into the cave and making his slumber just that much less enjoyable. The cliff face that he stood on now was exposed to the wind and weather, and he found himself facing the breeze and standing in a few feet of snow. Allowing himself one more massive stretch, he shook himself, and examined the valley that he was overlooking.

The whole entrance to the massive valley seemed to be dotted with small brown animals, and the ice dragon immediately began picking his way down the side of the mountain, eager to get down there. He had been waiting for weeks for the reindeer herd to pass by, and it looked like all of his waiting was about to finally pay off. At the bottom of the mountain, he found a suitably sized rock that could hide his massive frame, crouched low and eyes intent on the herd, waiting for an unfortunate few to get too close.

His chance came soon enough, and he gathered his strength before leaping suddenly from his hiding place, startling the reindeer closest to him into a flurry of panic, kicking up snow as they bounded away. Cleto landed hard, the reindeer he had been aiming for missing being brought down by his sharp claws by inches, and ducked just in time to miss his snapping jaws. Roaring, he sprang into action again, chasing after the fleeing herd with a fury driven by a very hungry dragon. They poured out of the valley like a river, crying in fear and causing the very earth to tremble as their sheer numbers pounded through the valley entrance and into the open space beyond.

Cleto let out another one of his deafening roars, spurring the healthiest of the group on even faster, but the old or wounded could pour on no such extra speed. The huge ice dragon was not fast, but he had enough endurance to outlast the weak links in the heard. Ahead, through the bobbing antlers and waves of flying snow, he spotted something in the distance; a peculiar lump of moving snow and a flash of orange. What could that be?

Head held high, the horse dragon tried to make out what the oncoming sounds were. At first, she did not notice the winter dragon shifting positions and seemingly for once not stare down at his feet, but as he finally spoke, his words came through, though she did not quite understand what he meant. The claws on her hindlegs were digging into the snow, trying to find a decent grip as her whole body began to tense up in anticipation of what was about to come. The trembling of the earth grew stronger with every passing second and not far ahead a cloud seemed to be forming and hurrying towards them with incredible speed. "What do you..." The words remained stuck in her throat as suddenly it dawned on her what the heck was moving towards her as suddenly a few antlers became visible inside the tornado of stirred-up snow.

Frost and her would only have moments to move out of the way or be crushed by the onrushing herd of reindeer. Their enormous number gave an impressive sight but it was certainly not a good thing to be standing in their way. Though Abraxas was unable to determine the cause of their sudden panic, because it was obviously not a coordinated race. Reindeer were running everywhere and into every possible direction in an attempt to flee from something behind them. Stumbling one over the other the weaker ones were slowly becoming distinguishable as the others run full on to escape whatever had scared them.

As they were coming yet even closer, Abraxas finally reacted to the winter dragon's words and immediately picked up her feet and began running back to where they'd come from. "Come on, Frost!" She was hoping that he would be able to use his wings and fly out of the way so that at least one of them was going to be safe for sure. If worse came to worst, she had her means.. She knew that running in front of them was not the brightest thing to be doing, but the herd was too large to be able to cross out of their way without running in front them at least for a bit in order to try and gain some ground. Too many precious seconds had been lost already, frozen by the sheer astonishment of seeing a herd of reindeer appear in front of them seemingly out of thin air.

Running with everything she had to give, by now ignoring whether Frost was following suit or had picked up his wings and flown out of harm's way, Abraxas was running like the wind, turning into a half circle, which took what seemed like days but were in fact only a few seconds. After a few leaps, she knew she would make it, the only fear remaining was that she was going to slip on the snow with her hooves, fall and be trampled to death by the herd. This thought gave her a new burst of speed and she now turned right completely to be out of their way once and for all.

Frost's eyes widened greatly, moving faster as he saw the rampaging reindeer coming at them head on. But, right before his wings unfurled into their first initial flap that would carry him up to a safe distance, he saw something so interesting he just had to smile, despite the danger: A flash of red. Was that was he thought it was, or was it just a trick of the eye? It didn't mater, because in a matter of seconds he was well above the creatures, wings beating slowly as the red quickly dissapeared among the deadly mass of hooves, muscle, and antlers. Though he was extremely tempted to swoop down on the creatures and pluck one to make up for missing his chance at a meal earlier, he quickly scanned the rim of the stampede, searching for Abraxas. Eyes darting frantically, he finally sptted her off in the distance, moving fast enough to easily outrun the beasts.

Knowing his new friend was safe, he turned to the matter at hand: The stampede. What should he do? Eat while he could and let it continue, or stop it to prevent any harm to anyone? Though it was not clear from his current position, in the distance he knew there was a small tribe of fur-wearing humans, in the way of the thicker part of the stampede. Should this be left unchecked, the reindeer could trample the humans there. He flapped his great wings, taking no notice of the other icey dragon nearby, and sped foreward, started to let loose a large cloud of misty breath, loaded with a lethal poison that substituted for his lack of fire. Below him, the reindeer started to drop, showing extreme cases of frostbite. The creatures that were behind these trampled them, but were moving noticably slower compared to the unimpared ones.

Cleto snapped at the heels of the fleeing reindeer, and was so far unsuccessful. Something above caught his attention, and he looked up to follow the movement. Another dragon had been that peculiar lump he'd seen earlier then? He tracked the path of the orange thing with his eyes, and realized that it too was a dragon, stumbling to get away from the fleeing herd. He next became aware of the flying dragon spilling its frost breath onto the fleeing herd, and cursed, lashing out with all his might to bring down two unfortunate reindeer that had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Frostbitten meals weren't nearly as tasty as the fresh kind.

The huge ice dragon came to a stop in a flurry of blood and snow, massive jaws clamping down on one of the beasts he'd managed to bring down when it tried to escape. The other had received the majority of the blow, and had been killed instantly. Once he was sure that neither of his kills were going to be running away, he looked up to the flying dragon, his short temper beginning to flare. "You've got a lot of nerve freezing all of them! You plan on eating all those?!" He called up, his deep voice rumbling across the open ground and carrying high into the sky with ease. Very little angered Cleto more than wasted food, and because he was so large as dragons went, he was always conscious of how much that he had to eat. Seeing all the frostbitten and downed reindeer... it made him lament a little inside.

Heading back towards where she had started her race against the herd of reindeer, she was happy she was out of harms way. Only instants later, she stopped dead in her tracks, mouth gaping wide open when she saw Frost circling over the herd and spraying, what she could only assume, to be some kind of mist. One by one the reindeer went down, whether dead or still alive, Abraxas could not tell, but there were not many that were remaining standing, or rather running away for dear life. Slowly, the horse dragon got into motion again, trying not to slip on the now trampled snow and made her way towards the winter dragon.

Before she even got there, another huge dragon came into view and he did not appear to be too friendly. Blood was dripping from the claws and from what Abraxas could gather from a little distance away, the look on his face was quite fierce. The horse dragon quickly picked up her pace and galloped over to the two dragons, curious to see what was happening. Hearing the last words, Abraxas felt a shudder run down her spine. A powerful voice that was indeed, not very well-disposed at the moment though, it seemed. "What is going on here? What happened to all the reindeer?" Looking from one to the other, she wondered if the ice dragon would make a big deal out of this incident. However, she didn't get much further in considering this as her eye caught the glint of something red... Is that... Forgetting about the immediate issue, the horse dragon began craning her neck towards the direction she had spotted the dot of colour to get a better look.

Frost looked down at the other dragon, looking very guilty. Tenativly, he hovered lower, finally touching down and bowing his head so far that his hair nearly brushed the trampled snow. "B-but..." He started, sounding very much like a child. "They were, going that way." Slowly, he turned his head in the direction of the village. "I guess I got carried away." He regarded the piles of reindeer, wondering what he could do with them. Perhaps he could carry them to the village? They could use the food, and the other ice-y dragon was right, there was no way he could eat it all. He pawed at the ground, casting a glance at the new dragon for a moment then turning away. "Sorry." He mumbled, then started winding through the group of reindeer, looking to see if the red was there.

Cleto watched as the other wintery-type dragon descended, making no effort at all to conceal his displeasure. Only just a few more feet, and his two very delicious kills would have suffered the same frozen fate as their kin. Whats more, most of the herd that he could have picked off as the weeks went by in this frozen wasteland were now scattered across the icy plains and now dramatically fewer in number. The huge ice dragon was not a happy camper at the moment. He looked up at the second dragon, the reddish orange one that he'd seen earlier and noted it approaching once more, slipping and sliding over the now icy snow that had been compacted by the stampede he'd created. "What an unfortunate set of legs to have here..." He mused to himself, realizing with some interest that the dragon (for it could not possibly be something else in his mind) appeared to have the hooves of a horse on its front end. "This fool," Cleto called out, gesturing toward the landing winter dragon as he settled down over his deer, "...killed them all with his frost breath. Bloody waste is what this is." He grumbled a tad regretfully, dipping his head down and tearing mercilessly into the corpse nestled between his claws, bones snapping under the pressure of his jaws. Over the gruesome melody of snapping and crunching bones, he heard the other icy dragon's very weak apology, or at least, very weak in Cleto's opinion.

"Carried away?" The ice dragon asked, swallowing a leg that he had just finished devastating and looking up at the other two. "You call decimating a whole herd of perfectly good deer 'getting carried away'?" He glared in the direction toward where the winter dragon had gestured, and realized vaguely that there was some sort of settlement. "The humans dwelling there probably would have been fine. They're smart enough to avoid being trampled."

The horse dragon sighed. Why did she always end up in these kinds of situations? None of this was her business or even of much interest to her but somehow it seemed like she was going to be the one having to settle this. It's not like she didn't like meddling in things once in a while, but there was a limit to how far she wanted to get involved in others' business. Abraxas tore her gaze away from the tiny red dot, now that Frost was on his way there, as she would then soon enough find out whether it was indeed the red-nosed reindeer or not. Shaking her head, she looked at the huge ice dragon. "Is that really a reason to bite his head off? He was acting on impulse and tried to do a good deed. Granted, it might not have worked out all that well but hey, nobody's perfect, aye?" Internally, she was already preparing for the rant that would come down on her after suggesting that he might have been too harsh, which was never a good idea to tell someone when they're in a bad mood, whether it was a huge dragon or a tiny mouse. Same difference. They all end up being pissed off at the one daring to open their mouth, which in this case was the horse dragon, yet again, like so many other times before already.

Turning her head towards the general direction of the human settlement and seeing some kind of light flicker, it raised the question - at least in her head - if the humans had noticed anything of the ongoings? If they did..... "Ahm, is it possible the humans could come crashing down on us in a couple of minutes?" So far, Abraxas wasn't very alarmed about this thought, seeing that it might not be that bad a thing, because then - should they really come - this little drama would be solved and they would forget about all the deer when picking up their feet to get away from the humans... Surely, they were not going to stay here and wait for them to come?!

Frost tried bunching up closer to hisself and wrapped his tail around his waist, very visibly uncomfortable. This was a dragon he wouldn't mind not seeing again. Not nice, not nice at all. He stopped and pawed at one of the frostbitten reindeer, then slooked up to stare at the village. Hopfully they would be a bit nicer about it. Food was scarce enough as it is out here though, and he might have just greatly unbalanced the ecosystem. But was it really something to yell about?

Back in reality, Frost hemmed and hawed for a while after he noticed that Abraxas was asking something. Closing his eyes, he shook his head a little reluctantly. "Not very likely." He began. "But they might, if they feel threatened." Then it dawned on him. He had crossed by the village often enough, ven popped in to chat for a while, but they might not be so forgiving with two faces, if the others were indeed new faces to the villagers. "Actually..." He started, then trailed off as he looked down at the reindeer he was pawing at. Was that a speck of red? No, wait, just a trickle of blood, false alarm

The huge ice dragon regarded the much smaller horse dragon with a passive face, letting the small being rant on him for a while. She was bigger than the reindeer he held between his claws, but not by much from his point of view, and yet she was still standing up to him. A great belly laugh welled up from the huge dragon, some of that same deadly freezing breath escaping his maw and freezing the blood still stuck to his chops before his body heat warmed the sticky stuff back up. When he had a hold of himself once more, he looked at the horse dragon with a measure of appreciation that was not often earned from Cleto. "You've got guts, I like that. Especially for a dragon so small! I'll lay off the bloke, but only because you've impressed me, little horse." He laughed to himself once more, snapping off the antlers of the half-eaten reindeer carcass before grabbing the remaining bits with his mouth and swallowing it whole. He was in a better mood now that he'd had some entertainment and food in his belly, but he was still a little ticked at the loss of such a good food source.

He was getting down to the business of devouring the second corpse when the topic of humans was brought up. Glancing up once in the direction of the human village, he harrumphed into his meal, apparently unconcerned. "Humans are not so scary when they're running for their lives." Mind, he wasn't in the habit of actually trying to kill humans, he just found a measure of amusement from chasing them about when they got head strong and decided to try and attack. That was always fun... chasing off a group of big scary hunters and slayers after they'd gone to all the trouble of trying to track him down for sport. And as an added bonus, their weapons doubled as good toothpicks. Gulping down the last of his kill, Cleto licked the blood from his mouth where he could reach, rubbing his face in some snow to get off the rest he couldn't, and then gave a mighty stretch, shaking himself once of the stiffness that came when sitting after an adrenalin filled run. "I wouldn't worry too much about those fur wearing tribesmen. And what is it that you're looking for?" He asked, watching the winter dragon pace around the frozen reindeer, picking through them carefully and examining anything that caught his interest.
