| Swords clashed fiercely, the Warlock's blade dripping poison- which Silver figured out to be demon's venom. But he didn't care, his golden eyes seemed so inhuman as he lunged forward again, only to have his attack blocked.
There is no way to lure him outside at this point - it's either kill or get killed. He thought.
The warlock saw the silvery metal with the reven-shaped stones, "Still carrying that thing around I see. You very well know that it would never work on me. You're planning to use MY weapon against me?"
-
Ladon was furious at Silver for leaping into the cave without him, but he followed orders anyway. But as soon as Silver gave the signal, he dove right in without any hesitation , unleashing a loud roar that shook the rocks above the cliff. But he knew that it wouldn't be heard inside the cave, it's one of the disadvantages of fighting a nasty warlock.

| As the antler dragon was pulled closer to the centre of the cave, where the shadowhunter was fighting the Warlock, she gave a shrill squeal, digging her short front claws into the ground. All she did was get them dirty, leaving long scrapes in the floor as she was dragged along. She didn’t have a clue what was going on, but it seemed like the man who had just arrived was on her side- Was he what the humans called “a knight in shining armour”?
Rilos dove in through the front of the cave, folding back his wings as he shot through the entrance. Down on the ground Silver fought with the Warlock, but he took little notice of that- His only attention was on the poor dragon tied in chains and grounded near to the two. He twisted, dropping his speed suddenly to arc down one wall, shutting his wings to his sides and dropping to the ground at a run towards Ceridwyn.

| Upon hearing the dragons entering the cave, Silver made the deadly mistake of turning around, and was rewarded with a deep gash in his side. He hissed in pain as the venom burned his body, but forced his sword forward to block the next blows and fend for himself.
He threw the twisted piece of metal towards the two dragons, not able to aim precisely, " Just throw the stele at her bonds, but make sure you don't touch them, he would be able to bind you too." He managed between clenched teeth.
-
It took all of Ladon's self control not to attack the Warlock when he saw his rider get hit, but he let out a loud, angry growl and headed with Rilos to the antler dragon's aid.

| Rilos’ eyes widened as he took in the chaos of the cave, reaching out to catch the twisted metal that Silver threw, but he missed and had to chase it off into the depths of the cave, his strange lolloping gait hiding the Warlock from view for a moment. He hoped the two-leg would not decide it wanted him as a prisoner too… He fired a little burst of flame in front of him, the cave too dark to see- The metal gleamed in the light, but Rilos gave a little yelp of fear as the skeleton of a human also lit, its skull hanging open in a grotesque grin. He backed away from the grisly remains, scooping the steel into his mouth and heading back to where the antler dragon was being held captive. Silver danced a dangerous dance nearer to the cave entrance, his blade weaving to block the blows of the Warlock, but it was obvious that he wasn’t fighting as well as before.
Ceridwyn’s eyes widened as the two dragons appeared in the cave, fluttering the very ends of her wings to try and attract their attention. They were here to rescue her! As the larger dragon rushed past over the thing that the shadowhunter had thrown she focussed on the smaller dragon, willing him to come over and help her out of the chains…

| Ladon couldn't do anything to help the imprisoned dragon, they needed the stele to set her free, when Silver threw it, he tried to catch it,but to no avail. He now watched his wounded rider helplessly, he knew that he couldn't get near the Warlock, his fate would be the same as the dragon in chains.
Silver, we are ready. Ladon's voice echoed in the Shadowhunter's mind as Rilos came into veiw, holding the "stele".
-
Silver was having trouble moving his body, but he kept on fighting, he now can feel the cool night air hitting his sweaty back, he looked back at the dragons one last time before he got out of the cave.
Unfortunately, there was a huge black cloud blocking the moonlight. By the looks of it, it was the Warlock's work.
Silver tensed slightly when he heard Ladon's voice echoing in his mind, the venom's effects has started. He focused all his thoughts on the stele that the dragons now have, his mind painting a strange rune, making the stele shimmer brightly in the darkness of the cave.

| Rilos pattered over to where the antler dragon was bound on the floor, keeping his legs well away from her- If Silver was right about the whole binding-chains-if-you-touched-them thing, he did not want to get trussed up in chains like this poor dragon. He shifted the stele in his mouth for a moment, trying to work out the best place to throw it on the dragon, but before he did, a strange rune started to glow on it, making him jump and slit his eyes against the light. Without much concern for hitting the other dragon (something rather out of character for him, but the rune had taken him by surprise), he threw it at her, the metal making a faint clash as it struck the metal of the dragon’s bindings.
Ceridwyn gave a huff of dislike as Rilos threw the stele at her bindings, her ears flicking back at the sound. Her irritation was short lived however as the chains around her suddenly started to loosen, their dark metal suddenly lightening in colour as they fell away. She scrambled free, shaking her head free of those that had bound her muzzle, but before she could say her thanks, the last twists of chain around her back paws suddenly writhed like a snake around her and dragged her to the floor. “Oh help!” she cried, flapping her wings to try and batter herself free.

| Ladon leaped and took the stele again, he couldn't afford to lose such an important thing, he threw it again, this time it shimmered even brighter, and as he did so, he spoke of one word,Run.
As the female dragon was freed for the second time, he ran across the cave and took the stele in his mouth, waiting for the two to exit the cave, so he would be able to follow.
-
Silver did his best trying to distract the Warlock from the three dragons in the cave at the time being. Now suffering from light to deep wounds, he waited patiently for the moon to appear, keeping his distance from the Warlock.
He was gone in a blurr of movements, and appeared seconds later almost ten meters away, although injured, he still had his grace and speed. He took his bow off his back, aiming two arrows at the time, he released four black arrows towards the Warlock.

| Rilos flicked his tails around the antler dragon as she was free a second time, steering her towards the cave entrance with a gentle push. Normally he didn’t dare touch another dragon without their permission, but, well, this was a little different, wasn’t it? “Come on!” he cried, breaking into a lolloping run, towards the cave entrance. As they made it back out into the meadow, a little of the stress of being in the cave lifted from his shoulders, but he knew they were still in great danger. Ceridwyn huffed as she climbed to her feet, letting the spined shadow sweep her towards the exit. Her belly and feathers were coated with dust, but she let it stay for the moment until they were safe again. “A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero only one!” she called. “Don’t die today doing something heroic!” Her eyes swung across to Silver, widening them like little moons as she saw him firing off arrows towards the Warlock.((Sorry if this misses you, I got distracted by a phone call ^^ ) | |

| As soon as Rilos and the other dragon got out of the cave, he quickly followed. As he got out, he opened his wings wide and took off towards his injured rider, unleashing an angry roar as the Shadow creature dodged the four arrows and stabbed Silver's shoulder as the Shadowhunter got out of the way trying to side step the attack.
-
As Silver was releasing the arrows, a searing pain shot from his side and he almost doubled over, but he stood still. What happened next, he did not know, in a blink of an eye, he found himself face to face with the Warlock, he didn't move, but merely stepped out of the way and got demon's venom in his body once more.
His body felt completely numb, from both venom and lack of blood. He didn't know if he was hallucinating or if the Warlock was playing an illusion, but now that his rage was gone and replaced with exhaustion, he thought he recognized the Warlock, but he couldn't place his finger on it. His golden eyes filled with puzzlement and confusion, "Who..?" He began, but was cut off with Ladon's loud war cry and brought back to reality.

| Rilos pushed the antler dragon to one side as they made it out the cave, ignoring her strange speech. Now she was safe (well, relatively), the least she could do was keep out the way for a moment while the Shadowhunters dealt with the Warlock. He himself wasn’t a fighter, but when he turned at Ladon’s enraged roar and saw the Warlock slicing through Silver’s side, something clicked in him that just made him want to pin the sorcerer to the ground and blast him with fire.
He gave a similar roar to the magpie dragon’s, flaring his spines up like a porcupine as he launched himself at the Warlock, snarling angrily as he bore the man to the ground. It was a stupid, stupid idea, but it might just buy Silver some time.
Cerid watched the fight between the two two-legs helplessly, fitting into the role of a “damsel in distress” much better than “hero or protector”. Leave that up to the other dragons.

| Silver's eyes widened as he was surprised with Rilos standing over the Warlock, and then, it finally clicked. He remembered the Warlock telling him that the stele was his weapon, then it only meant one thing... He's...
Silver quickly headed for the two, before Rilos got injured. As he was running towards them, Ladon threw the stele for him from above, he caught it swiftly and drew a black rune on Rilos' side as we was about to be bound with shadows "Block!" he shouted, and the rune turned white against the black scales, and with that, Rilos was released.
The Shadowhunter shoved Rilos off the warlock with abnormal strength, having used the "Strength" rune on his forearms. The Warlock just smirked. " Fly! Don't get down here!" He shouted to the dragons
He placed his sword on the Warlock's neck, but his hand was shaking and he couldn't hold it still. Those golden eyes identical to his own, that was his own brother! And he didn't even manage to recognize him, but he wasn't to blame, after all these years, he would never have guessed that his own brother turned into what he fights. But that was no surprise...

| Rilos’ angry snarl turned to one of shock as dark magic started to wrap around him at the Warlock’s touch, snaking up his front legs. He tried to pull back, the magic feeling like slimy ice against his scales, but they held him in place until Silver freed him, shoving him to the ground. He didn’t know humans could do that! He yelped as the rune glowed against his black scales, lighting up like a beacon, tingling like feathers floating across his side.
He scrambled to his feet, backing away from the two humans fearfully. Now was the sort of time fire came in handy, but with Silver so close to the Warlock, he didn’t want to burn them both to a crisp. Perhaps a distraction would work instead?
He leapt into the air, whipping his tails fast underneath him to shoot up into the moonlight. Now he knew he couldn’t touch the Warlock with his own claws and scales, he would have to find another way of distracting him. Rilos joined the other two dragons at their coasting height, the antler wisely having taken Silver’s advice. “What do we do?” he shouted across, hailing Ladon. “Will divebombing them distract the Warlock for long enough?” He flicked his tails, angling his flight so he could see what was happening down on the ground. It didn’t look good, Silver obviously wounded, whereas the other was in one whole piece, and looked strong as ever.

| The Warlock chuckled darkly, "Nice seeing that you remember me, Silver. It has been a good nine years, you've grown" he said as he kicked Silver off him, "You still need to work on your grip on the sword, your hands are shaking" He added, as silver backed away from him, still very much shocked.
Ladon... That's... But he didn't finish the sentence as Ladon did so for him Your older brother.
-
Ladon turned to Rilos as he spoke, Unfortunately , we can do nothing. Do you know why Silver didn't kill the Warlock when he got the chance? He asked, The warlock is my rider's older brother. We cannot land on the ground just yet

| Rilos laid his spines flat as Ladon delivered the bad news, his eyes sticking to the drama unfolding below. They were siblings? Well, he would never have guessed, in a thousand years, that that was the case. He could hardly make out the Warlock’s words, but he didn’t think they would be “Hi, how’ve you been?”
Feeling useless stuck up in the sky, he knew that nothing they could do would be of any help.
Ceridwyn had stayed quiet for quite a while, not really understanding what was occurring, but sticking close anyway- they seemed like good acquaintances to have, dragons so brave. She didn’t want to interrupt their conversation, but when the Warlock’s eyes suddenly flicked to the sky, having deemed Silver less of a threat now he was practically at his knees, she felt she should say something. “Good knights, it seems a foe draws near?” she twisted her flight a little closer to Rilos, being the bigger dragon. “Look out!”
As the Warlock looked up, suddenly tired of his victory over Silver being possibility disrupted by the dragons again, a thick cloud gathered in the sky around the three dragons, blacking out their visibility. It swirled in great clumps around them, filling the air with a noxious taint that made it instantly hard to breathe. Rilos coughed, blowing a short tongue of flame in front of him to try and clear the fog, but it seemed to make little difference- Neither did shifting to his shadow form as the smoke from his breath rolled over him in cleaner twists of his own making.

| Silver was panting heavily, and looked up when his brother did so, he got up shakily, "Leave the dragons out of this, this is between you and me" he hissed as he gripped his fallen sword with both hands, planning to distract his olde sibling before the dragons suffocate.
-
Ladon could feel the hits that his rider was taking, and it enraged him that he couldn't just end this whole thing. When the came here, they came after a normal Shadow, they were not prepared to confront someone as strong as Silver's brother. He was stronger than Silver when they were kids, and now that he turned himself in some twisted way into a Warlock, the difference between their powers and abilities grew, even though Silver has some unique skills that he never uses.
Here was just a moment that Ladon could feel the fog lessen , so he took the chance and slipped out of it. Scatter, that way he would not get us He said as he glided near the ground , ready to attack in any moment.

| Rilos coughed at the cloying texture of the magical cloud that the Warlock had casted, turning upwards (or what he thought was upwards, it was hard to see in such blackness), with a strong beat of his wings. He climbed fast into the sky, his breath coming faster as the cloud tried to choke him before he burst out of the top of it, sucking in a deep breath of clean air. Below him, the cloud roiled angrily, a few tendrils snaking after him like vines trying to catch him in their grasp. He held up his paws out of the way, trying to think what to do next. There was nothing he could do to stop the warlock with his strength, that was certain.
Ceridwyn wasn’t so lucky with the cloud as the other two, even less used to battle than Rilos. She blinked away tears as the magical fog stung her eyes, turning this way and that to try and find the other two, who had seemingly disappeared into nowhere. Rilos’ shadow form made him practically invisible against the night, and she didn’t see him shoot up to safety.
The longer she hovered in the cloud, trying to work out which way to go, the harder it got to breathe, and the harder it got, the more she had to suck in- it was like a toxic circle, until her eyes slipped shut and she plummeted with a scream.
Thankfully, Rilos heard her and dove after the antler dragon, flipping in mid air and tucking his wings in almost shut to his body. He rocketed through the cloud, catching the slightly smaller dragon in his claws before she hit the ground, his wings snapping open. He gave a small roar as the wind dragged on his bones, cutting his descent suddenly, but he couldn’t hold her for long and was forced to land not far from Silver and the Warlock.
((Cerid’s playing damsel in distress lolololol))

| There was a moment of utter stillness, nothing moved , just the sound of the howling wind blowing hard. All of a sudden, there was a pure energy explosion that turned everything white. Ladon dove to the ground, fearing that something might happen to his injured rider. He opened his wing wide as he smelled the dirt, he couldn't see, but his other senses were working overtime.
As the light vanished, and his vision turned normal, he could barely make out a standing figure, while the other was nowhere to be seen.

| The explosion of energy took Rilos completely by surprise when it came, blinding him for a moment, unused to the sudden light. The spined shadow adapted very quickly to the dark, but when it came to the light, he wasn’t as accomplished. When the light receded he shook his head slowly, trying to wave away the bright spots that flickered in his vision, before turning to see what had happened. The antler dragon at his feet was out completely cold- the misty cloud that the Warlock had conjured had done nothing good for her.
Leaving her to recuperate on her own for a moment, he padded over towards Ladon, glad to see the magpie dragon was still on his feet. Behind him a human figure stood, although Rilos couldn’t tell humans well enough apart to know whether it was Silver or the Warlock. He hoped it wasn’t the latter. “Ladon? What happened?”

| Ladon didn't know what was going on, The fight looks over for now He said to Rilos. He headed towards the figure standing mere meters away now.
That was a stupid move, and the dragon was sure of it. But he couldn't stop his body from moving on it's own accord. His mind processing things with abnormal speed.
Already thinking of strategies if it was the Warlock and not his rider which was standing, a little hunched over.
The black sword and bow was nowhere to be seen, which made him even more nervous.

| Nodding slowly, Rilos hung back as Ladon headed for the standing figure, not wanting to get involved if either it was Silver- In which case, he knew nothing of rider-dragon bonds, but he would have thought they would have wanted some time alone, or the Warlock, in which case he really didn't want to get captured. Flicking his tails in stuttering fear, he peered through the darkness, letting his eyes adjust to the night, still not quite back to normal after the burning light that had lit the world only a moment or two before.
"Who's there? Silver?" His voice came out tense with panic, and he gulped, telling himself that his fear had no basis. After all, he was ten times as big as this human!

| Ladon walked cautiously , not wanting to get trapped if it was the Warlock. He looked around, trying to find his rider's weapons to no avail. The shadowy figure started heading towards the two dragons.
The figure advanced slowly , almost limping, but still held its grace. Ladon was getting more anxious as the seconds passed by, ready to attack in any given thought that there was a threat.
He took a few steps back, and crouched, ready for what's about to come.

| As the figure started towards them, Rilos came to a sudden halt, keeping his distance. Ladon seemed to have had the same idea and stopped too, a little in front of the spined shadow. He silently cursed his lack of being able to tell the difference between humans- right now, it would have saved both him and the magpie dragon an awful lot of worry.
Whoever it was though, from the regal way they held themself (despite it being obvious that they were wounded), they had Rilos' respect. To come out of a battle like that- magic, swords, you name it- and still be standing, why, it was something to see! Of course, that didn't dim his wariness. "Stop!" His voice wavered on the word, and he tried to harden it a little. "Who are you?"

| A dark chuckle cut through the stillness of the night."Relax you two." A voice spoke up, sounding tired. The shadowy figure advanced slowly, as the moon slowly revealed itself from behind the clouds, Ladon managed to make out Silver's face.
He relaxed a bit, still not letting his guard down. He headed towards the injured rider, noticing that he's badly hurt. The stench of blood assaulted his nosetrails almost imidiatly before he even saw the red, sticky liquid.
-
As Ladon reached him, Silver leaned hevily against his dragon, wincing as he pulled a dagger from his side. The hot liquid flowing from the deep wound.
Silver got onto Ladon's back, "Move, we need to get them out of here," he jerked his head towards Rilos and the Antler dragon, " Rilos, can you try and move her?" He asked, while taking deep breaths.

| Letting out a relieved breath, Rilos let a thankful smile, the spines that had stuck up like a porcupine’s at the hint of fear slowly flattening themselves along his neck again. He flicked a wing across his eyes, wondering why his nightsight had failed him so badly- That flash really must have been very bright for him to not have worked out who it was earlier. He kept his spaces as Ladon headed for his rider, letting them have a moment. His eyes flicked behind him to the antler dragon, his mouth twisting as he saw her still knocked out cold.
“Yes, I think I can carry her.” He said softly, padding back to the female’s side. Her breaths came long and low- she obviously wasn’t suffering very much, just out cold. He blew a little warm air in her face, ruffling her hair, then when she didn’t wake, lay down alongside her and wrapped his tails around her middle, lifting her just high enough so he could wiggle underneath and carry her across his back.

| Silver got off of his dragon's back, still clutching the wound on his side and panting slowly. Ladon cast a worried glance at Silver as he walked away from the tree dragons, but did not dare to get any closer. He was not going to disobey his rider.
He did not know what happened between the two brothers, but seeing Silver's reaction, he figured that the older of the two had managed to escape. His rider's weapons were nowhere to be seen, even the black sword. It is as if the earth opened up and swallowed the few weapons his rider carried.

Silver sat on the floor, further away from the dragons. The whole fight with his brother had shaken him really bad. His lost weapons were what bothered him the most, he cannot fight without his sword.
He began to feel lightheaded from all the blood loss, he rested his head on the tree behind him and drifted to a troubled sleep.
