Typical Plot rules all apply, and I hope you enjoy your journey on the way back to Kaionar; the direct link to the map is as such: https://i.servimg.com/u/f69/13/39/62/08/themap12.jpg Also, it may be useful to look up some references to travelling time found on the main refs page; https://dragonscove.darkbb.com/t284-settings-reference-maps
There will be no posting order, and no new joiners are being accepted for this roleplay.
Some Info: After a brief meeting with the S.R's Lord Straten, it was found that Felren, then made to be a "hero" among the ranks of the S.R men has a certain "sickness" in his body, it was then that Deos made the suggestion to travel to Kaionar; allegedly a great healer can be found there that could be perhaps the only one capable of removing the parasite from Felren. With reluctance, Zartear allowed them to go, sending along Captain Hadanna (a leader among a division of calvary lancers) and some of the men under his command along with them (Also as a precautionary measure)
The time is approximately between 3 and 4 am, very dark, although the night air is quite warm, being a summer night.

| As a warm, yet comfortable breeze went through the remains of Racksom, Felren grinned. The smile never reaching his red ringed lavender eyes and the deep markings from the ritual of putting the Tribal Battle Blood into his body was spattered with the blood of many men. Not a single one of them Felren wanted to kill but he was unable to stop the bloodthirsty urges of the dragon.
He looked to the woman on his right, moving the large horse he sat upon to face her. “If you really are confident in this healer, let us go. The Eastern gate is the most clear. While the dragon within him craved to see the light leave a man’s eyes again he knew his limits and currently he was pushing it.
He turned his horse once more and headed for the gate, finding no resistance this far back in the city. He had no idea what to think about the group Zartear had assigned to them but so long as they kept out of his way, Felren didn’t care. He couldn’t possibly trust the woman at his side and never would but why not see if she could get the slippery freak out from inside him. He would rather face Kevv again in person, enjoying the trill of battle, but the coward was off somewhere regrouping with her tail between her scaly hide.
Captain Hadanna was known as the loyal type. He was fully committed to fight and die for Zartear fully believing in the man’s cause. He had not wanted to leave his leaders side but his orders were clear and he would never question them. He kept his horse behind Deos and Felren’s making sure to keep an eye on the unknown group of people. He didn’t trust them, but Zartear did. And that was enough proof for him.

| In all honesty the addition of several horse lancers was nothing that even so much as phased Deos. Actually, she was glad for the escort. At the best of times Dragons Cove could be a dangerous place for a lone wanderer, and this was certainly not the best of times. If worse came to worse she would always rely on her swordsmanship to get her out of a bind, her left-handedness proving the be more valuable of an asset in a fight than her actual combat skills. But with a retinue of trained soldiers at her back (well, Felren's back really, but he was hardly in any sort of state to be commanding them now was he?) then she was confident that she had very little to fear. Save for perhaps an angry dragon attack, but all good things in time.
When asked once more if she was confident in the healer's abilities she simply replied with an affirmative, feeling no need to explain herself and her choice to fall back on this man. If Zherneboh was still alive -and she had very little doubt of his survival- then he would be able to fix whatever it was lurking inside of Felren. Or, if the animal-man had up and died, then whoever his apprentice was should work just as fine, though unfortunately probably at a higher price. Then again, a show of brute force was almost always a bargaining chip guaranteed to lower cost, so if casting out that disgusting parasite lurking inside Felren was looking to be too expensive, then she could always ask for a little help from the incredibly vicious dragon lurking inside her white-haired companion.
The sounds of battle slowly decreased as they made their way out of the city and through the gates, the screams of dying men and braying horses being replaced by the clopping of hooves on the cobbled streets. It would be interesting trying to get around the Defenders if they were all massed at the Northern gate and guarding the way, but a detour around their pitiful forces would probably take care of that. She was most worried about getting down the huge cliffs that separated the South-West half of the island from the central bits, but where there was a will there was a way.

| As soon as the noise from the city had started to die down, Felren slumped visibly in the saddle of his huge horse and let his eyes scan the area around him. A flash of white, and a large blotch of black caught his attention and he stopped his horsing, holding a hand up to the people behind him to stop moving for the moment. He squinted, it was an avian woman and some sort of large bird, and they were conversing over something. He looked further behind them to see a flock of townsmen making their way further into the farmlands away from the city. “Interesting.” He said to himself, and looked back to Captain Hadanna.
“Send one of your men back to Zartear, inform him a large portion of townspeople flee to the north escorted by a white winged avian woman and some sort of overly large black chicken.” He said with as much sarcasm as he could muster in his current state. “Feel no need to return the man either.” And with that, Felren began riding again wanting to get as far away from the city as possible so he might relax. That and the dragon was going to leave him soon, so his strength would be pretty much nonexistent.
Hadanna looked around his men for a long moment and rested his gaze on the man to his left. “Gorwren, go back and inform Lord Zartear of the fleeing people with all haste.” He didn’t like taking orders from this white haired man, but what other choice did he really have? His Lord had ordered him to do this mission and do it he would…but he would not trust these two.
The rider besides Hadanna looked as if he would protest the order but shut his mouth and dipped his head low, willing to follow his commanding officer to whatever end he asked of him. Without so much of a goodbye, he turned his horse about and started a fast gallop back into the interior of the city.

| Kevvile had sort of been rather quiet as of late. He had his own matters to attend to. He knew Kevv was living again. In a bit of peril from time to time as well. These beings here had really caught on to her it seems and the Surahnians for one, were not liking her at all. He couldn't blame them. He only served her ebcause he was a part of ehr soul. He truly had no choice. It was do this or well, be locked in the chasms in the back of ehr mind and soul, never to really be released. Such a fate... he was not too content with. He knew The End was in there and The End was highly, highly unpleasant to be around, even for him. He watched things though from Felrens' eyes. This human was so pathetic, so was the other soul in here in his opinion. They had NO idea of what they were getting into at all with him, they had no clue of his capabilities. Which were far mroe then theyd likely anticipate.
Every now and then he did make sure Felren knew he was there... he would make pain somewhere if he got bored, or he might shut off an organ for awhile even. He was random and unpredictable and eh liked it that way. However he watched these beings coming up on this new town. Seeing them fleeing and things... he chuckled a bit. These beings on this planet were such sissies, most all of them! People needed to man up and stand their ground, at least they would give somethin to do. He wrapped tentacles around Felrens' kidneys... tightening up ever so slightly at one section of his intestine. Oh his next meal would be highly unpleasant feeling to him... let alone the acidic buildup in him would not be pleasant at all. but toher then that, Kevvile jsut sat, waiting. Figuring out the humans' motives waiting for them to try to get him out of this Felren. Oh it was going to be so fun...

| Their group had been traveling for days now, leaving the soaring pillars of smoke from the city of Racksom far behind on this little mission to try and save the life and sanity of a man whose illness seemed to not only be incurable, but determined to make its host's life a literal hell. Deorwynn never knew what to expect from one minuet to the next from Felren. One moment he would be fine, silently brooding as he was wont to do, then suddenly he would be in excruciating agony. More than once she had steadied him to keep him from falling off his horse completely, taking particular care to cover her hands and keep from directly contacting his person. She had no desire at all to see the dragon that lurked inside of him again and had a feeling that be beast was not at all pleased that it's host's fleshy body was so easily defeated by the parasite that plagued him. She shuddered to think what would happen to the pest if they ever got it out, imagining the slimy black ugly thing being burned to a crisp by the dragon man's flame breath. This also lead to her thinking of what would happen if her healer didn't get rid of the parasite, but if it were an impossible task, she would either make some very good excuses or else run. Deorwynn had no desire to face the wrath of a pained and doomed Felren, especially with a handful of armed horsemen at his beck and call.
But now they were close to civilization, and with it a chance to at least help cushion the pain that Felren was inflicted with entirely too often. The small village of Plurith was simply a stopping point before they headed out across the vast plains to get to Kaionar. They would need food and water supplies, and most importantly, a way to easily get down the cliffs that cut off the northern and southern halves of the island. It was the easiest crossing point, and so made sense to make the stop in the tiny village.
The sun was beginning it's descent in the sky now, a few hours before full sunset and darkness crept over the land. They all were tired from spending so much time in the saddle, but none would dare mention it to anyone else. Not with Felren there, the great hero of the Surhinians, and not with the Captain so on edge. It hadn't taken Deos very long to figure out that though Hadanna was exceedingly loyal to his king, he wasn't particularly the most clever man she had ever met. Which was of course a minor problem in that Deos could risk nothing in front of him without the man passing judgement, and she had a feeling that the man indeed was gathering all the information that he could on her performance in order to report back later. That was the whole purpose of his assignment, after all. Zartear did not trust her with very good reason, so he had sent someone along to keep an eye on her. It was a classic move, and though initially annoying, it was something that she could get used to working within.
The citizens of Plurith eyed their group as they rode into town warily. No doubt news had spread here about what was going on in Racksom, though the information that they had received about the attack was probably spotty and unreliable at best. Even they having come directly from the battle did not know how it had ended, or if it was still going on at all. No one seemed pleased to see their little band but neither was there a full-scale riot. These people were little more than scared sheep, Deos concluded, regarding any who dared to show their faces with little more than a passing disregard. It would be good to be wary of an attack in the night out of cowardice, but otherwise she could see no threat from these meek insignificant farmers. But first things first, they needed to find somewhere to bed down for the night and let the tired horses rest.

| Felren grew tired and even weaker as their travels went on. He found it hard to sit up on the horse without help from the dragon much less be able to walk on his own. He couldn’t keep food down for the life of him and was hardly able to force water down his throat without protest from the gross thing inside of him. It wasn’t going to let him die via starvation, oh no, that was made clear already.
He turned his head to Deos. “ I need to get off of this horse, now, and rest for the night.” IT was the dragon speaking to her as his eyes changed color and he was able to make himself sit up in the horse. The dragon had to keep itself back from its host as often as possible to keep his strength on reserve for emergencies. Either from Deos or some other outside group, Felren refused to die again. Refused to stare death in the face a second time.
Captain Hadanna looked around his group of men, saw their tired faces and agreed with Felren that they needed a rest. It had been a hard ride from Racksom and two of his men were nearly killed when they looked at Felren the wrong way. It was merely his lack of strength that had saved his men that day and it was a mistake he wouldn’t let his men make again.
Felren saw an inn and made his way to it, he slowly slid from the horse and looked at the group around him, his ruby eyes setting on one of Hadanna’s men. “You will stay out here tonight and guard our supplies and horses. I will take personal joy in ripping you from limb to limb if they go missing.” He growled in warning, though in his current state the threat felt empty.
The man looked to his captain and saw that he wasn’t going to defy the dragon man. He slid off of his own horse, and waiting for everyone else to the same before tying them to a post and making himself comfortable for the night. It was going to be a long one.
“You. Woman. Get us room.” He looked to Deos, while there was a less of a bite to his voice there was no less command. He knew full well She was trying to get in good with Zartear and her obedience to the ‘great hero’ would prove well for them both.

| Though not particularly favoring her reference to simply be 'woman', Deos was hardly in any position to bring up points of social decencies. That, and the expression on Felren's face screamed murder. It was easy to tell when the volatile dragon was in control of the man. His mood became noticeably more abrasive and his eyes began turning color. In all honesty, she was surprised that nobody was dead yet. Leaving her horse to the Captain, Deos made her way into the inn, drawing some gazes but taking little note of them. Upon finding the inn keeper she immediately made it very clear that she was paying minimum rate for his best room, or his head would be severed from his shoulders immediately. All in a deathly sweet tone of course, and without ever once raising her voice. After acquiring the key to the room, she weaseled out a name for the local herbalist and the old man's location. She handed over the coins and pointed Felren to the room, having more common sense then to try and physically guide him there. She liked her limbs attached to her torso, after all.
Then, it was the hunt for the herbalist.
*~*~*
Plurith wasn't exactly ever his ideal destination point, but work came from where it came from, and far be it from Goh to turn down an opportunity to put an end to wizardly shenanigans. Of course in such a small town it hadn't been a wizard at all, but just an old man who was something of a hermit. Kirk snorted again in annoyance, pacing nearly silently by Goh's side as the two walked along together in the night.
"I know, I know. But hey, at least we're getting paid. And we saw those cliffs the other day. That was something, eh?" Goh asked with a chuckle, adjusting the halberd he always carried a little on his shoulder so that it would be more comfortable. The huge wolf-dog at his side merely shook it's head, the big brown creature shooting him a dark glare. "Yeah, I know, not really worth the trip. But at least it was a false alarm. Could have been another demon summoner." At that the wolf-dog huffed, exposing his teeth slightly and walked a little faster, the creature's longer limbs carrying him ahead of his partner.
Plurith was in sight now, which meant that Goh could crash for the night then he and his trusty partner Kirk could be off in the morning without looking back. Hopefully they wouldn't have to be in this part of the country again… Whispers of bad things happening down south made the freelance mage hunter wary of the area. He was all for avoiding anything resembling a battle, preferring his mountain homes to the splash of blood and the cries of dying men.
By the time he arrived back in Plurith, he noticed a few things were different about the place. Kirk had left him to go hide in the country side as was his habit. Huge dogs like him weren't common around these parts, and nobody seemed to like it when the rather good-natured four legged creature came loping into town. People were a little darker of humor and only spared him a suspicious glare when he walked passed. What had gone on while he was away…? His question was answered quickly upon arriving at the hotel that he had booked the night at. There were horses in the stables now… lots of them too, and they were guarded by men in armor that looked pretty pissed. Immediately Goh was on guard. What were these guys doing here? Did this mean that the war was really real, then? That there was a battle going on down south?
Whatever the case, he needed to sleep and so entered the inn. Bright green eyes scanned the inside of the tavern, looking for something that obviously wasn't there. Shrugging, he headed in the door, but only got one step off of the threshold when suddenly someone ran into the back of him.
So, the herbalist hadn't been lying? Deos was at first angry that someone had the nerve to stand in the middle of the doorway like an imbecile, but once she locked eyes with the strange dark-skinned man locking her path, a slow smile curved her lips. Well, wasn't this incredibly convenient? The Quarterling was here? And he was exactly as the herbalist had described him. Well, if he could get rid of the thing lurking inside Felren, then there would be no need to travel all the way to Kaionar. That, and if his powers were as unique as the herbalist had indicated them to be and not some self-started exaggerated fable, then he would have other uses as well…
"Oh my, I'm terribly sorry, I didn't see you there." Deos instantly switched her tactic, going from angry wrathful woman that she was to the small meek thing most men would expect her to be in a heartbeat. "Oh-! How fortunate. Are you the Quarterling mage slayer that I've heard about?"
For a second Goh was tempted to roll his eyes and make a biting sarcastic retort. Of course he was the Quarterling mage slayer she had heard of. How many Quarterlings did this woman see on a regular basis? "You've heard right, I'm the guy you're looking for if there's a mage that needs slaying."
"Oh that's terrific!" Deos replied, sounding a little breathless. "I sincerely hope that you can help me… I've a friend that has been cursed with some awful affliction…"
"Say no more. Lead me to your friend Lady. Curses are easier to fix than mages…" Which was mostly true. Of course there was no way that Goh could have any idea what awaited him upstairs and simply followed Deos up to the room that she had rented out for Felren, taking a moment to look at the strange man inside. He had never seen a similar being before in all of his travels, and wondered what sort of creature he was, or else what kind of curse had been placed on him to make him look so. What an odd case…

| Kevvile just kept his place for the moment. Him lstening, waiting, anticipating. His mind and feelings probing some at these new beings. The herbalist he didn't have to look at too much to see what that being was about. But the other.... Goh was his name? THIS one intrigued the savage brute alot! He seemed a void purely,a void for magic. Was that possible? How was that possible!? But it was good. Oh sooo good. If anything could perhaps destroy the one he was caged to, it would be this man. Kevviles' goal in this changing very quickly. He was not one to use a ton of magic anyway. Hell he preferred none at all. the feel of armor and bone and metal and blood to his claws and teeth was far too strongly good to want to just cast from afar. Not like the one he was tethered to in that subject at all.
Kevvile alleviated his hold on Felrens' organs just a bit. Yes indeed this voidal being was intriguing.... A bit strange though. Goh didn't seem to have the complexity of a dark person. Yet he was going to help someone very dark in nature.... Kinda backward was it not? However perhaps this one would help him and not actually do him harm. Kevvile just had to play his cards right in this. He didnt want his body harmed, no. However if this being was such a good void for magic.... he could destroy that soul tether now couldnt he? He would free Kevvile fully instead.... |

| After observing his rather odd client for a moment, Goh mentally shrugged and physically cracked his fingers. "Right, so, what's he cursed with? Body mutations?" Those were really easy and not particularly a harmful charm to get rid of.
Deos tensed for a moment, wondering if the Dragon locked inside of Felren was awake, and if it was, she dearly hoped that the Quarterling man didn't get himself into a position where decapitation was extremely likely. However, the tired man didn't seem to be reacting negatively yet, so she simply shook her head. "No, the mage that cursed him gave him a-" How best to describe that ugly one-eyed freak…? "-a parasite, of sorts."
"Parasite, eh? Those are a bit tricky." Goh replied, walking closer to Felren. So, the horns were normal, then? A very odd creature indeed! Not as impressive as some of the half-beast men he'd seen, but the tattoos were a nice touch. Vaguely he wondered just what sort of being this guy was, and hoped that attempting to nullify whatever was inside of him would revert the man into something disgusting in the process. Like a pool of rotting organs. That had happened before when he had nullified a recently undead Lich. "I'll need a hundred gold for the services, another hundred if this works." He told the woman, holding out his hand for the advanced payment.
The nerve of this guy! Deos was fuming inside but didn't let it show, handing over a bag of coins. The Quarterling checked the contents of the pouch briefly, then gave Deos a nod and stowed the money.
"Alright then. Just try and relax, hopefully, this won't hurt." Goh gave Felren a reassuring grin, then simply placed his hands on either side of the man's neck, his bare palms resting on the exposed flesh there. Instantly he could feel the connection when his nullifying void spread to encompass the dragon man. Anything using magic would be nullified in a heartbeat.

| Felren was exhausted and finally getting to sit on a comfortable bed and not the ground or that huge horse he had been riding since they left Racksom. The thing inside him had yet to relent in its torture of him and it took everything he got not to try and claw at himself to get it out on his own. He had to guess this Deos woman would be bringing him to someone that would actually work because she wanted something of him. Everyone had a price and if Felren’s was getting the damned monster inside of him out; then so be it. His
He was about to lay himself down when Deos brought a man in with her. The dragon stirred within him in a curious manner more than anything. This one has interesting powers, human. He watched as the man went around him and growled at his looks and comments but did nothing more. He would wait to see if this actually worked. The dragon let his eyes slip back into a more lavender color to let Goh do his work. The feeling of his anti-magic powers made the dragon roar to life, seeing as how he was brought into Felren by magic. He was only lucky that he was now infused into the man’s blood or he too might have been wiped out of his host’s body.

| Kevvile felt the grip of the Voidal being upon his hosts' neck. It was so amusing, they thought him a magical curse! He was no true curse, he was just placed ehre simply. The magical work was done with that. What Kevvile did now was all nerve work and such. But indeed it had such a strong and firm hold most would definently think it was magic. But he did not worry about that now. Watching the vidal being simply, so intrigued. Feeling the touch and what it was doing. Kevvile chuckled. Rather hiding his own magics, the shadowy energies withdrew into himself to just rest away for now. Hell he didnt need them. But damn this man was so interesting..... perhaps he should chat with him?
Kevvile took a second to think on that. but he soon made his mind up. The neural connections the hands had with the skin of his host were enough. Kevvile touched the beings' mind.... He would commune with nerves, not magic. For he kenw what this one was capable of. ~My my, arent you an interesting one.~ He said. Despite the fact this being was there to try and kill him, Kevvile was liking this strange male. Which was a rare thing. Kevvile usually detested everyone. Goh had his attention though and strongly. Quite a friend he could turn out to be for whoever he chose to... someone with such an inflictment was very strong. His physical frame could use some toning though Kevvile would admit. Though this hardly was a time tocare of that. For now, Kevvile would get to know this one slightly better. Perhaps he would achieve a better ending with tis. For him to die would be one thing. But to be freed of his soul tether? Oh yes that would be much better, not to be bound to that infernal Dragoness-looking being.... It needed to happen. |

| He wasn't quite sure what he was waiting for. Usually people who were possessed by magic instantly reverted to their natural state, or in the case of magical parasites, they would leap out of some orifice. Usually the belly button or whatever patch of skin they were hiding under, but he had seen disgusting worm-things crawl out of people's mouths and eyes before, which was always quite the disturbing sight. Goh began to notice that his hands were tingling though, and with a tad bit of concern he removed them from Felren, examining his palms thoroughly. "Huh…" He muttered, seeing no mark on his hands and only the imprint of his hands against Felren's neck which were quickly fading. "Well, that was anti-climatic. Do you feel any better? Or different?" He asked, searching Felren's body for signs that a parasite had crawled out somewhere. Unlike Deos, he didn't actually know what the creature lurking inside of Felren looked like.
Hopeful, Deos took a few steps forward and brushed Felren's hand, using her soul search to try and see if the nasty one-eyed monster had been evicted. She found it easily enough, the hideous little thing clutched around Felren's stomach region. She didn't even dare to look up and see the dragon, pulling away her hand once the presence of the parasite was confirmed. Damn, and she had hoped that this would be easy… Oh well, it appeared that they would have to go to Kaionar anyway as planned.

| Felren was waiting for this healing to be done with, to feel the monster out of his stomach and to be able to rest in peace for a little while. His dragon wasn’t feeling the same though and intended to kill whatever was in him over and over again until the blood on his hands would never disappear. “Nothing happened.” Felren looked up to Goh, his pained lavender eyes scanning the man. “Why did it not work?” He frowned, putting a hand to his stomach where a majority of the pain had been coming from. He felt the dragon roar in protest, that this was all a hoax but his human counter part convinced him to calm down enough for them to get answers. Perhaps the male wasn’t done?

| The Quarterling studied Felren for a moment in silence, his face a mask of concentration as he tried to figure out what might have gone wrong. "There's a simple explanation of course." He dropped his hands to his waist, continuing to examine Felren as if waiting for the parasite to pop out still. "Whatever's eating at you can't be magical in it's current state. If it were, it would have either attempted to exit your body, or else simply ceased to exist. Either way, the pain would have stopped… So, it has to be some sort of purely physical being that's literally feeding off of you like a leech. If you could get at it, it should be a matter of just removing or else killing it without killing yourself in the process. I would suggest going to someone who specializes in this sort of thing in order to get rid of it. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help." He shrugged his apology, fingering the shoulder strap of his backpack.
"But you can easily get rid of purely magical beings…?" Deos asked, hardly even bothering to try and sound timid or scared. It was a blatant question that she would like to know immediately.
"Of course." Goh replied with another shrug of his shoulders. "If it's got magic I can get rid of it, if it's made of magic, I can poof it."
Deos thought on that for a second, liking the way that this was going. "How about magical barriers?"
Goh examined Deos for a second, wondering where this conversation was going. He was starting to think that this woman was playing him, drawing him in on her web, but could detect no immediate threat from her. "I can walk through them. But I can't disable them unless I find the source of the barrier… why?"
"Hmm, then you may be perfect for a job that I have in mind." She smiled, looking up once at Felren but otherwise keeping her grey eyes attached to the vivid green ones of the dark-skinned man before her. "I'm sure that you've heard of the war in the South. Everyone has heard the whispers, and a well-traveled man like yourself will have heard of it. The only question is, where would your allegiances lay?"
Oh. Well, crap. This had taken a dangerous turn. The woman was standing between him and his only escape out of the room and he noted now that she was well armed and looked capable enough to swing the incredibly decorative sword at her hip. On the wrong side though, maybe she's bluffing?. His halberd would be of no use in such tight quarters, which left him with only the knife at his belt, hardly a suitable weapon given the situation. "I am on no side."
"Mm, a pity. Perhaps I can convince you to join my side then?" She saw him ready himself for a fight, and a slow smiled curled the corner of her lip. "Stand with me, for the liberation of Dragons Cove from the grip of tradition that has been smothering us for hundreds of years. There is revolution on the horizon, and either you can join us, or…" Here she grinned in earnest and unsheathed her sword, the sound of sliding metal filling the room. "Well, Felren, if you decide to join this encounter, try not to kill him. I think that he may be useful to us even unconscious."

| Kevvile felt him do very unsuccessfully at trying to draw him out. Well of course this Voidal being wouldnt draw him out! He wasnt casting constantly and bombarding people with a pathetic lightshow. He almost laughed at the futility of it all. But he didn't want to laugh now. No, freedom for him was so close that he could TASTE IT! This Goh, he was the link needed to get out of this entire thing. To be a free creature at last... to not have to do Kevvs' bidding any longer. Thus, speaking to this man was imperitive. He figured it would be very win win if this went how he was picturing. For Kevvile would leave Felren quitte unharmed. He had no grudge agains tthis fool, he just was doing what his master had said to do pretty much. Plus with his normal instincts... it fed right into his likings. Thus, causing agony went with that. But to be free of it... it would help by a million times, he could leave this hellhole and actually do something worth doing!
Kevvile sighed, gripping Felrens' mind very slightly. Juast enough to let him know he wanted his attention. ~Tell this person I wish to speak to him. Relay my words to him, or ill destroy you.~ He said simply. He didn't want to be harsh this time but damnit, he had to get this done right! Being all nice now was not going to get him anywhre with that. No, Kevvile was never known for being nice. But he had to do this, this had to be done.... this opportunity was way too good to pass up.... ~Tell him this.... I dont want a war with him, ive no plans to take him down. For if I had, I wouldve done that already, my tentacles wouldve pierced through him inseconds. but he is a good thing to me in fact.... he can free me.~ KEvvile said. Yes, this being had what it took and he knew it. ~I want to be freed of the Link I have with Kevv. If this happens ill leave you and all the rest be more then likely... I do this, because its her orders. NOT Because I will it.~ He said. |

| Felren watched as this started to play out. So Does wanted him for more than just healing himself. How resourceful, he grinned to himself despite the situation. He nodded in conformation not to kill the odd man and raised a fist. Quietly, he stepped directly behind him and then let his arm fly, making contact with the back of Goh’s head with the loudest of punches. He watched as the man simply dropped to the ground without a word. “There. He is alive…unfortunately.”
By the time Kevvile began talking to Felren, he was already making his move on Goh. But to threaten a Tribal Battle Blood was never a good idea no matter what position you were in, because they didn’t care. What more, the human decided to answer first. “Oh, please, do try to destroy me. I’ve lived hundreds of years past my time and you’d be doing me a favor by ridding me of this dragon.” He said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, though he could speak no more as his eyes change quickly to a ruby red once more. Pathetic human, finally begging for death? He turned is attention back to Kevvile. "I care not for your threats vomitious mass. I am no messenger either. You’ll have to come out if you want to talk to him on your own.” He growled, sitting back on the bed and looking to Deos.
With a devilishly playful look on his face his flicked his gaze from her to Goh and back again. “It wants to talk to him.” He said in an amused tone.

| Well, that was certainly one way to deal with them… Deos prodded Goh with the tip of her boot, the man having crumpled like a sack of potatoes after Felren had knocked him in the head. The man was out cold as far as she could tell, or else he was an excellent faker at this. "Good, and thank you Felren, I would have hated to spill his blood in a pointless struggle." The woman sheeted her sword, wondering what to do with the Quarterling for the night when Felren began talking to himself. She stared at him for a moment, wondering if she was supposed to know what was going on in this situation and was about ready to tell him that no, she wouldn't be stabbing him anytime soon for her own self-interest when the color of his eyes suddenly changed. Deos had learned that the red eyes meant that the dragon half of Felren's personality was in control and had also learned of it's ferocity, so thought it best to stay quiet. When Felren decided to actually talk to her, she was a tad bit concerned with the notion that the parasitic creature actually wanted to talk, but the amused tone in which Felren spoke put her somewhat at ease. "Oh? And what does it have to say?" | |

| “Something about killing me if I don’t comply with telling him...” He nodded down to Goh, “About some sort of deal.” Felren laughed, this was highly unintelligent of this creature to think that because he was going to threaten him that he would comply. And either way, the man was out cold, what good would it do him now? Felren sat back on the bed and made himself comfortable. He narrowed his eyes as sudden anger came to them. “I’ve no want to help something that dares to threaten me.” His pride was far too large for that, even if he had to use his fleshy human to keep him alive for the past couple of years it hadn’t dented his pride in the least bit.
He looked to Deos. “What are you doing with him?” He asked with mild curiosity. “You have failed in bringing me a proper healer, so I suggest you have a plan B.” He flexed his claws, itching to kill something. He wanted the joy of draining someone of their lifeblood and currently there was no one in the room he could currently do so with. Either way, this threat was somewhat empty, Felren was weak, the dragon was able to make him move fluidly but it was painful and energy consuming. Energy the dragon would rather save.

| Inwardly, Deos heaved a sigh, outwardly, she maintained her mask of indifference, especially when Felren looked on the brink of murder. "This was never plan A." She responded mildly, gesturing vaguely to the unconscious Quarterling and dug out the sack of herbs that she had received from the old man who had told her about the mageslayer in the first place. "Take this." She tossed the bag at him, having no desire to come within striking range of the irritable man. "It should dull the pain until we can reach Kaionar. My original plan was to contact a healer that I knew who uses some… untraditional methods to cure his patients. I had simply hoped that the Quarterling would prove to be a shortcut." Deos knelt down next to Goh and started to tie his hands up, using whatever was on hand to get the job done. "If he isn't able to cure you, then you may have to strike the deal that the parasite proposes anyway. But, as for him." She rolled him over on his back once she was finished tying his arms. "Well, if we ever run into another one of those magical dragon creatures again, he will come to be most handy. I'm sure that you would like to be able to fight one of those creatures on an even playing field where the cowards aren't using magic." | |

| Felren grabbed the thing she tossed at him and looked at it. He was amused that she wouldn’t come within striking range and thought that smart of her. He listened to her for a moment before opening the bag and shoving some of the herbs down his throat. They tasted, well not appealing but it wasn’t as if he cared much. He knew that Deos wouldn’t kill him so he trusted that whatever her consumed would not end his life. “Kaionar isn’t far off…” He commented to himself. His eyes shifted back to their original lavender and he leaned back to support himself. The human side of him found Does an interesting person, fully out for herself but smart. Perhaps she could survive with the dragon. To do horrible things…? Probably, but it was better than being alone with the dragon all the time.

| Kevvile of course was patient. He waited for an answer... and was not at all pleased when it came. Well that was NOT the way to resond when something so vicious was trying to be... nice? He lashed a bit inside him, quaking with fury. Damn this idiot was an imbecile! He had been aiming at leaving him and leaving no trace of his existance in this fool. Yet here he goes, being all threatening! How dimwitted could this thick-skulled being be? Hell they mightv'e even gotten an ally by freeing him from those bonds of soul... but yet no. This Felren wanted to be persistant and angry. He could half-understand, but yet, most would lunge at such a chance, as to get rid of something so vile within their body! But noooo, he had to go and try to offend him instead.
Kevvile then just growled. ~What a fool! I offered to come out of you and yet you jst deny me!? What an idiotic choice! Youre extremely lucky that magical void is in here, lest I would completely consume you from the inside out right now! But that dragonic soul would go first! Such stupidity ive not seen in many of thousands of years! Im in here not by choie! Now im GIVING a damn choice to get me the hell out of this! Yet no, you gotta be a fricking rockheaded bullhorn and say stupid crap like that! When I cvan take your life whenever I pelase! Do you NOT see the foolishness in that!?!?~ Kevvile growled. This time he let his mind be heard by alll in the room. Except for Goh. He wouldnt touch the magical voids' mind, fr he knew that would spell no good for him... But Deos had a bit of his attention too, she wasa curious being for sure. Thus, she deserved to hear him... |

| “You have no choice in this, don’t you see? This man would have cut all magical bonds inside me if it were possible.” He looked to Deos to ensure that he was right on this. “If you kill me then so be it.” Felren was now calmed, finding such amusement that he could get such a ride out of the ugly creature inside of him. He shrugged his shoulder and looked to the unconscious Goh. “Either way the man is unconscious so why don’t you stop you bitching and shut the hell up.”
What Felren didn’t understand is how Kevvile thought it was possible to harm the dragon soul within him. The soul was nothing more than that, not something physical or that could be grabbed onto. He was infused through Felren’s blood stream by magic but he did not live off it. It was as if the markings on his body were a binding to keep the soul in. If his human host died, the soul would simply vanish from the world, as it should have when he died the first time around.

| She was in the middle of propping their Quarterling hostage against a wall when the creature inside of Felren suddenly lashed out. Her first thought was to block out the creature's mind, shutting down entirely to cut off any possible mental attack. Even so, she could understand the gist of the creature's rant, feeling it's anger batter at her mental barrier with little success at getting through. She watched with some worry as Felren apparently talked to himself, though she knew that he was conversing with the parasite and not simply to the empty air. She wisely kept silent turing their conversation, grey eyes taking in all that was happening in the room all the while maintaining her mental barrier. She couldn't feel the creature trying to get in her head again, but that didn't mean that it wasn't waiting to talk to her or try and possess her mind. What a fouled power… Though she had noticed that the attacks on her mental fortress completely disappeared when she was touching the Quarterling. That was certainly interesting, in the very least. And she couldn't see into his soul either, which was slightly refreshing albeit a little discomforting. He hadn't been kidding when he said that he could deal with any magic users, though typically she didn't put herself in that category. Even her powers as a seer didn't work on him…
"I take it that you're not going to be negotiating with the parasite any time soon?" She asked a tad dryly when Felren was yelling at himself, keeping in contact with Goh just incase there was to be another mental attack. If only she could make his powers more accessible… Well, they had a few days yet until reaching Kaionar, in which time the Quarterling would be conscious again and she could pick at him for information in exchange for not dislocating his joints. People tended to spill their secrets when you started ripping out bits of their anatomy. And Felren looked like he could rip quite a few people apart with the mood that he was in.

| Felren looked up to Deos when she spoke and a wicked smile came to his face. “I am not one for taking orders, but perhaps when our new friend feels like talking…” He nodded down to Goh, “Then perhaps we shall find a…solution.” His ruby eyes glittered with a deeper intent to his words that couldn’t be anything pleasant. He sat back for a moment longer, and was growing restless. Several days of no bloodshed and constant riding of that damned horse made for a very tense dragon. “I will be going out for a bit, unless you wish to play.” The wicked smile Felren was sporting came back but he already knew Deos’ answer and his own. He needed her right now; so killing her would not be an option.
Without waiting for an answer, Felren walked past Deos and out of the room. He easily made his way into the streets. He could care less if Deos followed along indiscreetly or not at all. He needed to find a plaything and feel the fresh blood flowing onto his hands. The cool night air blew gently against his skin and he sighed. It had been some time since he had the patience to hunt his prey
Felren walked for a short while before he found a group of women standing outside a building, softly calling to any man who would pass and rubbing their chest along their arms to bid them closer. They looked like a group of harpies, but it was a good place to start. Felren made a beeline directly to them and stood directly in front of one of the more beautiful women in the group. She was of average height and hard dark brown hair. A corset wrapped tightly around her slim body and a short skirt clung to her shapely legs. Looks however meant nothing to Felren.
“Could I be of service, good sir?” She purred, putting a hand on his chest and running down to his stomach and back. She pressed herself close to him. “Your services for the night.” Felren responded. The woman smiled and wrapped her arm around Felren’s to lead him in the building behind them.
The building was rather simple inside, with low lighting and several rooms and corridors. Felren could easily guess what was happening behind each one and grinned. His heart was pumping full of blood now and adrenalin filled his veins.
“Right this way, sir.” The woman’s voice pulled him from his thoughts as he looked at the room he would be allotted for the night with the woman. “My rate for the entire night is twenty gold pieces, but I am sure you have more than enough…” She stood in the middle of the room and waited for her patron to join her.
Without much of a word, Felren closed the door behind him and locked it. He made his way to her side and quickly pressed his lips to hers in a crushing kiss. He put on hand on her back and the other on her hip.
The woman was a little surprised that he jumped right into it, but it wasn’t something that was so uncommon. When some of her patrons had been without a partner for a long while they sometimes grew a bit restless and would go the rough route. It was nothing she didn’t mind. As a whore you really got a wide range of customers. Going with the flow, the woman kissed him back with the same lust and wrapped her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. She could easily tell her was a well toned man and handsome to boot.
Felren would have a grin plastered to his face if his lips and tongue were not busy on the whore’s. Felren was not an average costumer. He pulled himself back ever so slightly, but kept his lips locked with hers as he brought a hand to her left breast. He heard her soft moan as he began to massage and thought for a moment that perhaps he wasn’t as out of practice as he thought. When she went to move her hands down his waist he didn’t stop her, letting her even unbuckle his pants. “I want to play…” He growled, pulling back from her lips.
“Anything, sir...” She said a little breathlessly. The woman had no idea what she was getting into but Felren kissed her once more as if to reward her for her willingness. He reached down and drew a small dagger. He bent down to easily rip her skirt and brought a piece of the material back up with him. “Hold still.” He commanded, as he made a gag for her. He was surprised how easily she took to it but thought it all the better for him.
He leaned in a licked her cheek. “Lets see how well you bleed…” He whispered in her ear. He heard a stifled gasp as she quickly started to back peddle away from him. She quickly was met with a wall and Felren swiftly pressed his body against her. “Now now, relax…” He cooed, as he brought the dagger to her throat. Muddle cries came from her throat as tears began to run down her cheek. Felren felt her body tremble underneath him and sighed in contentment. What joy this was, what a rush! He pulled her arm up with one hand and the other used the dagger to make a crude, deep wound. She tried to scream but the gag prevented the sound from going very far. Blood instantly coated his hand and he licked the warm life essence.
Felren heard muffled words, many of the ‘please’, ‘stop’, and the likeness. He could smell the fear on her, taste it in her blood. It flowed so easily when someone was frightened. He brought the dagger back up once more and tore it into her chest. She tried to scream again. Felren at this point was holding her up by her arm as she bleed onto the floor. Her struggling had stopped and Felren frowned. “Done already?” He growled as he dropped the dagger and then the woman. She fell on her knees and crawled to his feet, begging him to stop. Felren pulled the gag away from her mouth.
“Please please sir! Please…” She cried, Felren knew even if he left her as is, she would bleed out and die. Might as well make the final blow himself. Felren kneeled down and brought her chin up so she was looking at him. He pressed his lips against her swollen ones and she froze, not understanding what was going on. Was he really going to let her live? And before she even knew it, a sharp and unbearable pain was in her gut, and she looked down to see a sword through her body. “I…” She looked at him, tears streaming down her face as the last of her breaths came and the lights left her eyes. She fell on the floor in front of Felren.
Felren sighed contently, looking around the room. He did not care if someone found the body. He easily walked out of the room, and back out onto the streets. He saw the horrified looks on the girls that were still outside and watched in some amusement as they all ran inside the building. “I feel so much better.”
