Appearance:
Freki is rather small for a man, not the most trained though he was pretty conditioned in working non-stop in the garden for a few hours. His hair is rather long, covering his shoulders and it was usually held together by an indigo blue bland. Characteristically, some strains were always hanging in his face and he was hiding his eyes behind them. The lack of colour in his hair resulted from a weird pigmentation problem in his body, which he had never fully understood, though he had come to accept the fact that he was different from others. It had never been much of a problem, although people were usually a little thrown by his glance when they first met him. He had dark amber eyes, lightly tanned skin and a short thin scar, running from almost the end of his right eyebrow towards his hair line.

Usually, he was dressed in comfortable, loose clothes that allowed him to be flexible with his movements, which was needed for his job. Tight pants would hinder him when working in the garden and it would certainly not be comfortable either if you had to fear your pants were going to rip as soon as you bent down to plant something. Most of the time his clothes were a little dirty as well, stained from the earth, as he tended to clean his hands by simply wiping them on what he was wearing.

The Character:
Gardening has been Freki's passion since he was a small boy, helping his mother in the garden, learning about how to cultivate nature as well as possible. He had always known that he had a special connection the his natural environment, especially to plants. What he had not found out in his still young years was that he was very gifted with animals as well. His focus had always been on the garden though he felt that a part of his life was missing in order to make him whole.

Freki is a very peaceful person, disliking to hurt anything and anyone, avoiding fights whenever possible. He prefers biting down a retort – if he can even think of one – rather than start a fight by opening his mouth, especially because he sometimes does not quite know how to act in social situations. So sometimes, he does say something, even if it is in his usual gentle manner, and he ends up insulting or hurting the other person unintentionally. Needless to say that he is very easily scared, either by people or situations, though luckily enough for him, he has never been bullied into doing something. Whenever someone asks him for a favour, he usually gladly obliges, though he does put his foot down if people begin to abuse his good will, no matter how much they appreciate his good nature. He dreams of one day maybe rising to the occasion and jumping over his own shadow to become stronger as a person, but he does not believe this could ever happen to him for real. Even if he tries to do the right thing and comes to someone’s aid, it does ultimately not alter who he is and he is still scared of almost everything.

I still love Freki and may some day make him return if I ever feel like him again, but for now, he simply doesn't fit into the plot as he is just too scaredy-chicken and I don't want him to turn into the typical fantasy character who rises to the occasion and saves the war.
