Terrific sight, so illustrious it's form. Vivid greenproudly capping the purple and warm greys of the slight cliffs it stood atop, that smoothed into lush green folds down to the gushing clear river. A paradise it seemed, that small part of the world...Idyllic before his hard discerning eyes.

His mouth creased to a slight smile, almost completely invisible to the eye, as the man...Namely Zartear, lifted a sword from the ground.
Sword could be an understatement, it was monstrous, and it reaked of death...it seemed that it had been crafted from a darker place, it's engravings glinting in the sunlight like war medals on display.
The ivory hilt with a "Z" Carved firmly in it...
It was about three quarters of Zartear's self, and the blade's width was about that of a handwith the fingers spread apart.
The ebony was smooth like it were polished a thousand times, held by two hands, over the shoulder, hard to disguise.

The armour plates were in place as was everything else, he had waited long enough. Emerging from the shades of the bushes unable to hide himself, a black ink serpent slithering forward to the "island"
When he was in the forest, it would be a different story.

Zartear was intent, calm, but at the same time wild with energy.
Woe to the dragon
that met him.

Or even as would be the case, dragon...s

As of then, Zartear detected no dragons...despite the fact there were two dragons racing through the forest black and white defying forest camouflage...

Trudging onward, this hulking mound set before him appeared more and more steep, harder to access...even a little daunting.
Not at all put off though, with the prospect of a satisfying day's work as a slayer...Zartear pressed forward, the sounds of the river playing in his ears like a symphony, a calm blissful one.

Like the trickling of water, life surrounding this island carved out, the whole land spread out like a tablecloth.

Zartear soon became close to the river, looking down, it was too deep to cross just anywhere, seeing his distorted face in the ripples.
A place like this bursting with life, would be hard to believe nothing lived here. Hopefulness filed his heart, as he began to trace back down the river.
Sword over his shoulder, his footprints imprinting on the wet soil...searching with his sharp eyes.
There it was, the way in-and out it seemed-
Of what would be the event on the day.

Zartear's eyeline followed up the river to about fifty metres ahead, with a more spritely step he made his way toward a crossing, slimy wet stones glistening in the sun...te river calmly slipping round them...
After he crossed the stones he would then face an awkward climb, just a little short of fully vertical.
Nothing he wasn't used to, as one would expect.
As he surefootedly leapt from stone to stone, even with the immense weight of slayer armour and the hulking sword, he did so as agile as a cat.
A thoughtful cat.
In it's hunting mode.
As he landed on the soggy dirt on the other bank, Zartear took a moment to peer into his surroundings every handhold he grasped firmly, legs scrabbling up deftly behind...
Advancing upward to an overhang of green, like an ant clasped onto the side of the island...Clinging on and approaching.
Approaching the dragons he did not know of, but had already sensed him.
A strange situation, suually Zartear had already his spear flying through the trees, before the animal of his attention even knew he was there.
Today, not quite the case.
Not at all.

Zartear ascended gradually, rock after rock chalking up his hands from the rubble and dust, almost there, jsut a few more full leg lengths...
And finally, he was up...Zartear srambled up over the edge, now onto the forest ground level, on his stomach looking ahead from the lowly position...
Wasting no time he set about "merging" himself with the forest, hiding in the bush truly becoming into his sleek silent....killer, mode.
Zartear could now, vaguely feel the dragons...It wasn't as much a specific sight, sound or smell.
More just a gut feeling.
Something had to be there, then a few vibrations shook through him, they were not too pronounced but enough to tell him a worthy sized beast was there for the taking.

What he did not realize, this came in the form of two beasts for the taking. Not quite so simle either.

Zartear scanned around him warily, then taking a backwards glance down the dizzying slopes...what if he was fighting he and he lost his footing?
Yes he set forward moving nearer the center, where it was easier to dominate.

Zartear raised his brows for a moment, quite surprised, two dragons...how...unexpected.
Maybe today was not the time for a full on battle...but maybe it was?
He looked up, only the tiniest motion of a white ball on a black tail flicking could he see.
Accompanied by a black ball on a white tail, from what he knew those tails belonged to some rather well-developed dragons.
It could go as a huge under-estimation to try and take on two at once in an awkward terrain.
Zartear might have to play a little....smoother, just for today.
So laying his sword to rest, covering it lightly with crispy brown dead leaves, Zartear slinked further into the forest, directly approaching what he sensed were anxious dragon.
His face was warm, inviting even.
Positive action in his way, no weapon in his hand.
Just armour, of course. Zartear was now not trying to hide anything. He'd done this before, as much as he hated it, and how unthrilling it was to speak and communicate with a dragon it might work.

Zartear pushed away the leave clouding his vision, with a few more pulls and a daring glance, there in all their glory, crystal clear to his eyes were the dragons...Black and white perfectly complimenting eachover, a complete prize to a slayer such as himself.
Right now he had to supress his instincts and thoughts to reach for a weapon and mercilessly attack the dragons...
For he could not take on two, both of which looked particularly strong.
So as much as he loathed it was time to communicate on their level--- how degrading he thought.

"Hello fine dwellers of this isle..." He began, bowing courteously...
"Iam a traveller from the far south east, but I require some assistance..." He trailed off awaiting a response.

To a normal dragon rider this kind of polite speak was normal but for Zartear it disgusted him.

Zartear was almost lost for words, but turned on the moment with a knowing smile, blocking his thoughts best he could.
"Oh degrading, yes I forget you are partially telepathic, yes degrading that I of all the wise travellers should become lost, forgive me for my thoughts astray." He responded with a smooth tone his hand placed on his chest.
"But that aside, dragons, would you be willing to assist me? You see as I stated Iam lost..." His voice was so silky smooth, like a woven tapestry designed to look beautiful and hide the real intent.
"Might one of you aid me, travel by me...Iam sure Iam close but Iam not sure how and the proceeding journey, well my weary legs can take more and Iam stranded. Do you understand?" He looked to them with those blue eyes, charming their way into the hearts of them.

"Oh!" Zartear exclaimed a fake joy illuminating his expression.
"I cannot thankyou enough, both of you, more the merrier!" He said the creases of his mile worn like a mask, it payed to be two-faced.
So he set off back the way he came, signalling the dragons to follow, back to the crossing.
"I know how to get off this island, but beyond there Iam very hopelessly...lost. But you," He turned back to Ying.
"You seem like a very strong wise dragon, I should be fine with you." He said patting him on the side seemingly admiring the dragons features and scales like he were a living a god.
Zartear may in reality be a sociopath, and that's what made him such a fine actor.
Manipulative and deceptive, perfect.

Zartear nodded too, great that he had separated them off he then bid yang goodbye with a motion of the hand and set on back the way he had came, where his sword lay completely invisble and palced purposely out of the way that feet may stumble.
"I really appreciate this, dragon, but how am I to get off this island, I am weak I can feel it seeping through me."
He faltered to the floor hands and knees down, attempting to get up and hobbling along...
Before finally halting against a tree.
"Dragon, I cannot walk back over the mighty river, all I require is a small flight in the right direction."
He looked at the dragon begging like a puppy for sympathy....

Zartear nodded, almost genuinely...or was that genuinely pleased that this dragons "over-kind" nature was going to lead him to a death trap?
Probably that, but after that close call with the thoughts he had to not think as such of his goal. Hard, actually.
"Well," He began, taking a breather. "Thank Black Lord's Sword you are a kind dragon."
On the words of the Black Lord sword, where the weapon supposedly lay idle...It seemed to liquify and form a pool on the ground, which rapidly began to slide through the forest...It made contact from behind Zartear with his boot, slithered up and virtually through his body, before resting inside the overlapping chestplates. Waiting on his command for the appropriate time to emerge as his weapon.
"We best be going, I wouldn't want to be a burden..." He added smoothly climbing onto the dragon.
Avoiding the harsh slayer's stance of keeping a tight and threatening contact with the dragon.
This will go fine...

Hmmm where indeed, where was best to get this dragon under his power....
"Well, the island after this, if you please..."
Yes, he needed more time to get his weapon ready and make sure they were as far from the female dragon as possible without being inconveniently far.
Zartear never knew holding back thoughts was this hard, but he was coping, when it came to it though like it or not he would have to have "thoughts"
Left, right, dodge, strike....Wait....Wait...Read the body language, anticipate the move...And final blow!

Zartear held fast on the dragon as the wind rippled through him, it was unusually hot today and he was certainly feeling it. A small prickle of eagerness surged through him, the liquid metal currently hidden pulsing like it were alive...Alive with the moment. It wouldn't be long now, and Zartear looked and he saw the astonishingly pristine wings.

If he couldn't kill it, some webs would do just fine from this beast.

This was the moment, and now the thoughts exploding out of control, he seized it.
Zartear thrust out his right arm, the liquid seemed to rush up it, like blood through his arteries reforming into a set of atrocious chains linked together in the middle by a solid bar of the black metal.
He then sharply put the chains forth, hoping to ensnare the dragon by the neck.
After that, he would most likely pull the dragon onto his back where it would be much easier to manipulate to his liking.

Zartear wasn't sure he was going to kill it yet, but his eyes glanced with a hunger for the possession of the webs of Ying's wings.
