Fifty years ago the supernatural population revealed themselves to the city of Providence, Rhode Island.

Rather than being relegated to shadowy nightmares, the creatures of the night showed themselves to be a savvy class of ruthless businessmen and women who'd orchestrated a town into their own personal playground. Even stronger than the supernatural ties were the mafia ones that cut the city into sections, particularly the East going to the strongest organized werewolf clan while the West did the same with the vampires. Dozens of smaller, less organized, or even equally organized groups, now call the city home and take part in a power struggle that's been building for centuries.

In recent years, the factions have increased their efforts to gain not only members but power within the city while controlling their aware human population. Even the cops have begun to take sides, aligning themselves to the families for a combination of power, protection, and their own motives, though at this point, it's anyone's game.
