Well then, to quickly explain what this board is all about..

Basically, a random idea turned into a very spontaneous roleplay on our advertisement board on neo and we decided that we would like to keep this and continue it Smile So here it is!

I told you, quickly ^^

OOC| Yay for spontaneous relaxed neo rps XD

The smooth breeze on the southern shore of Dragons Cove caressed his fur and array of feather gently, his usual composed and serene self resting on the brown and gold sand. The tide was going out and it was a beautiful fiery sunset, of course Farios was in his sleep...Waiting...It was the night he much prefered, a nature loving creature he would rather be out when he could most be alone -c-
And enjoy the "ambience" by himself. It wasn't that he disliked company, it's just, everything was simply so much more interesting by night. It wasn't long of course before the sun was quenched by the horizon of the sea, it's warm glow fleeting from the skies...In it's wake, slowly turning to an inky black and blue. It was then that the mint green and white dragon's body-c-
Began to move, well this would be pleasant, a stroll through the familiar territory under a cloudless, flawless sky. Rising from the sand and shaking off the excess a yawn escaped his mouth and it wasn't long before he was on the move, trekking down the shore line with the soft salty waves stroking his feet and erasing the prints he left behind.

Standing on top of a dune, enjoying the last rays of the sun caressing her fur, Abraxas didn't move a muscle. The horse dragon was holding her head high, seemingly listening for the secrets the wind was whispering in her ear. Yet, there was an overwhelmingly sad look on the chocolate brown face. One that would not easily be erased. Alas, there was nobody that could help her. She was who she was and there was no denying it, no matter how hard she wished for - over and over again.

Orange strands of hair were falling over her eyes, swaying in the salty breeze from the ocean. Digging the claws of her reptilian hind legs deep into the sand, the horse dragon was rearing up in a sudden movement of utter frustration. When she fell back on her front hooves, Abraxas angrily shook her head before resuming her statue-like posture again. Happy to be alone, so she could gather her thoughts again, she was not her usual self, gladly playing pranks on others or simply indulging in acting as the evil ones among the dragon races. A sigh escaped her lips, her eyes searching the horizon for the answer to the ultimate question. But the horizon did not reply.

Treading through the sand and sea was relaxing in itself, peaceful and such...But it wasn't long before something disturbed his scenery. Out of the corner of his gleaming green eye a sharp motion caught his attention. He stopped in his tracks. Turned his head, and the figure of a dragon (or was it a horse?) could be seen-c-
His curiosity as piqued and he paused again looking more attentively to the thing...It was harder to see under the beginnings of night what it was. Maybe he should just carry on his way, the thing didn't seem in the best of moods and the hairs of his thick green mane twitched...But he was stuck in the moment, unable to stop looking, an uneasiness over him.

Abraxas was definitely not in a good mood anymore, not after the day's events and she was feeling as if the night would not bring much better things along for her. Though she might be mistaken. But then again, she didn't care. For now, everything was bad, everything was out to get her and everything was getting on her nerves. Or maybe she really was just bathing in self-pity.

It was then, when she could kick herself, but would not have been able to bend that way, that she felt a trickling sensation crawl over her back. Something was watching her! Her head jerked around in an attempt to discover the observer but in the growing darkness, her surroundings were hard to distinguish. But then she saw it. Another dragon, a winged one. Though there was something on its head.. ? Were those antlers? Abraxas stood there, staring unashamedly at the creature, trying to figure out what exactly it was she was looking at, whilst the other was staring at her just as fixedly.

Wheeling out from the land and over the sun-drenched sea was the large, silhouetted figure of Rilos, wings spread wide and flickering over the last rays of the sun. He enjoyed it's warmth for a while, electric spikes shining, before he twisted his wings into his sides and plunged down into the sea, a small gasp and burst of bubbles erupting from his mouth as he hit the cold water. With a swish of his tail, he flipped out of the water, taking a big breath before swimming downwards a little, eyes wide for fishes, until he bored of such games and pulled himself out onto the shore, giving himself a dog-like shake to rid himself of water. When he finished, he looked around, his heart stopping as he spotted two other dragons. Had they just seen THAT?

This was, in a word, tense. The sudden and swift swoop of the other dragon however, gave Farios a timely escape from the tension. He felt himself shufflin backwards just a little unsure what to say, before putting on the most polite voice he could, the two dragons before him didn't seem all that welcoming.
Well, it's a uh, very nice night to be by the shore isn't it?" For lack of anything to-c-
Say that would sound reasonable in this given moment. Farios tried to pass off a smile and flick his tail in a friendly way, but every part of his body stayed rigid.
This was ridiculous, seriously, what would these dragons honestly want to do with him? As this thought passed through his mind, his shoulders relaxed and he smoothed his demeanor...
Care to tell me who you both are?" He added.

The horse dragon felt a shiver run through her body, a definite sign for her feeling uncomfortable. This was getting ridiculous. Why didn't that beast stop staring at her like she was an alien? Had they never seen a dragon before? Of course the fact that Abraxas did not look like the average dragon did not spring to her mind.

As the shadow of another dragon soared through the evening sky, she jumped at the possibility to avert her eyes and look at something different. She cocked her head to one side when the dragon reappeared from the water it had just splashed into and was now shaking off the water droplets. Laughter formed in her throat, but she was desperately trying to keep it inside, not wanting to be too rude, the dragon already seemed embarrassed enough. But then a loud snort nevertheless disturbed the quiet before the weird antler dragon spoke. A look of surprise passed over her face and the laughter got stuck in her throat when she realised that she had never heard such a weird opening line. It almost made her chuckle again.

She observed both dragons, wondering which one of them was more insecure and resolved that maybe her night was brightening up after all. However, she was not about to reveal who she was quite yet. First, she was much more interested in who they both were and what they would do next, the tension in the air still growing, rather than diminishing.

Seeing the looks on the other dragons' faces, Rilos gave a small gulp, before asking tentatively, "You saw that, didn't you?" His spines flattened a little in embarrassment, before trying to turn off the topic. "Um, my name's Rilos." He said, taking a step closer towards the others, a friendly smile on his lips. He was slightly taken aback by the others- One had antlers, the other looked vaguely horselike- Although he himself looked rather peculiar, what with so many spines and bone wings... But that was beside the point. All dragons were different, weren't they?

The odd mix of reactions from the...-horse dragon- he just tried to ignore, it was silly he had assumed anything bad. Horse dragons were gentle righteous souls weren't they? This much more threatening dragon (as far as looks were concerned) also was turning out to be good natured. Odd that the black dragon had slight reservations he felt, his variety of spines and the huge lash-like tail,-c-
Would have made his mere antlers seem quite diminuitive. Still, he took the approach in good heart, his tone softening again as he further lost the initial doubt.
Pleased to meet you then Rilos, are you heading to the human village?" He spoke in soft and positive voice now, flexing his toes free from the sand, time to time looking back at the sharp eyes of the horse dragon.

The scene was oddly disturbing somehow, yet Abraxas began to enjoy this. Her mind started to fill with ideas for pranks she could play on the two, but she dismissed all of them - for now. This was no time for playing pranks, not when she did not know how they would affect the horse dragon herself.

The spikes on the black dragon's back were a novelty and Abraxas observed them rather interestedly. A grin played around the edges of her muzzle as he mentioned his shaking. Who would've thought that a dragon who actually looked quite impressive size and appearance wise could be embarrassed.

Adopting the polite and soft tone of voice the antler dragon, if that was what it was, had used, Abraxas spoke for the first time: "May we inquire after your name then? Since you want to know ours."

Initially he heard the more skeptical sounding voice of the horse dragon, he bowed his head briefly,
Oh pardon me fellow dragons, my name is Farios." He responded, not bothering to ask the horse dragon her name again, it'd come in time. Farios then averted his attention back to Rilos for the moment at first feeling a littled puzzled why he wouldn't want to see the humans of the nearby village-c-
They were quite interesting folk, strange skills and ways that always did fascinate him, or was that just his natural weakness for that thing they made called music? Farios lifted his head up with a small skip of the paw forward, turning to the direction of the village beyond the immediate dunes of this shore. "Why then, you both have so much to see, I'd be honoured if you'd come with me."-c-
The glow of happiness lit up inside him of those fond memories, and he couldn't understand for the wide world of Dragons Cove why the dragons didn't appreciate the humans quite so.

Then again, Farios was intelligent, but not always the most well-informed when it came to larger events....

Feeling both sets of eyes upon him, Rilos shuffled his feet a little, not used to such inspection. His claws sunk a little into the sand, and he felt it twist inside them- A cause for discomfort later on, most probably. Trying to ignore this, he looked across to the antler dragon, focussing his attentions. "I wasn't planning to, no. Humans aren't quite my cup of tea." He thought back to his first encounter with two-legs, where he had been literally captured! "Although," He continued after a moment, "I might be persuaded to head that direction with the right company." A new sort of smile flickered across his lips, eyes alight with sparks of mischief. Tonight might be more fun with more than one!

The horse dragon slightly inclined his head in a small gesture of politeness, to acknowledge the fact that Farios had so willingly replied to her request. She then decided she could give her name as well, it would only be fair. "My name is Abraxas," she thus declared, finally moving out of her posture and started to gracefully move down the dune onto the beach where the other two dragons were.

But on second thought, this had not been such a good idea. She felt a little dwarfed as she realised that both dragons were bigger than her, even if it was not by much. Though surprisingly, she found herself agreeing with the black dragon. She wasn't too fond of humans either, even though they were useful for certain things. "Why would you want to go to the humans? Of your own free will?"

Abraxas?" Repeated Rilos, the name vaguely similar from somewhere...He shook his head, dispelling the thought. "I might come..." He hesitated, torn between agreeing with Farios or Abraxas. Yes, it would be exciting adventuring towards the town, as he hadn't before, but then again, it always carried that risk... He looked from one to another, trying to decide without looking foolish. He sat down like a cat, head slightly cocked as he thought. "I'll come, but not far, and not near a lot of humans. Don't like them two-legs one bit." And from what Abraxas had said, neither did she. Hopefully at this lateish hour in the day, there wouldn't be too many around.

Farios was most confused, these two-legs were peaceful and wise, they hadn't ever tried to harm anybody! Naturally, he defended his idea.
"Why would I want to? Why wouldn't I want to should be the question. It really is quite a /lovely/ place there, come on then, let me prove it to you both!" He gestured his head forward, signalling them to follow. Just over the crown of dunes was the city that lay on a bed of dry sand never touched by the sea. Namely, Bolarf, the village that was inbetween the on-the-edge volcanic village of Caspan, and then the town quite far away from here- surrounded by the thick woods- known as Quinsilla.
Farios lead the way for some distance, stopping at the point where the rather quaint village was in full view, though they were not technically /in/ it yet.
"Honestly we should just go in, they won't bite! It's not as if there will be many of them at this hour." Farios swished his long tail again flicking Rilos with it, and connecting his eyes with Abraxas a warm smile upon his face. So, on he trotted merrily, maybe 100 yards to the village at best?

Abraxas looked surprised. "Do you want a list?!" But she shrugged off the comment, realising that Farios would not want to hear it anyway. He seemed far too set on the idea that they were the most docile and friendly creations on the face of Dragon's Cove. Boy, was he in for a surprise. Though, granted, maybe now that it was night time there might not be many people out anyway, so it could still all go down well and a little adventure never hurt anybody. The horse dragon looked at Rilos, who wasn't too pleased either but seemed to be willing to come along anyway. Maybe seeking an adventure too?

"Ok, I guess I could come along and see what you so desperately want to prove," but don't count on me saving your butt when it all goes down the drain, she silently added. The walk to the village of Bolarf was a short one and the view actually was peaceful, most lights gone out and people probably already in their beds, indulged in their dreams. Still, Abraxas did not trust the humans. Encounters had been very rare, but the stories she'd heard were putting her off quite a lot and from what she had observed when stalking around on her own wasn't too promising. Sceptically, she looked at Farios, wondering what the details of his plan were, then she shot a look at Rilos questioningly.

Standing up again off his haunches, Rilos allowed himself to be lead a little closer to the human dwellings, a little knot of apprehension growing in the pit of his stomach as they neared it. The edge of the village loomed black against the dark blue sky, many features now obscured in its silhouette form for the night.
“It’s not them biting that I’m worried about!” Said Rilos wryly in defence of his reluctance, eyeing the village cautiously. “it’s more the sword poking and arrow shooting that’s concerning me.” He hung back a little as Farios walked closer, waiting for something nasty to happen (as evidently it would to three large dragons strolling right into a human village at night).

Seeing a fleeting question look shoot at his direction from Abraxas, he returned a slightly anxious smile back, not wanting to speak his deeper fears of humans in front of the others, Farios in particular. He didn’t seem like it, but sometimes those who admired the humans would scorn those who didn’t, and he’d rather that wouldn’t happen on such a nice night. He slowly followed Farios, not speaking further for fear of drawing unwanted attention as they neared the entrance to Bolarf.

Farios chuckled to himself, that jolly trot never slowing as his feet made their steady cheerful pace on the sand in the new found darkness that had settled on the village. Bolarf was a very poor village, it's villagers rough on the edges and somewhat skeptical, everything was being worn by salt air and the chilling breeze that ran through the great sandy rift. But it's peoples' spirit was never dampened or cooled off, that was for sure. For all the darkness in the village and it's few streets one could make a few homely honey coloured glows in between...There was no formal gate for such a small village, it just kind of, began...
The small village was supported by it's fishing in the medium warmth waters only possible in the day...As was harvesting the rare sea stones which were so highly coveted- yet so rare. Fortunately for them, this could just about support them.
Farios was well aware of their own little culture and way of living here...Unlike anywhere else...

He'd have to take them to see the that one human, admittedly, it was a wonder she was still alive around here when he met her...condition hadn't ever stopped her being outspoken mind you. Farios felt drawn to her curious personality.
He had a feeling, a hunch, although these dragons were cold to people for the most part...She might be the one to change their minds. On he moved, somewhere nearby was a well, he seemed to remember that lady living near there.
"See, it's not that bad so far is it, we haven't been challenged have we?" He chuckled, staying ahead leading them through the sleeping village towards where he believed her house to be. But what now? Wasn't it a bad time to be making house calls to people you hadn't seen for ages? Maybe...He ruminated on the idea, sitting down wondering what he could do at this time anyway.

Farios suddenly turned as he heard something from inside, but was greeted by a grey matted furred mutt that slipped out of the wooden door. Strangely not at all put off by the dragons huge size in comparisson, It grumbled for a while, not too pleased to see them, then it began to bark sharply, Farios sighed. should he have waited until morning at least? Probably, in heinsight.

It wouldn't be exactly the best re-union, but these dragons would have to see, not all humans were bad. These ones wanted to keep the peace, the only ones that refused to take part in an active battle unless attacked themselves. Then there was the festival too...

Looking back to the others he smiled sheepishly, just a little embarassed at his lack of forethought and the noise being caused. But stuck, unsure how to stop it.
"Maybe we should go to the statue instead..." He proposed, looking to the west. A little bit of food for their thoughts.

Taking one last look behind him at the darkened shoreline, hardly distinguishable against the sky, Rilos gave a sigh and padded into the borders of Bolarf, His claws scuffing slightly against the dusty ground beaten hard by the wheels of carts and the horses that pulled them. The salty breeze rustled his spines, the noise sounding loud and artificial in the night air, compared to the soft whispers of Abraxas’ mane and the hush of the trees.

As they moved further into the village, Rilos felt his heart beating ever faster, head turning this way and that to seek movement. At Farios words, he felt his tails curl at the ends in fear at his words being overheard by a restless human, and their presence discovered. Not daring to answer, he just flashed a look at Farios (which indubitably would be missed) and continued to follow, until, horror of horrors, he sat down! Rilos gave a squeak, leaning in close with a panicked look on his face- “ What the hell do you think you’re doing?” He hissed, eyes flickering from side to side, this lack of direction unnerving him. Just sitting in the middle of a human village was not on his agenda for “1001 fun things to do before you’re killed by humans”, thank you very much!

Before more action could be taken (like running as fast as he could of the place), a mangy dog slipped out of a nearby doorway, surveying them in an unsatisfactory manner before letting loose a loud volley of barking. Great. Wincing, Rilos looked to Farios for guidance on a halt to the noise (as he seemed to be the expert on humankind here), and when that didn’t come, to Abraxas instead. Any form of action was better than nothing after all!

At the mention of a way out, the spine spike took the chance, almost snapping at Farios in his hurry to escape from the uncompromising situation. Abandoning any attempt at subtlety, with a flaring of wings and a louder-than-before squeak; “Which way’s the statue, and let’s get out of here!”

((Sorry it's a little random, Roguey's a little rusty...))

An uncomfortable feeling settled in the pit of he horse dragon's stomach and did not want to go away anymore, weighing her down like a stone. The soft sound of the waves swimming ashore was soon drowned out by the silence of the sleeping village. Despite the lack of humans on the streets and the lack of lights behind the windows in most places, Abraxas felt strangely observed. Every small unknown or unpredictable sound made her jump slightly, even the rustling of the wind in her own hair, not to mention the abnormal sound it made when playing along Rilos' spines. Even the almost inaudible splashing of the water in a nearby well sounded hollow and unreal in this eery silence.

Farios however seemed unphased by all of this, unlike Rilos, which was making Abraxas feel less out of place in their little trio. The antler dragon seemed to know exactly where they were going, which made Abraxas wonder how many times he had passed through here. Maybe the humans knew him well enough not to attack him when he suddenly came bursting in with a couple other dragons in tow. Nevertheless, she could not shake the anxiety, with every step anticipating an attack, especially since the irregular tapping of her two hooves and her two reptilian hind legs must have sounded very odd to anyone. Not even a horse with a silly walk would have been able to create such a weird pace. As she was just about to ask where the heck they were headed, Farios suddenly sat down!! Abraxas stopped dead in her tracks, unwilling to believe her eyes. He cannot be serious, right? Right? Sitting down in the middle of a possible battle field... She shook her head but the image before her eyes did not want to dissolve.

Rilos relieved her of the nasty job of shouting at Farios but the only thing that really seemed to make a difference in the antler dragons' composure was the raging dog that was suddenly standing in front of them, barking like a mad one. None of the other dragons seemed to know what to do with it, neither did Abraxas. Rilos shot a frantic look from one to the other, hoping against hope that one of them would do something, but then took it into his own hands by following up on Farios' suggestion to go visit the statue instead. What a crazy idea it had been to walk so far into the village anyway! "Go go go! What are you waiting for?" She nudged Rilos to get Farios going and make a run for it.

On a whim, Abraxas then decided to approach the dog, without knowing what she would have to do to get him to shut up, but something needed to be done. And quickly! All around them, more honey-coloured spots began to appear in the windows and noises began to be heard from behind the walls. "Now look what you've gotten us into!" she hissed at Farios. "If I lose one hair in this...." but she left the threat unfinished. Farios could not have known there was a dog about to announce their arrival in such a very obvious manner. Moving in on the dog, the horse dragon decided to shove her face into the dog's, forcing her smell upon him, hoping that maybe the horse part of her would ring a bell in the dog's tiny brain and make him realise that a horse is definitely not going to eat either him or his master. But she was not sure it was going to work...
