| Small fish were frantically trying to escape the hooves of the horse dragon, who was splashing around in the water to cool off her rather hot hide, and were darting away in every possible direction. The day was incredibly hot in comparison to the cold drizzle these parts of Dragon’s Cove had had to put up with lately and Abraxas was not very pleased with this sudden change, especially seeing that the blackness of her scales and fur seemed to act as a veritable magnet to the heat. To add to her generally gloomy mood, the horse dragon was extremely bored and kept flicking about her tails in a motion of annoyance as she failed to come up with something to do. Nobody was around either and it seemed like she was the only living being, well larger being, on the face of this valley.
Grumpily, she snorted into the water in a vain attempt at amusement, though she did take some pleasure in the hurried motions of the water critters to get out of her way, looking as if they wanted to kill her right then and there for disturbing the usually very quiet waters of the lake. The place presented itself in extraordinary beauty under the warming rays of the sun, its light broken on the now wavy surface of the lake, forests and mountains mirrored in fractured images in the surface all around. Abraxas however did not spare this pretty landscape more than a fleeting glance as it quite simply seemed boring to her; nothing was happening, nothing seemed to be moving and nobody was around.
How she always found herself in completely deserted places, she did not know, but it regularly happened. Abraxas usually started wandering about without a clear destination where to head to and then suddenly, to her own grudge, found herself in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Rather frustrating indeed. But then.. was that.. “Oh, shiny!” the horse dragon suddenly exclaimed to herself and trotted about the edge of the lake, wondering how on earth she was ever going to find out what it was that she had seen glittering beneath the surface of the lake, the shimmer had been barely visible from her earlier vantage point with the nose down in the water and now she was desperately trying to catch another glimpse, without luck however. Though of course she was not planning on giving up just yet, and so she kept wandering about the edges of the body of water, craning her neck this way and that to see something.

| The figure dressed in black sighed. His cloths not helping the situation, the temperature was making him sweat.
He shook his head, and continued walking beside his dragon. The surroundings were breathtaking, but he paid them little attention as he headed toward the shades that the trees provided.
There's a lake right there. The dragon jerked his head towards the glittering water. They were far, enough not to see the dragon in the lake.
The man shook his head, pushing damp bangs out of his face, "Why didn't you say that earlier?" He inquired. The dragon just shrugged, his rider getting on his back. "Let's go." He said as he took the the bow off his back and placed it in the saddle, leaving his black, heavy sword slung on his back.
As they neared the lake, the young Shadowhunter could barely make out a figure standing in the lake. " I see that we are not alone." He said as his dragon started to land

| Abraxas splashed the water some more in hopes of the agitated surface maybe giving her an idea on how to relocate that glimmer, but still to no avail. Frustrated, the horse dragon retraced her steps around the lake back towards where she had started out from, starting to wonder if she had just imagined the whole thing. Spreading her wings once in an angry flutter, she pushed her nose into the water again, much to the disdain of the fish, who stupidly enough always came swimming back.
Abruptly, a shade fell over the lake and Abraxas looked up at the indistinguishable sound of flapping wings. The low sound of a voice drifted to her ears as well, though she couldn’t make out the words. Leaning her ears flat on her neck, she squinted against the sunlight at the approaching figure, wondering who on earth was daring to interrupt her now. Now when she was finally busy, someone came to interrupt her, where had they been earlier when she had been bored? She couldn’t use a distraction now, she wanted to find out what was in that lake. With the sun obstructing a clear view, she couldn’t distinguish much apart from black, but with this bright light, everything would look black from such a vantage point. However, the wings seemed to belong to a dragon and judging from the fact that she had heard a voice, the dragon might come with a rider.
Taking a few steps back and away, Abraxas opened her wings slightly, ears still pressed to her neck in annoyance, readying herself to either defend herself or take off in flight. One could never be too certain these days, especially with the many pranks Abraxas already had played on so many creatures, they might suddenly have decided to come after her. It was not an idea Abraxas was particularly fond of but she had to consider it nevertheless.

| Ladon shifted slightly, making his rider lose balance and drop the shining metal from his hand. "Careful!" He snapped as his dragon as he jumped off his back, not wanting to lose the small object in the lake below.
As he jumped, the sunlight reflected off his light black armor, and making his golden eyes shine brightly. Any other human would surely suffer serious injuries, perhaps some broken bones for leaping from this height. but not me he thought with a smirk playing on the corners of his lips as he reached the water's glassy surface and broke through it.
Little droplets of water flew momentarily in the air from the force of the impact, then fell back with a soft sound, much similar to a bell as it hit the surface once more.
He resurfaced moments later, gasping for breath. Have you found it? The dragon asked as he landed with a splash, he noticed the other dragon. We are not hear to fight. He projected with his mind as his rider took the sword and tied it to the saddle.
Silver grunted as he lifted the heavy saddle, and carried it to the bank, when he got out of the water, he dropped it under a nearby tree and removed his own armor, leaving himself with his black shirt and black pants.
Ruffling his hair which was dripping water and heaving another sigh, he tucked the Steele in the saddle and headed for the two dragons.

| As not amused as the horse dragon was by the sudden presence of a dragon and his rider, Abraxas’ ears suddenly lifted up again and her eyes were sparkling as she something sparkly fall from the dragon’s back and straight into the lake. She could not for the life of her remember when in the past few minutes she had become so extremely obsessed with shiny things, but this definitely was interesting. She tried following the thing with her eyes but it disappeared beneath the surface too quickly, not tracked by the sunlight for her to see where it landed.
Before she could waste more thoughts on this however, the rider suddenly dropped off the dragon’s back and jumped straight into the lake, hunting after his object it seemed. Before the horse dragon knew what was happening, she was already being splashed by the drops and small waves that were flying away from the point of impact and with a certain look of disdain, she glared at the spot where the rider was bound to emerge again soon. The dragon however had seemingly interpreted her posture as it was intended and reassured her that they were not after a fight. Even though his voice was gently appearing in her mind, the horse dragon jumped back a little at the occurrence and shifted her angry gaze to the dragon, ignoring the rider who was now fiddling around with swords and saddles, Abraxas didn’t even care.
”What are you here for then?” the horse dragon finally replied, folding her wings back onto her back completely. There was indeed no sense of threat about those two, and she was fairly certain the rider wouldn’t be able to hold himself on the dragon for that long without a saddle, if they decided to fight after all. However, Abraxas being who she was, curiosity soon won her over and she shuffled a little closer to the dragon, lightly peering around his shoulder towards his rider, who was getting rid of all their accessories. ”What brought you to these parts?” she added, her question sounding quite a lot lighter in tone now than the first one, her anger at the interruption slowly dissipating at the prospect of some company and maybe entertainment.

| Ladon looked at his rider, then back to the other dragon, Forgive us for disturbing the quiet place. The weather is hot, and my rider needed somewhere to rest. We have been flying most of the morning. The sun rays burned both of our backs. He stretched his sore muscles and closed his wings.
He looked around to make sure that there was no threat around, deeming the place safe enough, he relaxed a little. His rider reaching them after mere seconds.
Silver bowed a little for the other dragon, showing that he was no threat, as he spoke softly, " We need to set camp, either the mountains," He jerked his head towards them, " Or the forest. There seem to be enough trees to take cover." He motioned to the woods behind them with his thumb.
"It is nice indeed to meet another dragon in this deserted place." He smiled at the horse dragon.

| Abraxas nodded agreement to the other dragon’s statement. ”It is indeed quite hot today, almost unbearable,” she grimaced as she herself waded a little further into the water again, which brought back to mind the shimmering down below, though she quickly dismissed that for later. The two new beings in her presence were far more interesting than a shiny object she might not even reach.”That is why I have taken to the ground today, the sun isn’t burning quite as strongly down here.”
Curiously, the horse dragon let her eyes sweep over the rider and blinked in surprise as he gave her a bow in greeting. Dumbstruck by this and completely at a loss for words, she simply listened to him talk to his dragon and wondered how she should react to this. Her surprise was still relatively visible on her face when the man suddenly addressed her as well.
Snorting, she replied: ”Deserted is probably still an understatement. You are the first beings I have encountered here for quite a long time,” though with a frowning look towards the lake she added, ”apart of course from the occasional smaller animals.” Her gaze however was constantly dragged back to the lake, as she kept thinking that whenever she was not looking, she could see a shimmering in the corner of her eye. ”My name is Abraxas by the way. May I inquire as to what yours are?” She actually had to force herself to keep her head facing the dragon and his rider, though this fact was making her shift about in the lake nervously, her tails flicking more and more, in regular intervals hitting the surface of the water in agitation.

| The dragon shifted uneasily when his rider mentioned the woods No, we shall set camp in the mountains. His rider just nodded, letting him know that he understands. " I am Silver, Ladon's rider."
He noticed the other dragon looking around from the corner of her eyes. " if you don't mind me asking, is there something you're looking for? We might be able to help." He asked
He reached for his pockets, and sighed. Apparently, he forgot to put his Stele in the saddle, he took the small piece of twisted metal that has a coin sized diamond in the middle, surrounded my small onyx stones, making a shape stand out - a raven. It shined brightly in the sun, he inspected it for any damage, although he already know that nothing would even scratch the metal.

| Vaguely, the horse dragon noticed the other dragon shifting about uneasily as the forest was mentioned, but she didn’t pay it any heed, it not being of her concern. She rarely was fussed about where she was sleeping, sometimes not sleeping much at all, simply dozing a few hours, sprawled out in the middle of a green field. As her thoughts circled around this, her eyes briefly strayed through the valley, looking away from the lake and the two in front of her for a very short moment, contemplating a nap, though she quickly tried to focus on the glittery bit again, which still was evading her stare.
At Silver’s words, the horse dragon looked a little embarrassed, not having wanted to be so very obvious as she had been. ”well…” Abraxas shifted about uneasily, making the surface splash even more. She felt a little awkward admitting to this crazy obsession of hers for the past probably hour or so in the meantime but if they were actually willing to help, then why not? Silver had already dived into the lake to retrieve something of his, maybe he wouldn’t mind going in again to have a look? ”You see, there is something down at the bottom of the lake that was shining into my eyes earlier and I was wondering what it was, but ever since I haven’t been able to locate it again. Though I would like quite to know what that was.” There was hardly any need to mention that this was bugging her quite a bit, her voice speaking volumes, as per usual, though an edge of embarrassment was quite audible as well, and she only risked a shifty glance at Ladon, wondering what the other dragon might think of this.
However, her attention was quickly caught by something new again as the man extracted something, the horse dragon almost gasped, shiny out of his pocket and inspected it very thoroughly. Despite herself, she edged a little closer, peering at the coin-shaped object in his hands, amazed by the handiwork of the thing. ”What is that?” Abraxas asked, unable to hold back her curiosity, now stepping even closer to the two.

| Silver chuckled lightly at the dragon's curiosity, "That would be called a Stele, it's some sort of weapon to people like us." He looked at the deep waters for a second, and then looked back at his dragon. A tingling feelig in his palm which has the Rider symbol.
He looked at his dragon, Get me my sword, Ladon. He didn't want to scare the other dragon. Ladon nodded briefly, a few minutes later, he came back with the sleek black sword between his jaws. Silver gladly took the sword and slung it on his back.
" I shall have a look around," He said while smiling. He took a deep breath and dived in the middle of the lake.
Looking around beneath the surface, he started making his way deeper to the bottom. He noticed something shinig with the corner of his eyes, he turned around, stunned, and reached to free his sword from its sheath, hopig that the creature wouldn't sense him as he made his way back to the surface.
He broke through the surface of the water, the creature following behind. " Get to the shore! Now!" He snapped at the two, as he clung to Ladon's neck.

| Frowning, the horse dragon noted Silver’s chuckle but didn’t comment, knowing herself that her curiosity was somewhat overwhelming sometimes. ”It hardly looks like a weapon though,” she replied as her nose moved ever closer to this thing he had called a Stele, almost touching it but then she didn’t dare. Looking at the man through squinted eyes, she added: ”And what do you mean by people like you?” In all her interest in the Stele, she barely noticed Ladon trot away for a few moments, but her attention rather stayed focused on the man. As mistrusting as she was towards humans, if they were riders, they couldn’t be as bad as the normal lot running around now, could they? Thus, she didn’t have too many reservations talking to him openly, and in addition, he did have quite a few advantages. Shiny things aside, he was willing to help her, unlike most humans, who would have started chasing her by now and despite herself, she was a little impressed.
”Thank you,” Abraxas replied happily, immediately turning towards the midst of the lake, waddling in deeper to see what Silver would come up with. She saw him swim around underwater but couldn’t distinguish much else, and of course the shine was not apparent now, until… Is that it?! she thought excitedly, but as soon as she had thought this, Silver was hurriedly breaking through the water and ordered the two dragons out of the lake. On instinct more than anything else, the horse dragon turned and rushed to the shore, or at least she tried.
Whatever had made Silver rush out of the lake, was appearing now with a loud splash, sending small waves through the water, who made Abraxas tumble. Her hooves weren’t made for sprinting on slippery surfaces and she was paying the price for her curiosity now as suddenly tentacles grabbed for her and tried to drag her back towards the middle of the lake. Whinnying loudly, the horse dragon tried kicking at them but by now they were too firmly wound around her right hind leg, pulling harder than she could hold on with her left hind leg, the only clawed foot she had left, her two front legs having hooves in typical horse fashion.
A loud roar made her fur and scales stand on edge, though she did briefly wonder how a sea monster could make such a sound before with a last heavy pull, the beast had broken her tiny hold on the ground and within seconds had pulled her towards it.

| Silver tightened his grip on the sword and rushed to help the horse dragon. He took the stele out, and drew some strange black rune on his right forearm, which turned silver.
He freed the dragon with a swing of hid sword, and Ladon helped lead her to safty. As Silver tried to land another blow, it disappeared beneath the surface, he took it as a chance to join the dragons. In a matter of seconds his form blurred and he appeared next to Ladon gasping for breath.
"We need to move." We need to move. Both of them said the same thing at the same time.
Silver quickly secured the saddle on his dragon's back, and wore his own armor. "Are you coming with us?" He asked the horse dragon.

| Struggling fiercely to get back some kind of grasp on the overly slippery ground, Abraxas soon began panicking as the ground started vanishing underneath her feet as the beast pulled it away further and further from the shore. Even flapping her wings for leverage didn’t help; the monster’s grip was too strong for the relatively small dragon to be broken. However, after what to her seemed like ages, Silver appeared next to her, hacking away at the monster’s tentacles and Abraxas abruptly splashed face first into the water, thrown by her own weight.
Within another few seconds, Ladon was by her side as well and helped her gain safe ground beneath her feet again, and she soon stood on the lake’s edge, taking one shaky breath after another, her wings hanging down from the shock and exhaustion following it. As Silver seemed to appear next to them almost out of thin air, she jumped a little, but didn’t pay it anymore attention that a human was usually not supposed to be able to do that. ”Thank you,” she said, everything about her still shaking from the strain, even her voice.
As Abraxas noticed Silver strap on armour and the dragon’s saddle again, she could only agree that they needed to get out of here, she didn’t care where, just out of this place. She had gotten herself, and now others along with it, into enough trouble for the day, and nothing sounded better than heading away. ”If you don’t mind, then I would like to come along for a while, yes.” Not a coward, the horse dragon still felt the need not to be alone right now, plus, despite the recent shock, she was still curious as to who these two were and maybe she could find out more if she went with them.
Shaking herself like a wet dog and rustling her wings to get rid of the water that seemed to be winding its way all over her body towards the most uncomfortable places, the horse dragon suddenly heard a splash behind her and with a short yelp, jumped up into the air, with what she hoped a little grace despite her being scared. ”Are you going to head for the mountains then?” she asked, remembering their previous conversation about finding a decent place to sleep, while she was hovering over them, waiting for them to be ready, waiting to be out of reach of those icky tentacles.

| Silver got on the dragon's back, and with two strong beats of his wings, Ladon took off. "You're welcome to join for as long as you need. We shall be staying in the mountains for now." Silver spoke in a very calm and collected manner, "Or we might stay near them in case you don't want to head for the mountains." He added as an afterthought.
He untied the bow from the saddle, and slung it on his back. He leaned over the saddle, fighting agains the vicious air currents.
The sun started to set behind the mountains, bathing everything with golden light. Ladon looked back at the lake, just in time to see the creature breaking through the surface yet once again, and heard it unleashing a beasty roar.

| As soon as Ladon had lifted off the ground as well, the horse dragon beat her wings with more vigor to get away from the lake as soon as possible. ”The mountains are just fine,” Abraxas replied, ”it’s been quite a while since I’ve taken a trip into the heights actually.” She couldn’t even remember the last time she had set foot on a mountain pass or even a peak, thus it would definitely be a nice change for her.
The further they went away from the lake, the more lighthearted Abraxas grew again and she soon began drawing circles around Ladon, who was carrying Silver on his back, having almost completely forgotten about the beast in the lake again. That was until it suddenly let out one final roar that sent a shiver down her spine, making not only her fur stand on edge, but making her jump as well. ”What on earth was that thing anyways?!” she asked, not sure whether either of them knew. For her own part, she hadn’t seen much of the monster and by now, she was fairly glad of it.
Abraxas forced herself to concentrate on the nicer things again, like the last warm rays of sunlight caressing her body, tinting everything in a golden light, even Ladon and Silver, especially.. Wait a minute, she thought, only now noticing the human’s eyes. They are naturally golden?! Her curiosity once again raised, the horse dragon addressed the man, immediately wanting to find out more. ”How come you have such an unusual eye colour, Silver?”
The flight towards the mountain didn’t take very long and they soon reached a nice little plateau somewhere in the middle of the mountains with a few lonesome bushes and something that looked like a cave opening adorning it. ”This might be a decent place to spend the night?” she suggested, unsure what exactly it was they were looking for. She herself was used to sleeping out in the open, especially when the weather was nice; in the worst case her fur and wings could always provide some protection against rain or the cold.

| Silver's eyes shined as he heard the dragon questioning about their color, " I'm not a normal human. Once a month my eyes turn silver, that's where I got my name from. As for the monster, I have never seen such thing before..." We should go and have another look. He told Ladon who just nodded.
When they landed in the clearing, Silver began to take off the saddle of the dragon's back. He looked around, satisfied, "This place is just fine. But it will be cold soon, and soon enough it will be dark. I'll go get some firewood."
Ladon rested under a tree, What were you doing looking for shiny objects in the lake? He thought it would be a decent way to start a conversation.

| "They turn silver?!" The horse dragon almost squeaked excitedly at this, completely dismissing the fact that Silver had just told her he was not completely human. "That sounds very cool! And why is that?" She figured by now she could be bold enough to ask such straight forward question, even though she generally didn't have too much of a problem with being fairy direct to about anyone.
The horse dragon folded her wings close to her body after having performed a small running landing to not kill her legs which now seemed a little shaky after all after the whole monster-in-the-lake incident and Abraxas was glad she did not have to spend the next few hours by herself, even if it was with beings she barely knew. She couldn't deny however that she so far quite liked the dragon and his rider, aside the fact that they had most likely just saved her from a horrible death by drowning, or being eaten by a tentacly creature. As she slumped down onto the floor not too far from Ladon, she resisted the urge to let herself fall over onto her side and take a nap straight away.
Laughing at Ladon's words, Abraxas replied: "I was bored and the shiny object was the only thing to actually give me something to do in this forsaken place. Have you noticed how there is literally nothing around here?" Then she added with a groan: "Well apart from that hideous beast, obviously." Sighing, Abraxas gently nibbled along the edge of her wing where it was meeting with her back to get rid of the itching sensation that had started bugging her, she thought back over the incident. "Did you even see what that thing looked like? I only noticed tentacles... Was it the monster that was producing the shiny effects in the water?" Curiously she looked at Ladon, wondering if he could tell her anything new about this, wondering if she should dare and go back at some point to see what the purpose of the monster's presence even was.

| Silver got back with the fire wood, scribbling something with his stele on one log, it lit the whole pile. He sat between Ladon and Abraxas, " Well... They turn silver because ..." He sighed, " Why don't we start from the beginning? Humans like me are called Shadowhunters, there isn't many of us. And we usually work in groups... You can say that we're the balance keepers between good and evil." He paused and poked the fire with a twig, eyes fixed on the the flickering flames.
" People like me look extremely normal, no one really knows why my eyes are different, or my hair for that matter." He smiled bitterly, eyes still fixed on the flames.
I only saw shiny scales. I am almost sure that it's head was beneath the surface. It looked deadly, I don't recommend going back there He addressed the horse dragon.

| Abraxas kept her gaze fixed on the log Silver had scribbled the runes on, puzzling over why this Stele had so much power; it was odd. Fire by simply writing a few symbols, it wasn’t like she didn’t enjoy the warmth of the fire, especially now that the sun was slowly beginning to disappear behind the tree tops and the heat from the logs was drying off the rest of the water that had stubbornly remained in her fur and scales.
As Silver began to explain who he was however, the horse dragon turned towards him, frowning lightly. ”I don’t see any others of your kind however,” she pointed out. ”Why don’t you work in a group then?” The question seemed to be a fairly obvious one to her, though of course as soon as she had uttered the words, she remembered that some humans, magical or not, were likely to die rather quickly sometimes and she was certain she would be stepping on some toes again by asking such direct questions.
Hearing the bitter streak that was sneaking into his voice however, she added in a, for her, very gentle manner: ”Maybe your eyes and hair are different because you’re more special than the others.” It’s what almost any being wanted, no? Being special? With a grin, she looked at Ladon when the dragon addressed her about the monster: ”Maybe you’re right,” but she left the unspoken part of that sentence hanging free in the air. Not going back to check it out was probably the only option they could rule out for certain and Abraxas was getting the impression that Silver would not be able to leave this being’s behaviour behind unexplained either. But maybe she was wrong.

| Sliver shook his head upon hearing Abraxas talking about his eyes, but he didn't say a word about that. "You don't see any one of our kind because we weren't meant to bee seen. You'd be lucky to even hear that we exist. While I work alone because I prefer to do so." Came his reply.
He went back next to the saddle and settled down for the night, his black sword within reach. "Get some rest. We leave first thing in the morning." He addressed the two dragons.
Ladon just shrugged. I shall go look for a decent dinner. You're on your own youngling. He then looked at the horse dragon as if asking her if she wanted to join the hunt.

| Lifting an eyebrow at Silver’s words, Abraxas refrained from commenting any further at least to her ears, it had sounded like a fairly dismissive reply that she did not appreciate. By all means, she would leave him to sulk if he wanted to, she wouldn’t try and be nice anymore if he didn’t want to accept it. Of course, she might have been the one hundredth being to say such words to him but still, how could she know?
Flicking her tail from side to side in a small gesture of annoyance, Abraxas turned her attention away from her two companions and looked out over the valley, dismissing his words for the dragons to rest. Resting was the last thing she would be able to do now, the night was approaching, the shadows were growing longer, and she was too unsettled after the lake incident.
Glancing back to the campsite, she noticed Ladon looking at her, and she simply dipped her head in agreement. A hunt would definitely be in order now, and as if on cue her stomach started rumbling. ”I’m quite in the mood for some mountain lion. What do you think?” she inquired of the dragon, thinking about what else they could find around here that would be tasty and not on the daily menu usually. Deer was so boring after a while, but mountain lion… Tasty and a bit of entertainment to catch it on top of it.

| That sound good. Although I don't mind eating whatever we end up finding There was a low rumbling sound coming from his throat which sounded strangely like a chuckle.
He had already taken off and was waiting for the other dragon to do so. He noted her annoyance back when Silver replied. He was in a bad mood alright, Ladon looked back at the darkened sky, noting that it is a full moon. That mean he wasn't imagining things, There's the explanation for his behavior. He addressed the horse dragon while nodding at the moon. He is never like this, I can assure you that. Well, not when there's a full moon in the sky. He hopes that the other dragon would understand.
No one wants to be around a Shadoehunter in a full moon. It is just too dangerous.

| Abraxas opened her wings and with a few running steps took off into the sky after Ladon, lightly flapping her wings in the quiet night air, disturbed only by the usual sounds. ”Good then, let’s go hunt us some snacks,” Abraxas replied, a light chuckle coming from her throat as well at the sound of Ladon’s. The latter was quiet, but seemed to be a good companion and Abraxas appreciated his calm aura as it was a nice change to her own.
Glancing up at the full moon at Ladon’s motion, she replied in astonishment: ”He goes with the moon? How odd.” She had heard of some people having mood swings according to the lunar phases but she had always thought those where merely myths. ”How come he changes when there is a full moon?” Maybe it had something to do with the fact he wasn’t completely human, she didn’t know, but of course, the curiosity was nagging as it always was.
Not too long into their flight, Abraxas deviated a little and turned towards another plateau in the mountains she had spotted where there seemed to be some movement, hoping it was mountain lions or something similar at least. ”Oh well, well, this looks promising,” she exclaimed, delighted, as she indeed spotted the desired food, two of them, distracted by fighting each other. ”This will almost too easy,” she grinned at Ladon.

| You might find out why. Who know? I myself found out not too long ago, Ladon flew even higher, touching some clouds with the tips of his wings. That always managed to sooth his nerves.
The feeling of the air under his wings, and the clod night air made him huff amused watching his breath turn white.
Ladon saw their prey, two mountain lions fighting each other, he looked back at Abraxas, equally grinning I'll race you to them. And with that, he swooped down to claim his food.

| There was no denying that Ladon’s reply had intrigued the horse dragon and Abraxas was now very interested in finding out why it was that Silver was different when there was a full moon, or what implications something like that would entail. Filing this knowledge away for later use however, she now concentrated on the task at hand, namely racing Ladon to the lions.
With a playful and relatively silent roar so as not to chase their food away, Abraxas replied to Ladon’s challenge and immediately launched herself in pursuit of the dark dragon, the two mountain lions still completely oblivious to their impending doom. She enjoyed the feeling of the night air brushing by very quickly, cooling off her scales, almost making her eyes water, as the two dragons swooped down like two huge, deadly birds of prey.
The only problem the horse dragon really had was the fact that her front legs had hooves, so there was always a risk of her prey making a dash for it before she could position herself properly for grabbing her victim in her hind talons but the two mountain lions were so engorged in their own battle and then suddenly so stunned that they were both overwhelmed instead of one of them overwhelming the other that they barely reacted to this new threat, making the catch even easier for the horse dragon. Once her claws had grasped the lion’s back fur, she let her whole weight fall onto the beast for a soft landing for herself that would crush her prey underneath her, and she immediately bent down to dig in joyfully.
