Lena smiled weakly at Talos, even though her warning had gone unheard he didn’t push her away. If anything she simply wanted to be with him until they could leave this city or they both met their fates. She nodded at the mention of her leg and stifled a sigh. As they landed on the roof Lena sat herself down as Talos crouched over her leg and warned her it was going to hurt. Of course it was, it was already swelling like mad and turning really gross colors. “Hang on.” She asked him, ripping a piece of cloth of her shirt and putting it in her mouth. She didn’t want her screaming to bring worry or attention to the two of them. After she was situated, biting down as hard as she could she nodded for Talos to continue.

As he yanked the arrow out as fast as he could to keep from extending her pain Lena’s head rolled back as she screamed through the cloth she was biting. She clenched her fists and could swear that the arrow hurt more coming out than in and it was obvious as to why. Swelling around the wound had caused her muscles to become inflamed and angry so the movement was amplified. A few tears streamed down her face as she tried to breath through the waves of pain while Talos stopped the bleeding and was more then relieved when he began to wash and baggage the wound.

Spitting the gag from her mouth and panting slightly she looked to him. “Thanks…” she mumbled using him for support to stand. “I know I wasn’t gone long, but…” she looked back to the catapults and the lack of a certain prince hanging around. Again the question floated in her mind as to why they were still here.

Talos merely shook his head at the presence or lack thereof of their main leader. He hadn't seen the man disappear into the throng of battle, but didn't question it. He was sure that the man had something important to do if it weren't staying safe and giving commands from where he was. They had just rescued him, after all. "Stay here and catch your breath. I'm going to do a little bit of scouting. Take charge of the men if something momentous happens before I come back." With a pat on her shoulder, Talos was off, gaining altitude with each stroke of his wings until he was high enough above Racksom that he could see from one end to the other. Things were misty in the early dawn hours, but what Talos needed to see was looming above the retreating mist.

He squinted his eyes briefly to confirm what he saw, then shook his head. Was Zartear really that much of a fool? Daring to get closer to the spectacle (for he was quite above the reach of arrows, and the only dragons in the sky seemed to be of the friendly sort) he headed for the ruined Western gates. From his extreme vantage point he could make out armored men piling fragmented bits of wall in an attempt to clean things up. Their weapons were all either sheathed or abandoned, and as he watched he noted that not only were they cleaning things up, but in spots he could see where the wall was beginning to be rebuilt. Were they really so cocksure of a win that they had decided to leave an entire flank unguarded? Immediately opportunity was present, and Talos wasn't going to miss out on this one.

Diving to gain speed, Talos headed back for the roof that Lena was positioned on, flared and landed by her side. "The western wall is being rebuilt." He said a little breathless, hardly believing what he had seen himself. If only Atleon were here… They could leave the Northern Gate to its fate, strike a crippling blow at the Western one and make off with tons of better crafted weapons. As it was, Talos could only see being able to make off with a small squadron of men and archers and head for the Western gates to start up another front and get Zartear's army spread thin. The armored Surhinians had the advantage of skill and weaponry, but they were far less mobile than the farmers with limited armor if they possessed it at all. "Are you ready for a fight?" He asked Lena after a moment of silent thought.

As the dragon before him let out a roar, Silverwing felt his muscles tense even more. He regretted the instinct slightly though as pain shot through his body. He could barely tell what was the source of it all anymore, it all seemed to be mingling into one. He gritted his teeth as a blast of flames followed the sound; even though he knew he couldn’t counter that attack with his own due to the lack of energy, he knew he couldn’t just stand there and let them engulf him.
Silverwing was about to move, when he realised the flames were not in fact aimed at him, but were aimed at a group of soldiers a few hundred metres down the road in front of him. No, If this dragon was Surahnian, then he wouldn’t be doing flying tricks over his head and killing his own people. This was a defender.
Naturally, he relaxed a little, but only so much that he didn’t have to worry about one more enemy. He was still pretty much surrounded on either side, or soon would be. He turned his head to face the flying beast and let out a welcoming roar, acknowledging his help. But what came out was a feeble, barely audible sound above all the noise. His throat burned as sound vibrated against it and he felt himself have to heave his stomach muscles in order to get it out in the first place. His weight shifted forwards as he did so, and he thrust his front leg out in front of him to steady himself and stop him from going down. He found himself staring at the floor, breathing heavily and his legs aching to give way. It was a good job this new creature wasn’t of the opposition.

Sandy found herself skidding to a halt in front of the creature, now too close for her own comfort, She wasn’t used to dragonic creatures, and it just seemed plain uncanny. But she wasn’t going to let that get to her, she opened her mouth to speak, trying to stop herself from breathing heavily. She still lacked a great deal of energy, lost in the fight beforehand.
“Please,” she spoke. “You can heal, right? Heal anything?” She didn’t wait for an answer; there was no time. “Silverwing, my-” anyone else would have said dragon, but she hated that very phrase. Dragons belonged to no one, you couldn’t ‘own’ a dragon, so how could it be yours? “-friend, he’s at the Northern Gate. He’s very badly injured, I don’t know whether he will last the counter attack.” She stopped for a few seconds, thinking through what she had just said. To Gorz, it probably just sounded like a desperate cry in order to save a friend, but that wasn’t true. She tried to catch Gorz’ eye. “It’s very important he lives,” she took a breath. “...Please.” If he refused, she didn’t know what she would do, for she doubted anyone else around here had powers like this who could heal as effortlessly as this. Sandy had to stop herself from clenching her fist in anger, how could she of let this happen? Now practically begging for help. Never before had she found herself in this situation, and it frustrated her.

Static ran again as her bolts were deflected against a magical shield, getting out of the way in case another attack came her way. A boomerang shaped weapon came at her, and she whipped out her scimitar only just in time to deflect it. It smashed against the blade, setting it juddering down her arm. She clutched at the weapon with two hands, pushing the other one away- This beast was strong! When he was distracted with Kumiko’s blades (the kitsune was fast, faster than she was) and his magic, she kept moving, staying along the edge of the buildings in case of a quick escape being needed.

She felt heat roll off him as his spell was completed, and she put up another shield to deflect the first attack that came her way. She didn’t expect it to be from the ground though, almost getting spiked through the foot by one of the long barbs that shot through from the ground. Her cloak ripped as one caught on the energy, the edges of the fabric sizzling in a circle. She leapt backwards, scrambling onto a set of boxes that were stacked against the wall to avoid the spines. There was no good in defending against such a powerful creature; the only way forward was attack! She climbed along the top of the boxes, still avoiding the spikes, when she saw an idea.

There was a set of barrels stacked in a gap between the boxes she stood on, and a cart that was pushed up close to the wall. If what she thought they were full of, then she was in luck. Taking a glance at Kumiko, who was dancing around all over the spikes and distracting their opponent from what she was going to do, she looked back at the barrels and concentrated a small ball of energy between the barrel and wall, enlarging it quickly to make the barrel topple. It fell, something sloshing inside of it. Two more barrels followed, falling onto their side, before Static jumped down beside them, giving two a kick to send them rolling towards Kayoss, and stabbing her sword into the top of the third. Ale leapt up around her sword through the gap, and she kicked it after the others, a steady stream of alcohol gushing out of the hole she had made. Quickly she sent a blast of electricity at the nearest end, running for cover.
“Kumiko, run!”
The ale set on fire, flames licking towards the three barrels that had rolled to a stop in the middle of the street. One still gushed liquid, but as the flames reached it, there was a sucking sound, flames leaping out of the gap as the ale inside caught fire. The barrel caught fire, then it touched the other two, heating them for a minute before they too caught fire… and exploded.

Rilos dove after a set of Surahnians closest, blowing tongues of flame as he chased them down. They spilt, some perishing in his fire, others running to pull of burning cloaks. He turned again, spiralling back to the gate to take out the most dangerous groups around, but most of the soldiers had fled, leaving lone humans running for cover- they were too small a prey at the moment to worry about. The guardian dragon came first- With his closest pass, he looked in terrible shape. The spine spike flew low over the wall, dropping to the ground a little way away from where the dragon was. He was in awful shape indeed, even panting at the small skirmish that had taken place.
“Guardian!” he dipped his head respectfully, taking a few steps closer. “Your rider, she’s alive and with the other defenders. There are healers, I could bring one..”

Lena waited on the rooftop and did as Talos had instructed; catching her breath. Her leg was aching but it a pain she could easily deal with now that the projectile was gone. She hopped off the roof while he was gone and picked up a quiver full of arrows lying next to a rather dead looking man. “Thanks.” She tipped her head in respect as she hopped back on the roof and put the removed the arrows from that quiver to her own. She might have been a confident duel wielder, even more so back to back with Talos, but she would always feel most comfortable with a bow and arrow.

She waited for him to come back and it really didn’t take long. At his statement she could only gawk at him. “Rebuild?” She had a confused look on her face as she wondered why on Earth that would be doing that while the city was not completely secure. In honesty, Lena thought it was, the DDC was weakened and lacking supplies. They had been up all night fighting. But, Lena caught onto his drift and a grin replaced her confused stare. “If I wasn’t would I really be your wife?” She asked, putting out an arm for him to lead the way.

Gorz kept on casting, keeping his attention on the female who had came to him. Sandy seemed quite in need of this friend, whoever it might be. He tilted his head, listening carefully. "Yes, Amost anyting miss." He told her, flicking his tongue a bit. Though at the mention of a Silverwing he frowned. His mind feeling where she said he was. Well she was right, he DID need help! "Im on it miss, you just keep here with dis totem." He told ehr, dropping the odd wooden pole. Whcih expelled quite a soothing wave from it repeatedly... providing slow healing. ~Kayoss I gotta travel just a bit mon. Keep strong.~ Gorz told him. ~Yeah yeah just do what you gotta do bro.~ He told him simply. Parrying more from Kumiko, Dodging and sliding away, his tail parrying all that came from behind him expertly. Like a long, heavy mace it was...

Gorz quickly took flight, not going to waste time now. He knew KAyoss could handle himself. Or hirself, either way of him could hold their own and then some. He flew quickly however, soon spotting the big dragon entangled in struggles... with himself now mostly. Gorz landed a short distance from him. "You look tired mon." He said, planting his totems at once. "Lemme fix dat..." Which Gorz most definently began to. A gentle rune appeared on the ground under Silverwing. A rippling energy went from above him and downward, it felt like cool water... but began to mend wounds. The rune was quickly revitalizing energy too. Gorz continued his work, light streaking from him, connecting to Silverwing and speeding his healing up hugely. "Ya need to go to da Sandy person mon, she be missin you." He told him softly with a grin.

Kayoss however was NOT Expecting what he heard next. Who was telling Kumiko to run? He turned, to see Static making more of that lightning. But... not at him? Wait... He turned and roared, seeing exactly what he hadnt paid attention to before. Damnit! He Tried quickly to conjure a Dark shield to stop the burst of flames and things. Although the shield was only almost half-conjured.... He grunted, feling alot of the blast. Although he stopped serious damage, as the smoke and flames cleared enough, there was a VERY noticeable difference in who was in the blast there. For Kayoss ahd went from quite a gruff and muscular male to.... wait a female?

Well thats half-true, the body was more feminine now. Though some things shi was still not missing from that blast.... Hir armor had changed suddenly to fit the new form, or well hir true form, and shi most definently had a figure that likely could allure..well most beings quick. Although shi had no plans in using that. "Ha! I live- wait..." Shi frowned, her voice noticeably having changed when the body was released. Shi blushed and growled. "ACK!" Well this was a highly unpleasant surprised... Although this, if anything, just infuriated hir. "HOW DARE YOU!!" The femme-Kayoss shouted. NOW Shi was angry... "Yer gonna pay!" Shi was NOT Happy about this. Shi was exposed! Shi had wnated to be known as a male the whole time on this planet! What in the hell was Atleon going to think of hir now? He was so nice shi didnt want to disrupt him with cleavage or something! Or maybe shi did, hard to tell yet. but shi split down the center suddenly....

Hir halves seemed to have split in fact. The Light and the Dark half. They formed two beings... One Light and one Dark Kayoss. They both had the same weapons too. Though they both still had the same strength as well... but their life force was shared. Dark Kayoss grunted, jumping suddenly. Light Kayoss very quickly followed, but in the opposite direction. They were moving a decent bit faster then before too. Oh a furious Kayoss was not something one wanted to encounter, ever. They would PAY for exposing hir! Hir sword and mace seemed sightless, the two halves landing to the left of their target, both swinging almost in unison to one another. Almost... the Dark one especially, which was before Static, was attacking quite furiously. The Light half seemed more cautious, though still determined. The Dark half just wanted to butcher this one. He had exposed hir! Hir fury was profound, the Dark Kayoss expelling abeam from hir maw at Static at point-blak range. It wasnt a small beam either, it spread to be wie as hir body... oh Shi wanted Static flattened! Light Kayoss was more cautious with whom sho was fighting. Kumiko was quite a crafty being, and would be treated as such a an opponent. Though Light Kayoss did keep the pressure on hir, keeping close now, for Close-quarters combat most stubmled upon. Shi swnug and and weaved, the weaponry cutting through the air at a blistering pace. Shi too soon opened her maw, but she fired a Ball of Light energy at Kumiko right there in front of hir, indeed exposing hir just... unforgiveable!

Xavien gave a gentle chuckle, shaking his ehad slightly. "Eh, she is... over-cautious about some stuff." He said simply. He could tell her fuse was shortening for Kevv, so he shut up about her. He knew jeleousy could be a bit too powerful of a feeling... But hearing her he nodded. "Of course, its a very powerful artifact im sure." He said with a shrug. He had little care for such artifacts, his power was his own. "He just cant be let near it. He has it surrounded everywhere except below-ground.... so even then the other side can still get it, if theyre creative." He said with a shrug.

He rolled his shoulders a bit though, seeming to judge distances and window locations. He knew he had to make the breaking in and out pretty quick to do this. But he looked at Siofra. "Yeah... well its the mos tlogical choice i nthis. We gota do this really quick and almost unnoticed. We fly, not many are gonna see us get in, we can get the documents and split them up, then take the ones we deem worthy to Zartear I guess." He said, shaking his head. "Then get the hell out of here." He said with a soft smile. He growled and insigated it right then and there too. The body changed quite quickly, into the muscular, strengthened form of Demon Xavien. Whom picked ehr up off ehr feet. "Good, youre gonna be pretty close to me while we fly." He said with a grin. but sprang up.... Looking swiftly. Beginning to streak right toward a raised-up window with a chuckle... His body protecting ehrs, so shattering glass wouldnt hit her...

Sandy held her breath as Gorz replied. She was quite taken aback as the creature didn’t ask anymore questions; for a second, she wondered whether he was looking into her mind. No, impossible, right? But then again, up until now, she thought curing wounds this fast was impossible, so she could be proved wrong. And I situations like this, it was a relief more than anything. She went to speak again at the mention of Silverwing’s terrible state, but instead she found the dragonic creature drop the wooden pole in front of her. To her surprise, it continued to let out a wave of magic, healing people around her still, but much more slowly.
Instinctively, she would have gone to hold it, but something told her not to. As if her touch could break the never-ending chain of power and would cease the flow of healing. So instead, she drew out her sword and held it by her side, the tip pointing towards the ground. She had half expected to have to direct Gorz to the whereabouts of Silverwing, but as he took off, she figured that it mustn’t be necessary. Whatever power that dragon had, did sure come in handy from time to time.

Silverwing could do nothing but watch as the other dragon spiraled around in the sky and took with him some of the Surahnians. Most of them had begun to fled, the large groups mixing together in a scurry in fear of being the dragon’s next victim. There were still a few around, but not ones that seemed as daunting as the others. Yet then again, anything could be classed as daunting for Silverwing in this condition. Killing off a single other man would prove to be a big mistake.
Instead, he bared his teeth at the men around him who didn’t feel, trying to cover up the fact he was exhausted and pretty much powerless. Gladly, more of them flinched and ran, completely terrified by how close they had got in his sudden change of attitude. Only those who were brave, reckless stayed, but even they weren’t close enough anymore to do any damage. All they wanted to do was maybe get the chance to connect their weapons with his scales, in hope to bring some off and take back as a symbol of their power. At any other time, Silverwing would have gotten even more angry, but from each breath he took, it became harder and harder t stand on two feet.

A noise in front of him made him look up; he realised that the spined shadow dragon had landed in front of him and was now coming towards him. He flicked his gaze onto the beast as he called out to him. Watching as the beast took a few more steps.
At the mention of Sandy, he felt his whole body move despite the unbelievable tiredness that had swept over it. Sandy, he thought, recalling the last moment he and her had shared – diving off his back into the midst of the battle, back when they felt they had the strength of a thousand suns. In all the time that had passed, and after what had happened to him, he hadn’t dared to think of what might have become of her. Of course, he trusted that she wouldn’t do anything stupid, and would keep herself safe, even if it meant getting out of the fray, but it would still be nearly impossible to walk away with nothing more than a scratch. Not in this battle anyway.
“Are you sure?” He asked, catching the dragon’s eye. The question of how he knew she was his rider lingered in his head, but he stopped himself from asking. That wasn’t important, not now.
Then he mentioned a healer.
He stared at the dragon for a few seconds, taking in everything he had just said. “A healer?” Even if there were healers, there wouldn’t be one who could do much help to him now, not in this state anyway. Even if there was, then the dragon would have to leave him in order for him to be reached. That would open a gap and surely the Surahnians would take the advantage to attack him again. There was no way he would survive.

When all of a sudden, as if on command, a dragonic being landed a mere hundred feet in front of him and began to speak. Silverwing gave a quick, questioning glance over to the spine dragon. As he brought his gaze back to the new arrival, he was taken aback to see a wave of magic hurtling towards him, and within mili-seconds it had engulfed his body and he felt something appear from beneath his feet.
He gritted his teeth as the odd power washed over him and had to suppress a shiver. Gradually, the pain from his limbs began to ebb away, and he slowly felt the energy draining back into him. He forced his eyes shut in order to deal with the overwhelming experience better, only to open them as the creature spoke again.
“Where is she?” He finally asked, trying to divert his attention from the spiraling lights.

Siofra simply nodded. It was indeed a logical choice and probably the wisest, in some twisted way, because it would simplify matters a lot and they would be so much quicker in doing this than if they were to keep running around on their own two feet, even though she was not too keen on Xavien exposing who he was. A swift escape would be needed though, in case they were detected after all. She felt a light tickling along her spine at his soft smile and his words, wishing they could simply disappear, leave everything behind and just be with each other, but it was not possible, not now. Even though she had seen him change quite a few times by now, it was still making her flinch a little, the sound of the bones was just.. It was quickly forgotten however once he swooped her up into his strong arms and took off with her. Wrapping her arms around him, she leaned completely into him, letting Xavien carry her off without making a move or saying a word. It was a good thing she had a task to concentrate on otherwise this would have sent her heart beating like crazy now.

Feeling his laughter against her, she wondered what the hell it was he had in mind now, though she didn’t have to wait long for the answer as she suddenly heard the loud crash of a window breaking as Xavien flew straight in. She was completely sheltered from any flying pieces however, Xavien protecting her with his own body, making her smile. Once inside, they didn’t lose any time. Siofra immediately wiggled out of his tight embrace and raced around the room checking every single niche, every single chest she could find for the documents they were looking for, but couldn’t find anything. “Damn, they’re not in here,” she cursed, looking at Xavien. “They must be in one of the other towers, but I don’t know which one!” There weren’t that many options, but it could all be hidden in any of them, and it was slightly annoying her that she did not know anything more precise. “This is going to make this just all this bit harder,” she grunted. “We’ll have to be really quick now.” Even quicker than Xavien had probably already intended, but the noise of the battle was growing closer and if they didn’t find these documents fast, they’re were going to run out of time. They had to get this done before anyone could realise what they were actually up to.

Talos could only grin at Lena, knowing that it was true and could hardly imagine having anyone else by his side. "Alright then, we'll grab a few men and head over." He left most of the infantry where it was guarding the main roads and ordered them to build a choke point in the road, grabbing discarded barrels, wagons, and anything else that was bulk and had weight to it to block off streets around the main road that lead to the northern gate. Set up as such, in order to attack the defenders, the Surhinians would have to either move all of that stuff or come charging down the main road in twos in order to get at the farmers. He left a handful of archers on the roofs to provide as lookouts, and took the rest of the archers with him. A squadron of infantry came along as well, and with Talos acting as their eyes in the sky, the small force headed for the Western gate, taking back roads in order to avoid notice.

~¡!¡!¡~

There was something afoot on a massive scale this morning. Arasolra had woken from her slumber with a yawn, scratching at the fallen and vaporized trees she had decided to make her bed in the night before. Someone had burned down half of the forest on the Western coast and it wasn't her, which of course made the Sunblaze exceedingly curious about the nature of whoever it was that had performed such an amazing feat, which of course meant that she was going to try and track them down. Her search had lead her to the previously quiet and rather boring town of Racksom, however, this morning the formerly dull town was alive with all sorts of activity. She could see that things were on fire, which was always a bonus, and rocks were flying through the air along with a couple of rather imposing dragons.

Now, Arasolra had zero interest in matching up against a Guardian dragon, and so simply didn't head their way. Although, the rocks were flying in a South direction, and she most certainly didn't want to be hit by one of those either. Her eyes followed the flight path of the rocks and alighted on the machines flinging them. Curious, she flew high and quiet, soaring over the swarming anthill of a city to where she could get a better look at the rock-flinging devices. She circled them for a time, the machinery some distance from the walls of the city but was in reality no distance at all for a dragon like her to fly. She defended as she circled, checking out the rock throwers and began to notice that not only did the rock throwers throw rocks, but they looked like they were made of rocks and were also operated by rocks. How interesting! Of course, anything that was interesting as it was was always more interesting when set on fire, which is exactly what she planned on doing.

Feeling quite giddy, Arasolra dived for the ground, sucking in a huge breath as she did so and filled her chest with air. The power of fire was at her beck and call, and as she flared her wings to slow her crazy decent, she roared and unleashed the fire that burned in her belly, the flames that she spat out white hot and nearly blinding in their intensity. Certainly enough to melt rock, for many men in armor had simply been melted alive by a lesser blast from the Sunblaze. However, what Arasolra didn't bother to take note of were the open standing vats of oils and some strange concoction of which she could never have guessed the origin. Her flame hit the open pots and all of a sudden everything was turned upside down.

Arasolra's flared wings caught the draft of the explosion, propelling her nearly vertically back into the air and away from her prey, but the damage was done. The oil and the napalm had caught fire, and in one instantaneous second the flammable chemicals exploded, sending fire gouging straight up into the air with an deifying boom and blinding flash of light to accompany the explosion. Arasolra only regained her senses some thousands of feet up in the air where it was hard to breathe and most dragons didn't fly. The sudden flash heat of the fire she had let had propelled her all the way up and singed her tail and head feathers which impressed her very much. Generally as a creature of fire she was unaffected by such things, but the intensity of the explosion had been of a high enough heat that even she had felt a little warm under the collar.

She circled down a little gingerly, her wings sore from being wrenched like they had by the rising current of air and got a look at the amazing distraction she had wrought. If her first blast of fiery breath hadn't melted the golems and the machines that they handled, then explosion had certainly blown them to bits. A raging firestorm rose from where the vats of volatile liquid had been, a tornado of fire arching up into the sky was throwing off an amazing heat, almost white with the intensity of the burn. If dragons could giggle, then Arasolra most certainly was doing just that right now. How beautifully the flames danced! That was just the kind of distraction she wanted!

With a snap of her bannerlike wings, Arasolra turned and headed toward the Western gate. She had seen similar machines of war there by a crowd of humanoids milling about over there, though they were not throwing stones. Maybe, just maybe they had such entertainment over there as well. Perhaps she could glean some more enjoyment from this mass of two-leggeds yet!

Kumiko's head flashed up as she heard the call to flee, and in a second she took in the scene before her. Her legs bent and she pushed off hard, spinning through the air about ten metres up. As the fire raced along below her, she caught the edge of a building's roof and swung herself onto it, remaining there for a second until the fire was gone and she flipped down to inspect Kayoss' new form. She personally thought shi looked a little stupid like that, but there wasn't a whole lot of time to judge appearances because the katanas were swirling round to knock away the mace and sword and then make fleeting attacks of their own. Meanwhile, Kumiko glanced up at the energy flying towards her head. With no mroe than a thought it evaporated. All the while, the two clones were darting around Kayoss and picking at hir like a pair of annoying mosquitoes who kept coming back for more. Sadly for Kayoss, they were better at dodging attacks than mosquitoes. Kumiko smirked as she saw the fiery dragon destroying Kayoss' war machines- that'd probably serve as another distraction for hir. One thing the kitsune did wonder was quite how the split form worked. Presumably a little like her clones, mused Kumiko as the blades danced before her eyes and she mentally inspected how her tails' energy stockpiles were doing.

Static shielded her face from the fire as the two barrels exploded, crouching beside the wagon and drawing her cloak across her body. Through the holes that had been made by war she could see the whole street light up, smoke billowing from the barrels and liquid fire raining from the sky. When the brunt of the heat had dissipated, she stood again, stepping forwards to view the carnage. She saw Kumiko was alright, hanging from the roof of a building- How she had got there, Static had no idea… Their opponent was nowhere to be seen.

Wait… It wasn’t the same dragonic form as before, but a female instead? How was that even possible? The new dragon-woman raged, the smoke clearing around from her, and Static could see that it was indeed the same person as they had been fighting before. She gave a laugh of disbelief, but it cut off as one became two…

She dragged her sword up with both hands to parry the heavy blow that came her way, her arms jarring with the impact. This new opponent was fast with her weaponry, faster than Static ever was- She put up a shield in case her parries were too slow, backing up against the wall behind her. A black beam of magic suddenly came at Static and she felt it slam against her shield, exploding around her shield, crushing it… She hadn’t made it strong enough… She tried to strengthen it now, but it was difficult with such a force on it and she felt herself forced against the wall, the magic burning her with an icy fire only millimetres away.

“Yes, it was a girl, she seemed pre-occupied with finding you… She was hurt but a dragonman healed her, like my leg.” He waved his front leg, showing the dragon his newly fixed scales. If he could fix Rilos’ leg with such ease, then he could do something to help this dragon- even if it was to just fix a few of its more major injuries. It looked ready to drop, a sorry sight for any beast, but for one of the guardian dragons, it was gut-wrenching.

“A healer yes. I um… could go and see if he will come-“ Rilos was cut off as Gorz suddenly appeared, dropping out of the sky without any apparent damage to himself and immediately getting to work. Rilos stepped back as a rune started to shine underneath Silverwing, feeling somewhat perplexed- He was sure just talking about Gorz wouldn’t have summoned him, but how else could he had so aptly gotten there? He dithered for a moment as Gorz made his magic, Silverwing addressing him directly. He turned his head away, feeling suddenly excluded.

As she glanced over at Static, Kumiko saw that the fight wasn't going well for her. She rolled her eyes, and with a complex manouveur she twisted round so that she was facing Static. Directing the power carefully, she siphoned away Kayoss' energy without harming Static's already weak shield. As she felt the bright, crackling energy suffuse her spiritual tails, they glowed briefly before vanishing once more. With a vicious grin, she twisted forwards once more and continued to press her attack down on Dark-Kayoss.

Armeno had ridden around for ten minutes, and been unable to find a cavalry. Eventually, he asked a passing and stressed-looking man yelling at a group of battered fighters. The man frowned at him.
'We ain't got no cavalry.' Armeno frowned, confused.
'But Atleon said-' The man rolled his eyes, exasperated.
'We ain't never had no cavalry. Complain to the prince if you want to, but don't bother me; I got plenty to do.' With that, the man hurried away, herding a group of baffled looking farmers and somebody who looked supiciously like he'd just escaped from being an unexperienced blacksmith's assistant. Not fighters, at any rate. He had noticed a few men on horses earlier, maybe ten. Was that all the DDC had? Shaking his head, he quickly steered back to them and noted that the horses mostly seemed to be captured from Zartear's strays on the streets.
'Are you all the mounted forces?' he asked. They nodded miserably; Armeno noticed a few wounds. 'Right,' he muttered, and quickly led the men to the totem which still emitted waves of blue light. The men seemed to just be makeshift fighters like the rest who had got onto horses. They certainly didn't question his leadership, and he thought he may as well make the best use of them he could. One of them had a sword, three small knives which were certainly not intended as weapons. The rest were armed with pitchforks and spades. He sighed, and quickly scrounged for anything better- a pitchfork was useless in battle. He managed to get them all the level of shovel-type tools, even finding one pickaxe, but that was the best he could do. There was nothing left to be done- the man with the sword could swing it at least, so Armeno set him near the front of the group, then began to lace through the streets and pick on individual soldiers. The one time anyone except him and the man with a sword actually harmed a soldier, he seemed appaulled by his act. Armeno just pressed on- the situation was hopeless, but what else could they do?

Light Kayoss raised an eyebrow a bit, seeing Kumiko leaving their little area they had been in of course. Though heading for what seemed Static. Which indeed Kayoss ahd assumed would happen eventually. But that was all the mroe advantageous. Let alone ocne she tried sapping energy from hir. Oh that was the WORST move to make against Kayoss... Shi grinned, both forms did. Oh indeed gripping the siphoning connection with an iron grip, stopping it up, though only for a moment. Before ebginning to force into it a strange energy. "Such tricks will cost you!" Dark Kayoss shouted with glee.... The energy being forced through wasnt an energy they could tap into. But it was extremely volatile, and harsh... oh it would burn inside them and jar their muscles and wreck their senses. However Light Kayoss dove in at this point as well. The two linked forms grinned, swinging in unison, but so effectively and fluidly... "Time to end this." They both said simply.

The two forms suddenly slid back, into one another. At this, an explosion immediately rocked the place. The ground beneath them suddenly indented, like a force was pushing it in and to all sides strongly... Let alone a Purple and white sphee expelled from the fusing forms, them using the gathered energy to make a wave away from them. Mainly meant to incinerate those who were enar, or knock back anyone at mid-distance. Though Kayos was whole again. Feeling things going on, bad things at that. This wasn't looking too good... Though not in terms of the two before him. Hell he could take them and he knew it. But the battle itself was looking ugly... Touching Atleons' mind rather. ~Bad news bud. All my intelligence and every possible way to do this is lookin futile. IVe got dragons destroying my war machines, which makes no sense to me at all, cuz I thought the dragons were against these fools. But so be it. Plus theres too vast of numbers with more fighting experience in here.~ Shi told him. ~Im gonna have my Chaos-golems construct a few more catapults, though for a different purpose. Im not leavin any of this city behind when we retreat. I wont see the Surahnians have anything worth having... the only thing thatll be left standing is the protected tower with te stone.~ Kayoss told him simply. ~So get everyone worth getting out otu. Ill kill a few more minutes with these two bags of fun I ran into.~ shi told him. Crackling with raw, chaotic energy suddenly... "You two bore me. Time to finish." Shi giggled. Rushing for Kumiko suddenly, a strange fury i nthose eyes... Plus shi was going far, far more faster then before as well. Going to give them a true taste of what they were dealing with, this playing around was just getting... tiresome.

Gorz sighed a bit, pointing where he ahd came from too. "She should be dat way mon." He told Silverwing softly. "Be careful, dont get all banged up like dat again eh?" He winked, but turned to Rilos too. "'Ey! I dunno who you be mon, but I could use a bit of help. Im lookin for my friend Kayoss, Purple and white anthro, like myself." He told him. "Im not da best fighter in dis place, I could use someone with a bit of know-how to escor me dere mon. If ya dont mind? Ill keep you safe." Gorz said with a wink. Pretty ure he could trust this one...

Xavien grunted, standing up. Rather kicking open a couple chests and things, to find whatever they might think tangibly relevent to all this battling. But... nothing. Nothing at all. He shook his head, checking outt he windows. Xavien counted the towers and such that seemed worthy of holding this documentation. He counted a few inconspicuous places too, for he kenw some of the ebst hiding spots were unexpected ones. Xavien looked away, beginning to tap bricks with his sword some, even slicing a wall down to get into the room bside it. Though nothing was i nthere either. "Yeah, this ones a dud." He said softly.

Xavien thought a moment, trying to decipher the best path for this. Though he had a plan... But hearing Siofra he grinned. "Oh we will be quick." He said. Picking her up again, of course after she was ready anyway. Then he bursted through the same window with her. "If I know a human mind at hiding things, itll be in one of three palces." He said to her. Taking off for a second tower, this one a bit smaller then the first they had went to. He growled and covered ehr as they crashed through a window, but Xavien didnt seem to really care as the glass and wood crashed, him having siofra completely safe i nhis arms. He set her down again too, standing and beginning to just tear open boxes and such... plintering chairs in the way. This was a warzone, no need to respect property now...

The half-elf was frowning, wondering where those documents could be and it was annoying her that they would seriously have to start playing hide and seek soon if they didn’t find those documents fast. But it wasn’t helping that she kept thinking this over and over again. “I hope you’re right,” she replied dryly, “because I’m slowly running out of ideas.” Her brain was blocked by worry, and it was frustrating. Not to mention that the rummaging around was making her side ache again but she wasn’t going to let that show. So she simply bit her lip, when Xavien swooped her back up into his arms again and took off, not wanting him to see that she was trying not to gasp. As long as it didn’t start bleeding again, she was fine. Or at least so she kept telling herself, hoping that the magi’s work was not going to be ruined by her actions.

As they crashed through the next window, Siofra immediately made towards the first set of chests she could see, Xavien doing the same, though he seemed to be somewhat more radical. Grinning, Siofra shortly observed him before she turned back to her own task. Her work was silent as she worked herself through drawers, cupboards and chests but nothing. “Oh this cannot be…,” she started but then fell silent as her eyes suddenly fell on an inconspicuous looking dent in the wall. Stepping closer to it, she examined it only briefly before making a decision. “Xavien,” she called, “would you mind giving me a hand?” Pointing towards the dent in the wall, which seemed to be some kind of finger hole to either push open the stones into a secret room, or something of the kind. The quicker way would be Xavien’s however, instead of fiddling around to figure out how to open whatever it was to get to the documents she was hoping where hidden behind these stones.

As Atleon made his way through the streets with his men, for the bigger part unhindered by rebels or other kinds of obstacles, he suddenly frowned and stopped dead in his tracks. Was that really the sound of a baby crying? A cold fear was gripping him when he saw that some of his men were looking into the direction of the sound as well. “They have not all abandoned the city?” Atleon muttered in surprised terror. He could not understand how civilians, especially with small children would be stupid enough to remain within a city that was witnessing a fierce battle. “This cannot be true,” he growled. “You five,” he pointed to some men behind him. “Find that baby, and anyone else that has been stupid enough to remain behind and escort them back to the northern gate. Sweep the houses as much as possible.” Shaking his head, the prince was growing furious at this, he could not let all his men go through every single house to get people out but he could not let those people here either.

It was then that he suddenly felt a presence touch his mind and Kayoss’ voice suddenly was in his ears. Almost roaring furiously, Atleon replied ~Not only yours, not only ours. There are still civilians that are hiding out in their bloody homes. Do NOT destroy everything. We cannot do that! We cannot kill our own people simply so that the Surahnians will not get their hands on the city.~ Atleon was now hurrying through the streets at a quicker pace, soon coming into sight of the middle towers. He needed the documents, desperately, and he needed to dispatch his men now to get a few final things done. ~Kayoss, we will try to get everyone out, but don’t let the city fall into ruin. We can’t!~ He repeated this, hoping he would get through. He had not thought that the people of Racksom were so blinded by their own fear that they wouldn’t know how to react in case of a war, but it seemed as if they had been and Atleon was cursing the fact that things were beginning to slide out of his grasp. Dispatching a few more men to go through another part of the city to evacuate everyone they could find, he kept only half a dozen around himself, sending yet another two small groups to start cutting off any way the rebels could come after them. “The way to the northern gate needs to be destroyed as much as possible. Leave only space where you see fit if there are still some of our people out there.”

As the last waves of magic being blasted at Static reached Jackdaww and Measle before fading, Measle gave a sigh of relief that the woman had moved past. There was something about the enraged fire in her eyes that had chilled him to the bone. Jackdaww seemed less relieved and more annoyed, however. He was brooding to himself over what he would so when she came back for them, and forgot to keep an eye open to the battle around them. Although the retreat had been called, there were still plenty of fights going on, and plenty of rouge soldiers attacking. He was caught completely unaware when one swung at him with their sword. He turned to meet the blade, and it sliced through his left cheek – just below the eye. He screamed, and ripped his own sword out of its sheath to throw a stab in the vague direction of the man. His sight was tinged pink by the veil of blood welling into his left eye, but he needed to keep it open to stand any chance of surviving that battle.

Measle hadn’t realised what was happening, and was simply keeping his eye on Static and the stranger fighting her. This newcomer seemed much more dangerous, and if either turned on them they were in deep trouble. He kept his focus, and never thought to turn around to face Jackdaww.

Jackdaww finally managed to make a decent swing, his sword curling gracefully around to bite into the man’s waist. As his opponent doubled over in pain, he had time to stand up and gather his wits enough to take up a fighting pose. He dealt another volley of blows to the man’s arms and waist, before the man staggered around to wield his weapon again. Jackdaww swung his sword, the ruby glittering through the blood smeared across the sword, to meet that of his opponent. The swords gave off brilliant sparks as they clashed and slid past each other, before Jackdaww managed to strike a death blow to the man’s jugular. The sword tumbled down – rushing past Jackdaww’s own, and sliced the back of Jackdaww’s hand, before landing at his feet. Jackdaww sighed, and slumped to the ground by Measle, catching his breath and wiping his face. The wound stung like fire, but the adrenaline surging through his veins relieved a little of the pain.

Elsewhere, Starling had decided that it was time for her to leave. “I’m sorry, but I’ll have to leave this godforsaken place soon.” She said to Mask, “Good luck finding your own way out.” She said. She may have only just met him, but she felt like the two of them shared one mind over the whole battle. She hoped that she would run into him again, as she unfurled her wings. Leaping like a cat, she spiralled upwards until she was high over the city – beating her wings to gain altitude, and glided across the battlefield. She could see the DC army leaving, and presumed they must have ordered a retreat. She gave a laughing call that echoed through the city walls, and a little of the battlefield around them, and landed on the top of a tower. She could see the entire battlefield from there, but in turn the whole of the battlefield could see her.

Static felt her shield crushing down more and more, and she started to panic- it wouldn’t hold for much longer now, and the energy against it seemed limitless. Luckily for her (although she wouldn’t have guessed that Kumiko ever would have), the kitsune came to her aid. She felt the pressure on her shield slowly lift, and she strengthened it as she gained the ability to send more power to it. It was like she had been being slowly suffocated by Kayoss. She was still backed against the wall, and powerless to run, but at least she could defend now. She took a moment to strengthen her shield properly again, letting Kumiko take care of Kayoss.

A shiver of apprehension ran through Static at both of Kayoss’ forms spoke at the same time. Whatever they (She? He?) was about to do sounded like it was going to come off badly. Before she could move, the two became one, and the world turned upside down again. The ground dropped beneath her feet and she fell to her knees, banging the knuckles on her sword hand through her glove. A purple light filled the street and she threw herself to her stomach, screeching again as pain exploded up her side, and a wave of heat and energy flew over her head and back, scorching even through the shield she still kept up. Her hood blew back off her head and turned into a charred mess, the rest of her cape disintegrating into ashes that spun up the side of the building and into the air like black insects. Her back burned with heat through her chainmail.

When it was over, she lifted her head wearily, pinching out a smoking end of her hair. Her side burnt with a fire inside, and even this small movement made more pain shoot up her side. If she could hardly move to put out her hair, how was she going to stop Kayoss if he attacked again?

Kumiko smirked as she felt the crushing shield Kayoss set up around himself, to prevent her tapping his energy. She wasn't stupid- if she took energy from him she'd be open to anything he wanted to do to her mentally or spiritually while she took the energy. She was only taking the energy he shot out, the chaotic energy. As the ground dropped away, she bared her teeth and spun down into her fox form. She rolled twice, tails curled between he legs and head in, before getting back to her feet and morphing back to human. She quickly sucked up the massive orb of energy making a beeline for her, gasping involuntarily as it was absorbed into her tails. All nine appeared solid for a moment before the six spiritual tails vanished as normal. Kumiko mentally grimaced, but it didn't show on her face as the katanas added up and easily blocked Kayoss. A wave of aching pain flowed down her arms where they had been hurt in the fall, and her hair flared scarlet in response before settling back to the deep red hue it had been displaying previously. She wasn't much given to thanking things, but now she did- she thanked the spirit of the six-tailed kitsune she had defeated two thousand years ago. It might be the only thing keeping her in good shape for now.

Lena nodded, following after Talos. She was tired, and her body wanted to simply rest but she knew if she did, she would not be getting back up. She kept an eye on Talos’ back, noting the wounds he had received. She frowned, how on Earth were they supposed to keep going like this? She was quickly pulled out of her thoughts when the sound of a blast stopped her mid flight. She turned just in time to see the explosion beyond the gate and then the creature that caused it. Her eyes widened, “Talos, that fire dragon is here…Let’s get out of the air before she notices us.” She called over to him, already making her way to the ground where they troops were.

~*~*~*~*~

Lotharia picked her way through the thing forest nearing the city of Racksom. Her feathery tail moved silently behind her as she trotted along the forest floor. She clearly felt the pain resonating from the city walls and the cries of pain simply could not be ignored anymore by the sensitive dragon. She had rarely seen humans, or any other creature for the fact and it was due to who elusive her kind was. She carefully saw a large gate, having been the west gate. There were people many people around it and her tail flicked in uncertainty. She kept herself hidden a while yet before looping around to find a hole in the gate. Her pale pink body didn’t exactly blend well into the crumbled city but people were busy moving this way and that, so Lotharia had no problem getting into the city.

Her heart twisted in pain at the amount of sorrow in the city. She trotted along silently until she found a group standing in the middle of the road. There were two people with wings and the rest she assumed humans. How interesting…. Her curiosity got the better of her as she moved out behind a building that was still standing. They were hurt…

Lena looked up to see yet another dragon making their way over to them and she touched Talos’ shoulder. “Another dragon?!” Lena moved her hand on the hilt of her sword, honestly not ready to battle yet another beast.

Lotharia paid no mind to Lena and her odd anger towards her and carefully walked over to Talos. She hovered her large head near him and then nosed his wings taking care to stay away from the burns. Her head bobbed curiously as her red eyes met with his. You are in pain. She tried to convey to him and then gently pushed her nose into the tip of his burnt wing. Lotharia had the strong gift of healing and wanting nothing more than to take some of the pain from this city. It was over bearing. She kept her nose against his wing tip for a moment, feeling the warmth of her magic flow into and around him and pulled back only once all his wounds were healed.

Lena watched the dragon, she had never seen this one before and with her track record with them she didn’t exactly plan on trusting any new ones. She watched in awe as the wounds on her husband were healed and she lowered her hand against her side. “Talos?”

Held up in the moment, ordering all the menial tasks to now begin, it was quite a while before Zartear could address Cato truly, and yet, things were as urgent as they had been to begin with. Peasants these enemies were, but they seemed to have a few assets among them too stirring havoc.
And now Bow Master Cato spoke to him,
"That is good." He spoke simply, but he seemed distracted, as if tracing something through the sky, a missile hurtling forward painting a blazed trail behind.
It didn't seem to hit it's mark, crashing with a bone rattling explosion into a southern portion of the city, the screeches of peasants in it's aftermath hailing to the deaths caused.

Zartear glowered to nobody in particular, what kind of stupidity was this?
Aside from the issue that there was only a single swordsmith in Racksom, how under this sky could Racksom produce a siege engine? What was the goal to this destruction? It seemed entirely contrary to reason...He wondered if they had meant to hit his group - thus killing him- squarely, or perhaps to destroy a wall, or upset the city in general, whatever the aim, it would be ineffective.
Was there just one of these machines or maybe more? The latter, he thought.
Whatever it was it made no sense to Zartear; didn't the fools of the DDC realise they were murdering countless of their own?
Zartear was responsible for ordering the death of thousands already, but this was indiscriminate.

"I change your orders Cato," He looked to him, the picture of seriousness, "Withdraw troops from raiding the streets, I want the forces to fortify the gates, but use caution when on the wall garrison on the opposing face to the catapults...Nobody must leave or enter the city. Go now, General."
He finished speaking, and he didn't even shout the order despite all the want of speed, and the message had still yet to rattle down the chain of command.

The DDC were showing very mixed opinion, without a true hierarchy they were divided in what to do, were they assaulting or retreating? Chaos had spread it's ugly tendrils through their ranks and now threatened to cause as much disruption as possible to his own.

As if on perfect cue, the sound of hefty, powerful wing-beats blotted out the continual war-noise, stirring up wind around them, and then Zartear saw the Tribal Battle Blood had returned. It must have returned to bathe in the blood of all the innocents here, but as it descended bit by bit, it's bulky body becoming like a falling cloud of volcanic ash, Zartear saw that it sought him out and it wanted to know of one with dragons blood...
An idea hit him, and he faced up to the dragon. He'd have to be careful all the same, who dared to bargain with this kind of a demon?

"Hail Dragon, won't you stay a while and watch my enemies bleed gloriously?"
He stalled, wanting to gauge his potential opponent, or perhaps useful ally.
If luck was on his side he might convince the dragon to give up chasing Felren for a while, and instead carve a nice path of misery through the enemy "formations" if that's what you could even call them.
"What's one mans blood worth to the blood of hundreds? Are you interested?"
Zartear reached for the charred stick tied at his waist, he had had enough of standing mostly stationary in this fight, he now needed to make things truly definite and final, because the Surahnians, HIS people and HIS true nation were by no means coming from overseas all that way away to claim a barren island and be beaten down by pathetic men wielding pitchforks and hammers.
The weak souls of this island, would learn to love the power he could bring and he would love the power they would give him.

Talos kept a look out for soldiers as he and Lena guided the small band of infantry toward the Western gate. When the explosion happened, his head whipped up and around, watching with the slightest bit of horror as the space in front of the Northern gate went up in flames, the towering inferno brightening the morning sky like mid-noon during the flare. He hardly heard Lena call to him, his gaze focused on the red and gold dragon that defended from high in the sky and started heading around the wall toward the Western gate. Suddenly, going over there didn't seem like such a great idea if they were going to be confronting that monstrosity. He followed Lena to the ground without hesitation, having heard the story of how Mai had narrowly escaped dying due to the sadistic tendencies of that particular dragon.

Once on the ground he felt all of his weariness again, his wingtip aching at the movement and he had to struggle not to wince. To the curious looks of the infantry, he drew a breath, preparing to speak to them. "There's a dragon who seems to be against us heading our way. We need to keep out of sight if we want to survive. If it spots us, then we head back toward the Northern gate and hope it looses interest." Not the most encouraging speech he had ever made, but it was the truth, and in all honesty, it was all that they could do. Hopefully, the red dragon hadn't aligned itself with the Surhinians and was now coming over to blast the infantry stationed at the Western gate for it's own amusement. He was about to tell their little shock squad to move out when Lena's startled observation of a new dragon had him turning around, ready to defend himself incase something popped out of the alley way to attack him. Everyone else tensed up as well, pointing whatever weapons they had on hand at the dragon as it came closer to their little group.

Something in the dragon's gaze stilled him, however, and he removed his hand from the hilt of his sword, watching the pink and white dragon approach him with gentle silent steps. He heard the dragon's thoughts softly in his head, and tensed slightly at the contact. Tegan and Lyrian had spoken to him like that before, but he was still unused to the concept of being able to hear someone else's thoughts inside his head. He watched with a certain amount of curiosity as the dragon nosed his burned wingtip, then suddenly felt warmth flow all over his body. It was soothing in a way, and even as he watched he could see the burned tip of his wing revitalize and felt the arrow holes and other nicks all close up all over his body. He sighed with relief when all the nagging pain was gone. He smiled and gestured for his men to stand down, reaching back and touching Lena's arm. "It's alright. This one is friendly." He turned back to the dragon and gave it a respectful nod. He'd never seen a dragon of it's likeness before, and took a moment to simply look at it. It really was a beautiful creature. "Thank you for your help. Would you heal the others as well?"

~¡!¡!¡~

Arasolra headed for the Western gate, the milling group of men below looking like a fine target indeed. Perhaps they concealed the same explosive qualities? Although she saw no stone creatures here, only regular fleshy humans in armor. She defended on the wooden war machines, blowing fire on one that burst into a beautiful wreath of fire. The humans that were closest to it cried out when she came close and retreated away. She was much less impressed with the explosive quality of these war machines, and before long she had to contest with the stinging pointy things called arrows flying through the air and battering at her thickened skin. She snapped her jaws and blew a short burst of flames before taking back off into the sky, deciding that it wasn't worth the trouble. The explosion at the other gate was much more impressive, and she didn't have to deal with the little humans that actually defended their property. With a huff, she got out of bow range and headed for the center of the city, taking stock of what was going on.

The big Battle Blood was still hovering near the southern gates, the guardian still perched near the fire that she had caused in the North, the flames nearly reaching the wooden doors of the gates up there. So, she wouldn't be going to either of them, having no wish to engage in battle with a foe that could actually put up a fight. Maybe later, but not right now. Something below in the city attracted her eye, and as she hovered she saw more explosions happening down in the streets. But they weren't fiery explosions, more like the kind that produced multi-colored lights. How interesting! Extending her wings, Arasolra let herself glide to where she saw the flashing lights, watching with interest as things blew up in the square where some sort of fight appeared to be taking place. When she arrived on the scene, she saw three people in the square and decided to ignore two of them completely. One looked half dead already, though had an interesting light show going on, the other looked more or less like a normal human. However, the third had her curiosity, which meant that she would like to also see it on fire.

"Little bitty dragon, I've never seen something like you before." She grinned, fire curling from the corners of her mouth and disappearing in smoke in the air. Arasolra landed with a crash, her weight easily breaking the small stone houses that the humans dwelled in crushing under her weight and falling in rubble. Her tail whipped back and forth in excitement, her eyes locked on the two-legged dragon thing fighting with the human. "Let's play."

Lotharia bobbed her head back, inspecting her work on the strange winged human. She briefly thought they were lucky to be able to fly but let the notion pass her as she was asked to heal the rest of the group. To ease their pain would be my pleasure. Her voice was soft, melodic even as she looked at the group of men and the one woman in the group. This one is special to you. She commented with no hint of anything to her voice as her gaze settled on Lena.

Lena would trust Talos that the dragon wasn’t going to harm them but it was obviously having a conversation with Talos. “If you trust it…” Lena stepped forward to look at the ethereal looking creature. “Talos, have you ever seen a dragon like this?” She asked, looking at the feathery tail and pink tones.

Lotharia stepped forward and bent her head to Lena’s leg. She nudged at the bandaged. “What? You want me to take them off?” Lena asked, moving to pull away the bandaged slick with blood. They weren’t much use now anyways. She didn’t fully understand why it would talk with Talos and not herself but she figured there was a reason. As she let the cloth drop on the ground Lotharia moved to put her snout against the hole in her leg from the arrow. Lena nearly jumped back when the warmth flooded her body and she relaxed visibly when the sharp throbbing pains stopped in her leg and on her head. “Thank you…” She mumbled and bowed her head in respect and moved back to Talos’ side.

Lotharia easily moved about the rest of the troops healing their bumps, scratches, and more serious wounds. The gentle dragon finished healing the small band within a few minutes and was glad she was able to take some of the pain from them. Her tail swished back and forth though made no sound.

Kayoss grunted and swung, swinging continuously, only stopping to parry strikes from anywhere shi could reach, either with hir tail or hir blades. This was carrying on too damn long and shi knew it, this had to stop. Shi felt another coming hir way too. Therefore, this definenly had to end. Two shi could take with this power, but three? No, that would end up too much in hir current state, shi would need to open her potential completely. which was something shi did not want to pull out, not if Atleon wanted people to live in this town anyway... the place wuld go to ruin if shi did. Hearing Atleon didnt help hir none either. HOW did he think this place could be saved? There was just no way in hell it could happen, not at this rate. They weren't strong enough as a team! Heart and soul could carry an individual very far, but it took intelligence, war know-how and strength which quite frankly, DDC was lacking badly by this point. Aside from him and Gorz and a few others, they had... farmers for soldiers. It was unacceptable against invaders like this.

Hir mind kept at Atleons easily in the midst of battle too. ~Don't be foolish friend! Your people are dying. Get as many out as possible! For if I myself aint gonna blow this whole place to smithereens, then the battle im in currently will probably do so anyway. Heed my warnings please, for there is little I can do to stop the tread of fate now.~ Shi told him softly. Shi just had a feeling in hir gut, uit was gonna happen anyway. With the size of the dragon heading at hir... hir feeligns were confirmed too. Rather hir head stirred a bit, a third eye opening on it? It wasnt an... eye exactly. But it loooked like a violet, crystalline eye nonetheless. It opened upon hir forhead, then glowed brightly... Kayoss tapping into hirself quite a bit deeper now. Shi knew shi was going to need it agains tthe upcoming behemoth. It likely was very bad news for the oens she already was fighting though, hir speed increasing fairly dramatically, hir strength escalatign with it. "Get- The- Hell- back- GRAAH!" Kayoss swung with each word, swinging for vitals now, arteries to cause death at, at the neck and heart too, parrying just about anything which came at hir all the while. The last part though, the ground came up beneath her opponents as shi jumped back, flipping away. The ground propelled by chaotic force, hoping to just throw them very far away from hir... for well, it seemed shi had someone new to reckon with.

Kayoss' sensory was wide, keeping an eye on the two shi had just hoped to fling away from hir. Tilting hir head, this dragon was a curious thing. Why was it fighting for the opposte side? Then again it didnt seem to care about either side, it was just there to fight? "A strange one you are, to be fighting those standing for what you are." KAyoss said softly. Seeming to consider, the two swords she carried quivered a bit. "A foolish decision too, bringing such a proposal to me." Shi said, hir pupils vanishing in the glow of hir eyes. Hir swirds suddenly multiplied... three there in each hand where one once was. Those shi shifted them slightly, locking the hilts between her fingers. Looking like shi had huge claws now in fact, pulses of chaotic magic holding the blades there too. "Ive no time for games... but.... I do have time for you." Kayoss said, grinning. Letting the dark half grip just a bit more of hir mind, wanting hirself energized, ready to destroy, ready to slaughter... Shi couldn't fight hir own kind with a righteous mind now could shi?

Xavien frowned, considering places this kind of documentation could indeed be hidden. Although that was slightly difficult... Opening odd desks and anything box-like that could be opened at all. Though finding nothing at all that held his interest, or looked useful. Let alone what Siofra wanted to find either. This city was quite immense, this ahd to be found. He was a fast flyer, but still, s many palces it could be hidden. whcih place was it truly?

Although it seemed Siofra found something good with this. Smiling a bit, Xavien went to her, interested. He chuckled a bit, seeing the indentation. "I sure will. "he told her, gripping the holes to seem to grip the brick with. Then he growled and pulled, hard as he could. Breaking the bricks altogether and just yanking whatever was lodged in out of the wall for that matter. "There we go, simple as that." He said softly. He hoped whatever it was She sought was in this drawer. He did not want to be in this tower when Kayoss decided to blow stuff up. For well, it woul be bad. Well, if he blew stuff up but knowing Kayoss, it was bound to happen. "Well lets hope thats it. We need to move quick and precise, lest we risk bein seen and exposed." He told her, smiling a bit though. Damn she was beautiful, he couldn't help but notice that really...

Kumiko's eyes widened as she saw the dragon land, and she laughed at Kayoss' new desperation. It made no difference; though the aches still throbbed in her back, the katanas kept up a relentless dance, occasionally almost slipping out of Kumiko's grasp. She frowned; that was the downside to her blades. But at that moment the ground flipped up, and she was almost sent flying into the ground again; instead, a clone ran under her and took the force with a crunch which made Kumiko groan as she felt the pain of a broken spine. It soon passed, though, and Kumiko straightened. She couldn't tap the energy Kayoss was using to hold his swords, it was still connected to him and she'd be vulnerable, but she had her katanas, and they swiftly got to work stabbing at Kayoss' distracted head. Kumiko glanced at the dragon, wondering what the creature's plan was.

Measle sighed aloud as the general attention of the battlefield was drawn to the new dragon. No one was likely to look at the abnormally small purple dragon sheltering a wounded human when there was a much larger one there, or so he hoped. His initial reaction was to let himself relax, but he realised almost immediately that it was unwise. The appearance of this dragon meant just one more potential enemy. He wrapped his tail around Jackdaww defensively – who was still tending to his injured cheek – and made sure the pair were ready to fight or run in the case of an attack.

Jackdaww felt Measle’s tail tighten around him, and looked at the new dragon with his good eye. The other was tight shut, and blood was welling up inside his damaged tear duct. He could see that the dragon was much bigger than Measle, but didn’t feel much of a threat. It seemed to care little about them, and was preoccupied with watching Kayoss. He still followed suit with Measle, however, and loosened his sword in its sheath just in case it turned their way.
