"Prbably not I was washed up here after a ship wreck. I doubt I would ever see them again. Hopefully they all lived on without me." Cato thinks of the wife and child he left behind. Sighing he looks over to the woods. "My family is nothing to be compaired to I'm the son of a general as he was to his father." He didn;t want to talk about it but he couldn't stop the words from falling from his mouth. It had been a long time since he talked to someone about his past.

"My mother was a priestess to Aphrodite my father went to pay homage tot he goddes on he name day and saw moth mother and fell in love with her. Everytime he visited the village he went to see her. I had a younger brother but he had died." Cato looks at his hands, he hadn't been able to see his brother before he was sent back to the gods. Sighin Cato looks up to the road and sees someone standing in the middle of the road. Cato's brows come together in concern. He scans the forest that flanks it. "This may be a trap."

Cato rides infront of Celestial as they draw closer. "Road tax pay up." Cato stops the horse and looks at the man. "No I will not pay anyone on the kings road except for the kings men and you don't look like one so move." The man gives a crooked smile as his four other comrades step out of the woods. They circle the pair. "Then I guess you both will paywith your lives." The five attack. Three going for Cato and two to Celestial. Cato draws a sword from the saddle holster as Argento rears up adnkicks the air.

Celestial rolled her eyes she stood on top of Skulls back balanced perceftly an kicked the one guy in the face braking his nose . she flipped over the other guys head when he made a grab for her she flipped out her blade as she flipped landed on her feet and slit his troat from behind. she slid under Skulls and kicked the other guy in the nuts as he strightened. she got up and pulled him to his feet.
"you know it isn't proper manners to attack a girl." she knocked him out and grabbed the shoulder of another guy dogging his fist when he threw it at her head. she thrust the blade up going right under his chinand threw his mouth to his brain. she let go of the blade as he dropped and steped back. once he was on the ground she pulled it out and whipped it on his clothing.

Cato sees Celestial take care of one of the ones attacking him he nods. Thrusting his blade into the chest of one as Argento kicks the other one int he face. Both go down in a heep. Returing to the ground Cato slides off and start rummaging through their pockets for whatever they carried and to see if they worked for anyone. cato had made many an enemy since he washed up here. "Thankfully they where a bunch of robbers and where not commanded by anyone." Giving Celestial half of the gold he found he put the restin his pouch. "Let's keep going let the snaimals feed on them."

Celestial waved her hand and thier bodies went up in flames. she got back on Skulls and let him fallow Cato.
"well at least you had a family." Celestial said as an after tought now tht the fight was over.

"What happened to yous? If you want to tell me." He figured since she kept on asking the questions he should get a few in to know her better. Cato takes out a oiled rag and cleans the blade of the sword letting hte reins hang lossely on Argento's neck. He uses his legs to keep the horse on track.He offers it to Celestial for her blades if she wants them. He knew many a soldier who died cause their blades where not cleaned.

Celestial took it an quickly whipped her baleds down.
"they died, my father was a General in the millatary, army what erv you want to call it, diffrent time then this one. he waskilled on his way home or so the letter said my mother comited suicide or so the police report says, i came home and no one was there so i left i knew they were not comeing back i wasn't a loved child i lived on the streets the police found me a few days later put me in foster care...it is another home some one takes you in. i ran away from there later they never reported me as missing i met up with Ember anotherrunaway and we watched eachother's backs then we met Cresent and we became friends Cresent's dad gave me and Ember a place to sleep." Celestial spoke her eyes on her hands that where stroking Skull's neck.

"You have lived a hard life it seems Celestial. You would have done well in my time." Cato tucks the cloth back in the bag. He grabs his wine skin and takes a swig of it. He didn't know if he should offer it to Celestial or not. "I would offer my skin but I don't think you would like it."

"yeah Ember said that before and i drank more then her and quicker, i am fine though." Celestial sat on skull not really paying attention to where they where going any longer she ended up faling alseep sitting up on Skull at some point she woke up and looked around.

"Yeah yeah that is waht they all say. Thankfully Skulls knows how to keep you balanced on his back." Cato halts Argento ont he crest of a hill below the setting sun shows a city spralled out in the valley below. "Well here we are. You can spend the night at my place then I will show you to the smiths tomorrow. Unless you want to stay at an inn." Cato looks at her.

tis true any one else would have fallen off i can't keep people balanced to same my life this girl could walk on a pice of rope and not fall. Skulls stated to Cato.

"I see. Well first I have to get you through the gate." Cato rumages through a bag next to his bed roll. "Ah!" He tosses Celestial one of his shirts and a cloak. "Put the shirt on and use the cloak to cover you legs. You will have to follow my lead just in case we are stoped, ok?" Closing the bag he grabs a badge from his bag and fixes it to his shirt.

Cato urges the horse on and they ride the rest of the way to the city. The guards halt them breifly to ask Cato some questions. After a few moments they waved them on. "Just down this street and then we can rest." Cato leads them down the street lined with large gated houses. Stoping at a black wrot iron gate he rings a bell. A young page boy runs out and opens the gate. Cato rides in as the boy closes it. To the right of the gate was the stables only one other horse stood there. It calles out to them. Cato slides off Argento ad gives the boy the reins he knew the boy would do his job. Cato goes over to Sipio and give the white stallion a apple before unloading his weapons and bags off the saddle. He looks over to Celestial. "Ready?"

"yeah" Celestial slidd off of Skull and he turned into a black dog and fallowed after her.

"you know what bite me Skull. she dogged when he went to to that and laugherd when he ran into the back of Cato's legs kjnocking him over.

Cato lays on the ground and rubs his temples wondering if it was a good idea to let the two into his home. With a sigh he begins to collect all his weapons back up putting many in their sheaths on his hips. He hooks the quiver to his back and put the bow in the holster there. Now only carrying the saddle bags over his shoulder he carries the bed roll and the other bag that had his cloths in it. "Just keep the horse play to a minimum I's rather not have things get broken." He looks at Skull. With that he walks threw the now open from door. A young man stands on the other side holding it open. Cato nods in thanks and then pauses remembering he wasn't alone. "Find her a room?" The young man nods.

Celestial dropped the hood and smiled sweetly at the guy who had to be around her age. Skulls turned into a monkey and jumped up onto Celestial's shoulder she pet his fuzzy black head.

Cato walks up a white marble grand staircase.The young man at the door quickly closes it and follows Cato up. The young man whispers something to him and Cato shakes his head. "No she is fine. Just get her a room." Cato looks at the man who rushes up the stair then to Celestial. "He will be a few moments I am ure he will put you in one of the rooms that shares the hallway with mine. At the tops of the stairs he turns left and walks past a den and then a large book stuffed library. Cato walks through the next door and dumps his gear off in a corner. His room was modestly furnished with bits of trophies from the dragons he has killed since he became a slayer. "YOu can sit if you want till he comes back."

Celestial wrinkled her nose in disgust at the items in the room.
"i'll be fine in the hall." she turned and walked back to the top of the steps and sat down. she slipped her book bag off and grabbed her ipod and shoved the ear buds in and hit play she bobbed her head to the beatand started to sing. she was one of the singers in the bad she wa in back at in her time. she sunge her voice haunting and classical, she paused when Ember would have added in. Ember had the perfect rocker voice just as Celestial had the perfect voice for classic music that is why the two had one of the most unique bands.

Cato hearing some on sings steps out intot he hallway and sees Celestial sitting onthe stairs bobing her head and sinigng. She had some weird white vine things coming out of her ears.He walks over and with his hands clasped behins his back he clears his throat as he looks out on the foyer. He looks down at her and does it again. Again she doesn't notice him there so she pokes him with the tip of his boot.

"hello." she pet skulls who was sitting in her lap now in the form of a black lab.
