Oh yes, she definitely hit a nerve, lovely... "Well, if it's a someone you're looking for, likely enough you'll find them on this side of the Everbridge somewhere. We're going to Harglen from here, and then from there we're going to Jiluria so I doubt you'll stay that long. Jiluria and Kaionar are the places we dislike visiting the most for our performances since things sometimes turn up missing. But money is money, and running this place takes a good deal of it so skipping cities isn't likely to happen." She busied herself with fixing up her spare bed and glanced over when she was done. "More tea, Kassandra?" Okay, hitting a nerve was a vast understatement, she might have just sent the girl into shock. She got a second cup of tea and sat down by her guest with a somewhat cheery smile. "Have you ever seen tiger cubs before? We just got three or four recently and they're tiny little balls of fluff!"

She set the cup down and stood up. "Come on, you'll love them they're positively adorable!" She then proceeded to try and pull the woman to her feet. "We've got a couple of really friendly dragons as well, not too big but big enough that we can't keep them in the beast tent. One's an antler dragon the other's a shade runner, and they're both fluffy as long-haired kittens." Felix whined a little when Silence tried to get the girl to stand, as he was just about to lay across the woman's lap and hopefully get petted. "Sorry Felix, perhaps a little later." she teased. Hopefully it wouldn't be too crowded or she knew Kassie would have issues.

Kassandra really, really hoped she would find Armeno by the Everbridge- at the same time, she still was confused as to whether she even did want to see him or not. It was all so difficult. She listened to Silence’s chattering absentmindedly, nodding every so often as if she were paying attention, still staring at the bottom of her mug. Ah, too many thoughts. They weren’t good to dwell on.

“Oh, uh, no. Thanks.” She had to be pulled out of her reverie to answer, probably a good thing to be distracted. The first cup of tea had already burnt the inside of her mouth; she could not see the second lasting any longer than the first. She looked around a little and set down her mug, lacing her fingers together briefly for want of a better place to put them. Such didn’t last long though, what with Silence’s sudden insistence on showing her the circus.
Well, it was a circus. An exciting place, there was so much to see! Still hesitant, she flinched a little at her forward motions, then let herself be pulled up, taking her hands away. “What are… tigers?”
She had never been to the rainforest, nor had she ever seen a circus. Her reading was poor, and who cared to educate a poor Quinsillan about exotic animals? She could hardly wonder at what a tiger was- some sort of… of strange furry ball?- before Silence continued and Kassandra shook her head suddenly at that.
“Dragons? I don’t think dragons are a good idea. They might be friendly, but not towards me.” She would bet on that. Any dragon was a thing to be wary of, from past experience.
Well, perhaps not scroll dragons, but…
“They’re not by these tigers, right?”

"They wander at their leisure, though usually they make the rest of our animals rather antsy so usually they stay away from there. Hell's teeth I've hardly seen a person either of them didn't like. Either I'm completely wrong about you or you have no self-confidence: frankly I'm hoping for the latter." At any rate she escorted her guest to the enclosure they kept the tigers in and smiled. "The large one is their mother, Rimegon probably knows her name but he's not told me." She carefully moved to the locked gate on the side of the cage and coaxed one of the cubs over before opening the gate and lifting it out, re-locking after doing so. "Say hello to Miss Kassandra." The squirming cub looked so strange in her arms, but eventually it calmed down and gazed at the other woman with wide eyes and perked ears.

"This is just a baby, one of I believe three or for cubs in total for the litter. Pet him if you wish, hopefully he'll sit still for you." she stated with a laugh. This was the quietest of the cubs, but also the largest for his age, and he'd proven to be quite affectionate for a tiger cub still teething. The little fluffball yawned exhibiting what would soon become a dangerous set of teeth, but for now were only good at gnawing on bones and eating soft foods. It made some sort of sound and pawed at the woman opposite Silence and flicked his tail back and forth. "Aww see? He wants you to pet him." Convincing someone to do something merely took patience, but in this case with a can of worms for a guest there was no telling what she'd do.

“I thought you wanted me to stay, not walk right out of here.” Kassandra narrowed her eyes at Silence. Although she had, it was true, lost a lot of her confidence, she had lost none of her fire. Comments like that made her bristle. And what would a comment like that serve to help her self-confidence, if it were meant to? There was still the option of turning around and walking right out of there, but she begrudgingly followed Silence; it wasn’t as if she could do much else. She had nowhere else to go.

Whatever a tiger turned out to be, it was definitely not what she had expected. She eyed the creature nervously, taking a well note of its teeth and claws. It had such strange markings over its sides, bright- not like any animal that lived in places she had been, not the cool forests around Quinsilla and Racksom, or the bare hills of the Everplains leading to the foothills of the mountains and Tarz. The rest of Dragons’ Cove, she could not speak for, but she did not doubt that such a creature came from somewhere too far to even understand.
Although it seemed quiet enough, Kassandra was the nervous type, and even an animal as small as this… she kept her hands to herself.
“This is a baby?” It was already the size of a small dog, how big did they get? Her voice was incredulous, and suddenly she didn’t like the idea of touching this thing at all any more. What did its mother and father look like; how much bigger must they grow? She pressed her fingers together anxiously, peering around Silence to the cage and taking a very firm step back when she saw an animal that must have been ten times the size of the one in the girl’s arms.

"She's in a cage and isn't too eager to get out, Kassandra. You're perfectly safe." She adjusted the cub in her arms carefully, not wanting him to decide to gnaw on her for any reason. "Their fur is really soft, and if I'm holding one and I'm not getting mauled, I'm sure you'll be alright just petting it on the head." She tried to give Kassie 'the pout' with wide eyes and turned the cub to face her. "The little ones aren't dangerous, they're just cute and like to play and cuddle, like house cats." Of course it helped that the orange bundle of cuteness was purring and swishing his little striped tail trying to get Kassie's attention. It wasn't as if she was asking the woman to hold him, just a little pet on the head to prove she had nothing to fear. "If you notice the mother getting a little antsy it's just a normal reaction to someone she doesn't know approaching her babies, maternal instincts and all that."

The fluffy cat continued to be as darling as possible to get attention and finally Silence gave in and cuddled him. "He's the quiet one, his siblings are much more energetic and will be tougher to handle." His siblings were romping around in the cage next to their mother, who was majestically lounging in the corner of the cage, the very end of her tail twitching as she surveyed this new woman in her domain. This newcomer was wary of getting anywhere near her cub despite the younger girl cuddling him, and she wasn't even raising a fuss over her! Either she was a more imposing cat than she thought, or this woman was just terrified of her entirely. It didn't matter so long as she didn't harm her precious little one, but it was still amusing.

Kassandra didn’t feel perfectly safe, but when did she ever feel comfortable around others? Most of the time she didn’t even feel comfortable in her own company alone! When there was a bloody great big tiger waiting not two feet away from her, all claws and teeth and angry motherly instinct telling her to act against Kassandra, it wasn’t much incentive to go cuddling her sons and daughters.
“Isn’t there something less likely to try and claw away at the first person that gets close?” She twisted her hands together underneath her cloak as Silence gave the tiger cub what it wanted, glancing away nervously around them out of habit she had picked up. Surprisingly for her, what she longed for was something decidedly normal, that would be normal to find in any pack of travellers; horses, small tents that weren’t painted the most garish colours in the spectrum, a campfire that was there, but there was no obligation to sit by. Here, she felt a little pressured into taking part in whatever it was Silence seemed to suddenly have lined up for her.

"You don't know much about animals do you? All babies do something like that, even human babies. They tug on hair, chew on things, and generally make a fuss when you take things from them. Besides if I'm sitting here holding this little guy and his momma's not having an episode, you should be fine petting him. If you don't want to I suppose I'll let her have him back." She put the cub back in the enclosure and casually locked everything up before turning to Kassandra. "You're free to wander as you please among the attractions and places where visitors aren't permitted are marked. You're also free to part ways with us as you see fit, just let us know so we can say good-bye." She pointed out some of the cuddlier creatures they kept like a few sheep, some fluffy chickens, and small goats as part of their petting zoo.

"These I know are all harmless if you want something that won't maul you." The chickens scuttled and fluttered about trying to avoid the goats and the sheep bleated for attention and nibbled bits of feed and assorted food from children's hands and the goats tried to push everything else out of the way to get some attention themselves. "The goats might nibble your clothes but that's just what they do."

Kassandra knew enough about animals, but she wasn’t about to get into an argument with Silence. She didn’t think her poor scrambled head could take it, and she knew her ears certainly couldn’t. Silence was anything but mild when you crossed tongues with her. She wanted to have a bit of peace and quiet, get out of Tarz, and sort out her head.

==X==

It was perhaps a week later, and the circus was not far from Harglen, the next large-ish town on their route. It had been… well, an interesting experience for Kassandra; not all good, but not all bad either. She had strictly refused to do any sort of /entertainment/ work, staying far out of the way on the nights that the circus performed their acts, but was getting along well enough with the less sociable work, helping pack up each day they moved on, doing her fair share of guarding the long train of carts and wagons as they moved, and tending to the animals as and when they required an extra hand, especially when the horses were involved. Silence of course went about her normal life, bar the slight hiccup Kassandra made staying with her.

It was early evening, the sun starting to set in the east but not yet low enough to send orange light up into the blue of the sky, or turn the pale corn gold from green. Still warm enough to sit outside without too much trouble, most of the circus performers and troubadours had taken to such pursuits; there was nobody to perform to tonight, they were on the road still and Harglen was a good day’s walk away yet. Some were practising their arts, but most were taking the night as it was; a night off.

Kassandra sat outside Silence’s caravan on the grass, less sociably than the rest not far away, but close enough to hear the odd wafts of conversation blown across by the light breeze as she methodically emptied her saddlebags out onto her cloak in front of her, taking an inventory of what she had and what she was lacking. She was certain she did not have everything she normally carried, she had left Tarz in a relative hurry, and in Harglen she might be able to pick up those things missing, if she had enough spare coin. She had hardly gotten anywhere with emptying them though before her hand closed around something unfamiliar, cold and delicate to the touch. Pulling it out, she held it up in front of her and shook it out a little, turning it this way and that to see what it was. Was it a necklace? It looked much too elaborate for that, there were too many nuances and joins to it.
Well it certainly wasn’t hers, that was a fact, as she laid it out in the palms of her hands and tried to make some sense of it.

There was a certain tingling in the palm of her hand that just felt...strange. It was then that she noticed one of her crystals was missing and immediately panicked. She started searching everywhere for it and felt a strong static charge surge through her body suddenly. Impulsively she ran off to find Kassandra and ask if she'd seen her missing item, since the girl lived with her. "Kassandra, one of my crystals has gone missing!" Another shock and everything felt so very wrong. "The one I still have is giving off electricity like a lightning bolt and keeps shocking me. I can't understand what's going on with it." It didn't occur to her that Kassandra dealt with electricity, or that they were each holding half of a crystal that was supercharged with unpredictable magic.

Usually they sparked and threatened to scorch her, what was going on here? "Have you seen something that looks like this lately?" she inquired showing her the one she was wearing. It was shortly after the last shock that she noticed her guest holding what appeared to be her other crystal. "Where'd you find that? Has it sparked and had fits from being held yet? Usually it sparks and spits and tries to burn me." Sounded almost like a cranky pet the way she talked about it, but it was all true.

The object Kassandra had found was quite fascinating, delicate like things she might only have been able to gawk at through a shop window, never be able to touch or even, dare think it, own such an item. She passed it over her hands a few times, noting how the longer she touched it, the warmer it seemed to become, moreso than it should have been for just being held. It was quite warm outside, but not so much to heat even metal this hot, was it?
Perhaps she had left her bag in the sun; that would explain it away.

She looked up sharply to see Silence suddenly hailing her from a distance, quite upset about something. Letting the strange glittery object drop into her lap, she frowned a little to see her so frantic, her eyes darting from side to side as she unconsciously searched for the root of the problem.
“No, I, no.” She answered before she had hardly thought of the answer, quick to pass off any blame that might have been put on her. Then, the answer should have been yes, of course. She shook her head, then nodded, picking up the glove in all her nervousness for suddenly being caught short. “I mean, yes. It was just in my bag, I swear…” She looked to Silence’s hands and her own matching pair, then opened her mouth a little in surprise. “Oh, it’s a glove!” Well, that explained the strange shape. Turning her head a little to look better, she looked at her own, then shook it onto her hand from where she was holding it, to see the shape better. Only for a moment, then she would give it back. What harm could it do?

The surprise and curiosity that Kassie was exhibiting was just enough to make her smile and overlook the fact that she had her other glove in the first place. "They're pretty tough to figure out I-" She stopped mid sentence to find herself receiving electric jolts seemingly from nowhere. "That's not normal. . ." The second jolt was just as painful and surged through her arm like a rabid parasitic infection and she dropped her glove on the ground as soon as her hand quit spasming from the current passing through it. She cringed and looked at Kassie, a bit of confusion on her face. "I hope it doesn't cause you any damage, Kassandra, since the one I just dropped sent a huge charge through me." Hopefully this was just a freak accident and nothing further would come of it, but there was a sinking feeling that this wouldn't blow over so quickly.

Kassandra looked curiously at the glove she now wore on her hand as Silence didn’t take any sudden movement to snap and her and snatch it back, turning it to admire the bright crystal sitting in the centre of her palm. Her casual interest didn’t last for long though, her wide eyes tightening around the edges suddenly and her hand shaking as the metal suddenly grew burning hot to the touch, like it was suddenly imbibed with fire magic, someone intent to hurt her. She yelped and scrabbled to have it off, fingers twitching madly until she managed to claw it off onto the grass next to Silence’s, looking up at the girl from where she sat to see her also cringing away from her own.
“What was that?” Her eyes flicked from the pair of gloves laying now innocently on the grass, then to Silence, then to fearfully inspect her hand all over. Her hands were not in the best condition by way of her magic taking quite the toll (she was sadly not as immune to it as she might have liked, although there was no way around using it when keeping it all cooped up inside her every day made her feel even more rotten), scarred and scratchy, but the sudden heat from the glove had seemed to do nothing to her. Strange.

She curled her hands in towards her palms and shuffled away half a pace from the gloves, eyeing them distrustfully now. “When you said they spark and spit… what did you mean?”

"They sparked and spat with me because I possess fire magic. Those crystals are neutral magic and never quite affect me the same way twice. They gave me a couple of electric jolts I don't really understand why. . ." Whatever it was, she was figuring out fast that it wasn't just something that would go away after a minute or two, it would take a serious act of magic to get this reversed. "It didn't hurt you though, right?" Did she have Kassie's powers now...? How would she handle this if it was permanent? She'd gotten a hint of what the woman was going through at least with the electricity, but for the love of all things decent it must be hell on a regular basis!

"You got any trick to showing off what you can do? I can breathe fire, how do you show off?" She was trying to find a way to see if she still had her powers, but there was a nagging feeling that she didn't.

”Fire magic?” So that explained the intense heat she had felt from the glove, if it made any sense… had there been some strange link through the two, so Kassandra had felt Silence’s magic, and… and the other girl had somehow felt Kassandra’s? It seemed out of the question, but magic worked in mysterious ways, and the more she thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. Whatever way, she certainly wasn’t going to touch those gloves again in a hurry.

She folded her arms around her knees and scowled, uncomfortable with the situation completely now. “I don’t show off,” she said grumpily, wholly unhelpful on the subject. “It’s not something I want to do, magic just… it just happens sometimes.” Otherwise it started to hurt, and she’d rather use it up than be forever jumping around like she had a bee up her backside, so charged up with magic. “But…” There was one thing. She twisted her hands so the palms faced one another, then concentrated, thinking to make a little floating ball of electricity in the middle of them…
Instead, a long plume of fire shot from each hand, engulfing both for a moment before she screamed and shook them both out, scrabbling away again and scrubbing her hands hard against the grass, as if it might put out the flames. But, there was nothing- not even burns- when she stopped her frantic rubbing and actually looked at them.
She swore loudly and with some imagination, then looked up at Silence with wide eyes.

The wide eyed look was duly returned and Silence sent a small charge at the ground with a very sad understanding. "Looks like you got my powers for however long these crystals decide to be mischievous. You now have no reason to refuse human contact, my powers take some forcing in order to hurt someone." She didn't dare ask about what sort of curse she'd just been given, but she knew Kassie didn't get close to people for a reason, so she was loathe to really test out her theory. "S-So. . .How do I avoid killing someone with this electricity?" On a far smaller scale she could feel the jolts running through her limbs and running into the ground, thankfully she'd decided to go barefoot that day. "Are there side effects I should worry about?" She was thoroughly scared by this point that she'd have absolutely so idea what to do and just avoid everyone till she could get her own powers back.

She had lost her powers, for… for these? Kassandra looked at her hands incredulously, then as if she didn’t quite know what to do with them, then set them down carefully in her lap. Was she going to accidentally spit fire at periodic intervals until she got back her –equally unpredictable, but at least she knew it- own powers?
“Is that for long? Have they done this before?” Kassandra hoped that it would be a short time, and yes, this was quite well… not frequent, but not the first time either. She had no idea how to use fire magic, whether she could use it the same way as her own, whether she was going to spit fire in her sleep or set her clothes on fire when she tried to put on her cloak later. She bit her lip and chewed on it nervously for a moment, then scrambled up to her feet and held her hands out towards Silence’s, careful not to actually take hold of her.
“I would say it’s easy but… I’ve had practise. You won’t kill anyone, it’s not that volatile.” With practise. Although she was sure it would kill someone if she stocked up her electricity from a couple of days, it was powerful now Ri—
No, no, she would not think of that part of her past.
“It tends to… spark off a bit, if you don’t use it up. On metal, a lot. I don’t know why.” Guardians, what if Silence’s fire was just as unpredictable?

"Be careful when you sneeze, and your nervous nature might cause some problems. I've seen just about all there is to see in twenty years of being alive so not much surprises me, but be careful you might let off little puffs of fire when you get spooked." She remembered once seeing lighting travel through a tree and scorch the ground, and it occurred to her that going without shoes would be a great advantage. "Avoid metal and try to discharge current every day, yes?" It seemed like a pretty simple thing to do since she preferred going without shoes most of the time. She felt the static building up around her hands and forced the feeling down through her feet, rather awkwardly but succeeding all the same, before reaching out and holding Kassie's hands. "If I can learn to use this power of yours before I get my own back, I'll help you get yours under better control."

Seen all but everything? Kassandra snorted through her nose and made an incredulous expression at such a grandiose generalisation, but said nothing on it. Even that she could have said such a thing spoke volumes for the wisdom she did not hold, but Kassandra was not about to give a lecture, nor was she one for such things.
“Little puffs of fire. Great.” She swallowed nervously and let out a tense breath. As if there wasn’t enough to accustom herself to already. It wasn’t really a pleasing thought, and she tried to ignore it best she could as Silence took her hands. It unsettled her, to know that all her normal power was in this girl’s hands. She wasn’t exactly unarmed, what with this new power, but that she had no idea how to use it or what it could do, it made her feel infinitely more vulnerable, as if she had no power at all. She wouldn’t feel safe until she knew at least what she could do, and knew how to use a little of this foreign magic, enough to scare off anyone she felt was aggressive.
“Not sure you’ll have much luck there, but you can try,” she said quietly, looking away so she did not have to hold Silence’s gaze. Twelve years’ practise and she still didn’t know everything about what she could do; even if she had just had a powerboost recently and had a whole load new to learn. “I guess we’d better uhm… try this out or something.” She pulled her hands away, crossing her arms nervously across her front before putting them down, then digging through her things for a sheet of plate armour for target practise. Or the like.

"I guess now comes the target practice. . .right?" She loathed things like that, she didn't exactly have the best aim in the world and it wasn't something she tried to improve on a daily basis. In fact she didn't really care about her aim at all. Things like that had never mattered to her in the past, no reason why it should in the present. "I'll help you out but I don't really want to learn to use this power I have since I'll only have it for a short time." Everything felt strange and alien to her now, even things that she saw every day seemed to look out of place or different. 'Guess I'll just feel like a stranger in my own skin for now, at least till I get my normal powers back.' she thought blandly. This would be a drag and an annoyance, and painful if she didn't learn to channel that infernal current. She did "not" want a repeat of what happened with the crystal.

Target practise? “If you want. It’s not much use for anything but blowing up trees and the like though.” Kassandra shrugged, then managed to find the front of her plate armour, hefting it into her arms with a grunt. It seemed strange not to even have to fear electrocuting herself on it, although she had gotten rid of most of her magic earlier in the day, before it made her all jittery. She looked around, then beckoned with a twitch of her head away from the caravans and tents, not wanting to set anything alight accidentally.
“Really hope it’ll only be for a short time,” she muttered under her breath as she headed for an empty spot on the plains, kicking together a few stones to stand her armour upright against. She wedged it in place, then stepped back and scraped a few lines in the dirt, marking out more further away with sticks and rocks. If it were her training, she would have been hitting the target at every step backwards already, but it wasn’t hers any more, was it?
She pointed to the closest spot to her armour sitting out ready, backing off so there was a fair bit of space. “I guess try and hit that, and don’t kill yourself in the process.”

"Oh nonononono." she stammered. "Target practice and control is for YOU. I don't plan on making use of this new static charge. So long as I can discharge I won't be asking many questions." She looked at the target and then at her hand, then back and sighed. "This is going to hurt. I can already feel the pain." she remarked before trying to use the static like she used her fire, only to be knocked backward when it blew up in her face. "Gah!" She dusted herself off and tried at least 5 more times, each time getting shocked or knocked on her rear, before finally shooting at the armor. Only to miss. "Hellfire!" she swore peevishly. By that point she was pretty tired and she hadn't been practicing but for a few minutes to an hour. "Guess this'll take more time than working with fire." she muttered.

“Me?!” Kassandra exclaimed out loud at such a presumption. She didn’t need target practise!
Well, maybe she did a little, but she wasn’t in the habit of embarrassing herself in front of others. Much. She liked to think. Before she started shooting fire anywhere though, she had to get used to having it jump from her fingertips instead of electricity. That was newness enough for her to practise. Itty bitty steps.
She was distracted from her timid efforts to conjure a flicker from her hands without accidentally singeing off her eyebrows when Silence was knocked past her again by her new power, leaping out of the way quickly in case another bolt went flying past. Kassandra winced a little and shook the fire from her hand, pushing the hair behind her ears.
“Stop trying to make it so flashy. Just hold your arm out at the target and aim a bit.” Flashy things could come later, if she was so confident that she had her abilities under check. Kassandra herself had never been flashy; either in character, or in arrogance. Her magic was too dangerous to just mess around with.

After a fair bit of time had passed, she managed to move onto lighting up each hand with a small jet of fire, getting relatively good at ‘turning off’ the stuff too. It was tricky, but not difficult; just different to her own magic. She hadn’t liked to get too close or involved in what Silence was trying to do, working better on her own by principle, but now she levelled a hand at the target the girl had been working on, putting her concentration into conducting her new gift out of just the one palm and in a jet towards the target.
She missed, but not by much. Her main drawback seemed only to be that this fire did not reach as far as her lightning did.

"You're getting further along than I am, and I think that's a good thing!" she remarked. "You know you can try moving an existing flame too. Found that just starting out it was safer to light a torch and work with that." She looked at her hand and realized the kind of damage she was liable to deal herself, it wasn't a very pretty sight. "Will I eventually get over having spasms from using this or am I doomed to have them till I get my fire back?" Either way she'd learn something new, so it wasn't completely awful. Eventually her hands started to shiver and shake on their own and she took that as her cue to quit. "I'm out on the practice front for now, I'll let my hands have a break before I can't control them at all."

She watched Kassie and tried to give more input than she did the last time she tried teaching. "With fire you gotta put more push in and keep it burning longer, it's not just a short burst of flame, it's a steady stream. You need to work on making the fireball an extension of your arm; imagine that you're directing a punch but instead of your hand it's the fire. Don't hesitate to do something you wouldn't normally do, strange new powers warrant strange methods of control."

Kassandra took the praise with a slight nod, feeling carefully all over her fingers for any sign of damage. None so far, impressive. Perhaps their unfortunate power-transfer had also given her Silence’s fire retardancy. She folded her arms back in front of her again, saving more practise for a later point. For now her skill at her own power was paying off, with this fire manipulation easier than her own unpredictable magic.
Unsurprisingly, Silence’s was going less well.

“The more you use up, the better you’ll feel.” Unless she used it all completely, then she’d just faint out and feel twice as bad when she woke up. It didn’t really seem like a reassuring thing to say, so Kassandra kept silent on that front. “Having too much magic in your system will make you… twitchy.” She went to collect her armour, brushing her hand over the front to check for new dents- nope, clean- before hauling it back to Silence’s side and dropping it at her feet.
“Put your hand on that and let go of a bit of magic through it. Always works at the end of the day.” She unconsciously massaged over her hands and wrists, staring darkly back at the rest of camp now the end of their practise session was starting to draw near.

When she touched the metal she felt the surge of static drain from her and she quickly yanked her hand away. "I now understand your dislike of getting close to people. I'd be afraid to shake hands with clients if I had this to handle all the time." On cue her stomach began growling and she looked to Kassie. "Up for some food?" Her nervous fidgeting wasn't going unnoticed, and she looked concerned. "Do you have a problem with your hands, are they injured?" Looking at her she didn't seem hurt, but there was always the possibility. More likely she was just nervous and jittery. At any rate she got herself together and set out past a few of the fires people had around the camp so people didn't trip and tear down a tent or two. "Is there anything you want me to get together before we retire for the evening? Aside from food that is." Bed things would be needed and food was a necessity, she'd need to keep her cat away from Kassie for sure. "What sort of hazards come with this electricity? How deadly is it?"
